I now have a new favorite mascara! The bar is now set really high for all up and comers since I tried out this mascara by Eyeko London. The container is different, a squeezable tube, so you can get every last drop of this fabulous mascara onto your lashes. The brush is slightly curved - perfectly touching all my lashes. The deep black colour is gorgeous and it stayed on my lashes all day instead of making it's way down my face. It didn't stink and felt really light on my lashes. There were absolutely no clumps, just long, full, curled lashes, even without using an eyelash curler first. It was also really easy to remove which is so important.
Best. Mascara. Ever.

I received this free as part of a BrandBacker campaign and was really excited to try it out.
First off, this lip gloss smells amazing! I just had to sniff the applicator for awhile! Three colours come in the kit, a red, a pink and an orange, all are light and pretty. The gloss goes on smooth and light and doesn't feel sticky or gross. It also removed really easily without leaving your lips feeling dried out. This gloss also tastes pretty good, but I'm not sure that's a feature you want in a lipgloss!

I had so much fun with this nail kit! It comes with 3 polish colours (blue, pink and silver glitter) and 3 glitter colours (blue, pink and multi) and so many possible colour combinations. I received this free as part of a BrandBacker campaign and was really excited to try it out. The polish needs 3 coats to get a true colour, but the smell is decent and it lasts a while. Once you put the glitter on your nails and it's all dry, it lasts a long time, even without topcoat and doesn't snag hair or clothes. It comes off easily and cleanly with remover, even the glitter polish (although that one needs a little more effort), it's still easier to remove than some others I've tried. Love the colours and love that you get so much for about $17.00 CDN!

It's expensive, though - even with giftcards and it being on sale I spent $300. -
Tassimo T45 Home Brewing System

Between the Keurig and the Tassimo, the Tassimo definitely wins. The range of types of coffee is excellent, from regular to latte to iced tea and pretty much everything in between. These newer models are faster than ever (I'm on my third machine) and the lattes come out hot and flavourful. Pricing is ok for the pods, but the machine can be found for as low as $60 in some places when on sale.
My only issue is that with the regular coffees and espresso there is a slight aftertaste to the coffee - and almost all the regular coffees taste pretty much the same, whether it's Nabob, Second Cup or McCafe.

I absolutely love the taste of McDonald's McCafe coffee but I hate having to go out of my way each morning to get my fix. When they came out with the grinds that I could purchase in store along with my regular groceries, I was sure to grab a bag.
The flavour is exactly as it should be - tastes just like I got it from the drive-thru. It's pricey, but only if you compare the price to Maxwell House or Nabob. It's in the same range as Tim Horton's, which makes sense, I guess.
I wish that they had a coarse grind option (I only found fine grind) as coffee is more flavourful in a drip coffee maker with coarser grind coffee.

I can't even tell you how excited I was to find out that McCafe was going to be available for my Tassimo. I went out looking for it the next day and brought it home, tore open the package and made myself a cup. I absolutely love starting my day with McDonald's McCafe and making it at home sounded like such an amazing convenience for me.
However, I was very disappointed with the result. One pod exploded in the machine and the coffee itself tasted just like every other coffee that is offered for the Tassimo. Just meh with an aftertaste.
I would suggest you buy the grinds and make it in your french press.

This has to be the longest lasting nail polish I have ever owned! It's a pretty shade of dark purple which is great for all the fall colours I'm wearing right now. Two coats are so shiny and gorgeous. This polish sure stands up to wear also. After a full 2 days of house work and my regular work (opening boxes, putting up signs, ripping plastic off of handbags, in other words, tough on nailpolish work) it still didn't chip. On the 3rd day the tips began to wear, but still no chips. I would recommend this polish to anyone who needs long-wearing polish in a great colour. -

I tried this out after receiving a sample. The product works well, I tried it on a load of towels and they were no better or worse than they usually are. The pods are convenient, but a waste if I'm only doing a small, quick load. Unscented is nice... +

The pods are convenient, but a waste if I'm only doing a small, quick load. Unscented is nice, but we don't have any sensitivities or allergies, so the extra cost for this is not necessary.
