I am one of those people who is very picky about who does anything with my hair. A bad haircut, or hair colouring, can ruin my entire day. So, when I find a salon I like, I make sure to tell everyone about it. Anytime someone comments on my great hair, I'll namedrop and make sure they know exactly where the salon is, and who to see. And for me, these days, it is Whyte Avenue Hair Company.
Honestly, it is a bit pricier than a discount hair salon, but if you are someone who, like myself, is picky about who touches your hair, then it is worth the little bit of extra money. To give you an idea of how much, I have long hair, and normally I need at least two, if not three, applications of colour as well. This normally costs me about $150-170. But it is very much worth every penny.
I get great service everytime, and all of the stylists here are great to interact with. But my favorite is definitely Marc! If you are going there for the first time, absolutely ask for him. He is the best!

This is one of the best products that Body Shop has ever come out with. I have dry skin, which becomes even drier in the winter time due to the climate of the area I live in. And winter is such a challenge to try to keep my hands from becoming dry, cracked and painful. A few years ago, I went into the Body Shop to pick up another hand lotion, one which I love the scent of but honestly, it was not doing the job of keeping my hands moisturized. One of the wonderful sales associates encouraged me to try the Hemp Hand Cream, and to be honest, I did not like the scent of it all when I first tried it. And it did take me some time to get used to it, but once I did, and I noticed the obvious difference in my skin, I was in love with it. It is a little pricey, but it is worth every cent. I also keep a small tube of it in my purse to use throughout the day. -

I also prefer this deodorant to others, as I find it both effective and long lasting. I can use it first thing in the morning, and come home from work at night, and still find it working. I love the baby powder scent myself, although sometimes I like to try out the more exotic scents in their sister line of Dove deodorants. It can sometimes leave a slight residue when I wear black clothing, but I have found that many deodorants tend to do that. All in all, it is still my usual brand. -
