I'm really pleased with this new shampoo from the Garnier Wholeblends line that I got to try. Firstly I love that the packaging is 100% recycled plastic and I think the gold leaf cap is adorable and functional. I like that the bottles aren't too thick making it easy to squeeze out product. For ingredients I love that this shampoo has salicylic acid and conditioning oils. This shampoo is great in that it cleans and lathers well but doesn't leave my hair stripped feeling. Not sure how much the charcoal in the formula is doing but it doesn't stain at all. Over all I'm pleased with this shampoo- it should be easy to access and I really like the cruelty-free ingredients. -

I really like this conditioner from the Garnier Wholeblends line. I love that the bottles are 100% recycled and the cute gold leaf cap. I also love that the bottles aren't too thick- it's easy to squeeze out the product. This conditioner worked well on my very tangle-prone hair. I did find it to be a bit too much moisture so I needed to be careful how far up I placed the conditioner but overall I'm pleased. Not sure how effective the charcoal is. Has a nice mild 'fresh' scent. Not offensive or overpowering. -

I purchased two of these highlighters after watching a bunch of online reviews. I was still blown away when I got these in person. The two shades I got are Moon Talk and Warm Sunshine. Warm Sunshine is the more 'wearable' shade but it is in no way boring. It's the peach/white gold/copper highlighter that I've wanted for ages. It blends in faultlessly and has the most stunning shift between the three colours, with peach as the most prominent colour. Moon Talk is stunning too, but much more adventurous. It is light green to turquoise with a light purple. It's mainly the light green but again blends in faultlessly and gives amazing shine. Both aren't what I would quantify as glittery, instead they have a sheen with some shimmer. They are also transparent in the base shade which is fantastic for my pale skin, but will work on multiple skin tones. Additionally, the packaging is really good quality. Sturdy and pretty with the beautiful moon detailing on both the outside of the compact and pressed into the powders themselves. They also colour coded the stickers with the shade info, so you can easily identify between multiple colours at a glance. Overall I love these and I would highly recommend. I want more and I want to try out some of the blushes from this release too! -

Just got this makeup brush cleaner mini kit on amazon and I am blown away by how well it works! Purchased myself for under $10 this thing is a steal. It looks silly, but the little tin has soap in one side and a silicone scrubby on the lid (which is suctioned on there and therefore removable for cleaning). Add a little water, mix your brush in the soap then run it over the soft silicone side and rinse. Seriously has cut my washing time down by half. I was skeptical this would work with how shallow the scrub side is but I’m so glad I took a chance on this. Best of all the lid shuts securely so you won’t have water or soap dripping on things when you are done.
Also the soap has no noticeable fragrance which is a bonus.
Overall, highly recommend.

I went back and forth on purchasing this palette for over a year and I'm so happy that I finally went for it. The theme of this palette is cute, but what is worth writing about is definitely the products inside. I love subdued colours, and these sage-greens are the stars of the show for me. Baby Face is my favourite-it's not a straight mint or grass green. It's got a subdued almost dusty tone to it which brings it from something that might be too much to wearable for me. Right Hand Mando is a beautiful shimmery silver-green shade which comes off almost neutral. The mattes are soft and bendable, the shimmers impactful and there are a couple super shock shadows in here too (a soft of almost putty texture). By far the best quality palette I've purchased from colourpop and the size is perfect for travel in a surprisingly sturdy cardboard palette with a mirror. All for under $22 Canadian (even less if you can catch one of Colourpop's sales or affiliate codes). If you like greens, I'd highly recommend this palette- just hope Colourpop won't discontinue it like they do with so much else! -

I purchased this 3 Steps to Contour Palette from Catrice because I was desperately looking for a cool-toned, light coloured matte contour shade that would suit my pale skin. I wanted something not too expensive, cruelty-free and preferably without micro plastics in the formula (many have Nylon as an ingredient). This product amazingly clicks ALL the boxes. The contour is the perfect cool-toned, buildable shade that works perfect on any pale skin. The matte highlighter shade is fantastic as well a lovely creamy shade. I've not used the bronzer of the three (I just don't use bronzer) but I think it will work great as a transition eyeshadow shade. I couldn't be happier. The contour shade doesn't hard pan, and though a touch powdery there is a lot of product in the pan-7.5g total in the palette. If you can get a hold of it, I'd recommend this for fellow pale-skinned girls. I really don't think the shade of the palette I got would work on those with deeper skin tones sadly. -

Sort of like creamsicle- vanilla and citrus. Very moisturizing even after the colour fades. It lost a star for not having the best taste if you accidentally get some in your mouth. Overall really pleased with this gloss and I'd buy more shades. -

I'm very allergic to Soy bean and Soy bean oil and for some reason they decided to add in this. Very disappointed as there isn't any need to add soy to this. -

I wanted to love this mascara. I liked the ingredients and I had heard such good things about Ilia's mascaras so I bit the bullet and bought the mini. When first applied this mascara looks nice. I like the brush shape, it does add volume and it's a nice depth of black. But this always smudges on me. Always. And then the smudges are difficult to get rid of. It's also difficult to remove at the end of the day. For the price of this mascara I'm just not impressed at all. So my search for an amazing mascara without plastic in the formula continues. -
