An assortment of chocolates with a familiar hazelnut crunch and smooth chocolate finish is the best way to end a busy day. Add a cup of tea and I'm ready to relax! The new Ferrero Rocher hazelnut chocolate squares were sent for free from Butterly and Ferrero Rocher to try and these new treats make Ferrero Rocher chocolates accessible all year long, not just for the Christmas holidays. Smooth chocolate and a crunchy bite, you can't go wrong!
I've never been a big fan of white chocolate but the addition of light hazelnuts made the flavour much nicer, and the dark chocolate was smooth and creamy without a bitter aftertaste. The milk chocolate is always classic and I just can't choose a favourite! I guess I'll just have to have some more!

I am an all-season gardener and after bending and stretching for hours while weeding the garden beds or hauling soil around, my muscles start complaining....LOUDLY! To sooth the muscles that I didn't know I had, I usually turn to a hot shower, but sometimes that doesn't do the trick, so I tried this free sample of Myoflex Extra Strength Pain Relief Rub. It feels good when applying to my achy muscles without the greasy, smelly experience of other brands. I was pleasantly surprised that my body started feeling better without any hot or cold sensation on my skin, and the lotion absorbed quickly leaving no residue behind. I will have this product ready during the busy spring gardening season to keep me moving without pain or discomfort. -

My husband had a craving for Whistle Dogs so this was a great opportunity to try something new! After frying up some Turkey Bacon, I added it to butterflied, pan fried Butterball Turkey Franks in a fresh hot dog bun, added some cheese (everything's better with cheese!) and his favourite toppings for a filling meal with less fat than regular processed meats.
I found the Turkey Franks to be less greasy or fatty than regular hot dogs but the texture and the flavours tasted like old family favourites. This is a great alternative when you want something familiar but better for you and with less guilt.

I haven't cooked with Turkey Bacon before so I wasn't sure what to expect. The new Butterball Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon was definitely the right place to start since it smells just like regular bacon as it's cooking. It doesn't cook like regular bacon so cooking lower and slower is key to even browning.
My husband had a craving for Whistle Dogs so this was a great opportunity to try something new! After frying up the Turkey Bacon, I added it to the pan fried Butterball Turkey Franks in a fresh hot dog bun, added some cheese (everything's better with cheese!) and his favourite toppings for a filling meal with less fat than regular processed meats.
I found that cooking at a lower temperature was important since there isn't much fat in the pan as it cooks so turning the turkey bacon frequently was important for even cooking. The flavour was smoky with a more chewy bacon texture. This would be great also in a BLT or breakfast sandwich.
I would definitely try the Butterball Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon again as an alternative to regular bacon.

Getting ready for the local Farmers Market is fast with Blue Lizard Mineral Sunscreen.
I prefer mineral-based sunscreen products because they don't cause stains on my clothes like the chemical-based products however it's often hard to find a mineral-based sunscreen that fully absorbs without leaving a white residue. I tried the Blue Lizard Mineral Sunscreen for Sensitive skin before heading to my local farmers market on a beautiful sunny day and I was really impressed with how smooth the application of the cream was on my skin and it absorbed much faster than other brands I have tried. After shopping in the sun for a few hours, I noticed that the sunscreen did it's job: no sunburn! I got a slight suntan on my neck which would have easily been a painful burn if not for Blue Lizard!
Later this year, I have a trip to Hawaii scheduled and I will definitely be picking up another tube of Blue Lizard mineral-based sunscreen for that trip since it's reef-safe. I fully expect to use up this tube over the summer while walking the dog, gardening, and enjoying the local farmers markets.

The sink in the bathroom needed to be replaced and I received this free tube of Alex Plus All Purpose Acrylic Latex Caulk Plus Silicone to review in time to use on this project! I'm learning more home improvement skills from my dad and this product is easy to use for a lot of projects around the home. The caulking dispenses smoothly, dries quickly but with time to correct mistakes, and is paintable once dry! The 300mL tube has plenty of product inside to complete multiple projects, including in the bathroom, kitchen, and around windows and doors. I will be going around the house practicing my new skills just in time for winter weatherproofing!

After successful use of blemish patches with the same Hydrocolloid feature, I had high hopes for the new Band-Aid Pro Heal adhesive bandages. Let's start with the positives: the bandage size AND the hydrocolloid gel pad are quite large so I can use this for a lot of different sizes of cuts and scrapes, which is great for when I'm gardening to keep the dirt out and allow the wound to heal quickly. My disappointment in this product lies in the adhesion. I've used many Band-Aid branded adhesive bandages in my time and they stick to skin really well! However, this particular product took some work to get it to stick. I definitely wouldn't be able to reposition this bandage if I happened to place it wrong the first time, as it would never stick again. I have tried applying bandage to my skin and to itself around my finger but it starts coming off right away.
This product has its place in the First Aid kit, however it wouldn't be my go-to if I was being active or in another scenario where the bandage could fall off. In those cases, I'll stick to the original Band-Aid adhesive bandages.

The Lubriderm Unscented Lotion with Pro-Ceramide sample I received is just what I need! Being in the food manufacturing industry, scented personal care products are not allowed since the smell can transfer to the food products, but the frequent hand washing and use of cleaning chemicals can reek havoc on my hands. The creamy lotion from Lubriderm keeps my hands moisturized without being greasy so I can safely and effectively do my job. The lotion won't clog pores either, so I can use this as a facial moisturizer in a pinch! I love multi-use products! -
