I had the pleasure of testing Dove Refresh+Care Invigorating Dry Shampoo for free as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club. As I am no stranger to dry shampoos, I was very excited to see what Dove had in store for me! I make it a rule to try and wash my hair only once every few days, so dry shampoo is an essential part of my hair care routine. Firstly, the can's design is lovely and easy to read. As the instructions are also simple to follow( spray onto oily roots, rub a bit, then brush out), I kept the Dove Refresh + Care in my gym bag. After using the dry shampoo on several occasions, I can say that the scent was strong yes, so I had to do little spurts. Personally, there wasn't a residue or strawlike texture left on my blonde hair (like many other dry shampoos leave on me), as it somewhat absorbed the oil from my dirty, unclean, greasy roots, and left it fairly fresh, manageable, and a little volumized! Overall, Dove Refresh +Care Dry Shampoo does the trick on my hair, though I'm sure the ingredients could be improved. It's a beautifully scented, somewhat effective, and refreshing take on any dry shampoo, and as an added bonus, a portion of each purchase goes to the Dove Self-Esteem Fund. It's a lifesaver for those of us with little time but want refreshed, volumized locks. -

I had the pleasure of testing Dove Style + Care Flexible Hold Hairspray for free as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club. As this was my first experience with a Dove Hairspray, I had high hopes for the product... And it did not disappoint! I have very long straight hair that is often a pain when it comes to being able to hold the style I want. After following a regiment of Dove Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner, I used Dove Style +Care Flexible Hold Hairspray to keep my wild mane in check! The somewhat strong hold was perfect, but not sticky like some of my other hairsprays. It gave me just enough of a flexible, loose hold, shine, and natural movement that lasted well into the into the day (both curled and striaght). Even with this bitter cold and harsh winds, I noticed the spray helped prevent frizz and fly-aways, which for a hat wearer like me, is ah-mazing!! Overall, I will definitely be purchasing this hairspray again!! The scent is a tad strong but beautiful, the aerosol can's design is welcoming and easy to read, and most of all...the spray does what it says it will! It provided this long haired gal with a somewhat lasting, strong, shiny, and flexible hold for hours! -

I had the pleasure of testing Dove Pure Care Dry Oil With African Macadamia Oil for free as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club. In the past, I had not had instant success with dry oils, as it took me many attempts to find the right amount of product to apply to my hair, without making it look greasy and dull. That being said, I was a tad bit anxious to see if the directions on the beautifully sophisticated Dove bottle were spot on. After using Dove Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Shampoo and Conditioner, I applied 3 pumps of oil to my palm, worked it a bit, then ran it through my damp hair, mid-length to ends. To my surprise, the Dove Pure Care Dry Oil did what it claimed! 3-4 pumps of their strong but lovely scented oil was more then enough, and after air drying my locks, my hair was not greasy, but soft, shiny, and overall, it just looked so much more healthy! Upon reading the beautifully crafted box, I was surprised to learn I could use the Dry Oil as a pre-shampoo nourishing treatment, as well as a pre-styling product. In all, I would definitely recommend this Dove Pure Care Dry Oil to those looking to nourish, soften, and give new life and shine to their hair. After a few more attempts and washes, I have no doubt I will be recommending this to my gals! Time to give life to our dried out, dull Canadian locks! -

I had the pleasure of testing Dove Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Conditioner for free as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club. As I have been a fan of Dove's products for years, I was completely excited to test and review the Dove Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Conditioner. Just like the Dove shampoo, the lovely bottle claimed that a MicroMoisture Serum would norish my hair without weighing it down in harsh residue. After several uses, I can confidently say that the Dove Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Conditioner follows through with those 'promises.' After trying so many other brands' conditioners, I am so thrilled how healthy, detangled, and beautiful my hair feels, looks, and smells! The conditioner felt like silk going into my hair, and after waiting about 2 minutes to rinse, it felt the same after air drying. I also noticed the fly-aways and static were under control...which is a hard feat considering this harsh, bitter, windy winter weather on my long, damaged hair! This Dove system put a stop to my daily hair dryness, and I could not be more pumped for others to tame their wild manes! I will totally be recommending the Dove Nutritive Solutions line to family and friends, and I personally can't wait to go on and try more Dove hair care products myself! -

I had the pleasure of testing Dove Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Shampoo for free as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club. I have tried many different Dove shampoos over the years, to which I experienced mixed results. Some have been a staple in my shower for a year because they made my hair look totally va-va-voom! While others did not give me the desired result for my particular hair type. I was totally eager then to try Dove Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Shampoo, because who doesn't need a hair moisture boost in this harsh Canadian winter! On the beautiful bottle, which is textually appealing and completely user friendly (thank you for having one bottle up and one bottle down to easily show me shampoo vs. conditioner!), it claims that the shampoo's MicroMoisture Serum can quench dry hair and keep it smooth and easy-to-manage. After using the shampoo several times, I can say that this is a keeeee-per! Not only did I see my hair become more supple and healthy (unlike the claims of multiple other brands' shampoos I have bought this year), but I noticed a difference in the amount of static and daily fly-aways I had. The shampoo is so gorgeously scented that its hard to not want to wash your hair everyday! Even after air drying, I found myself running my hands through my hair or catching a whiff of my pampered locks! In all, I have slightly dry hair, and I can definitely recommend Dove Nutritive Solutions Daily Moisture Shampoo to anyone looking to revitalize and nurish their dry, wild mane this winter! The shampoo did what it said, and I for one am now ready and willing to try other Dove Hair Care products right now! Let's get this hair to flair! -

I had the pleasure of testing Maybelline New York Dream Blender for free as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club. This Blender was incredibly ergonomic with its wodden handle and tear-shaped blending sponge, which made application of Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation very smooth and flawless. Directions are stated quite conveniently on the box, and the actual makeup application process became very user friendly and so much simpler, now that the tear-shaped sponge can reach those smaller and dainty parts that are usually hard to reach with blenders. I do hope Maybelline comes out with larger blenders for larger coverage, as this smaller sponge was quite time consuming to use...I will be the first in line for those Blenders! Overall, a great little product with big potential! I can't wait to see what Maybelline comes up with next! -

I had the pleasure of testing Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation for free as part of ChickAdvisor's Product Review Club. As I am no stranger to Maybelline beauty products, I was really looking forward to see what this beautiful foundation had in store for me! As the advertising boasted benefits such as velvet soft texture, a matte finish, and lasting hydration, I had amazingly high hopes that THIS could finally be my first reliable and durable foundation for these cold, bitterly dry and harsh Canadian winters....and I was not disappointed! Not only did I see and feel the benefits Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation claimed, but I also loved the fact that my face never felt dry, sticky, or heavy while the product was on. In comparison to my current foundation by another brand...well... There isn't a comparison in this department. The velvet texture of Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation wins hands down. The coverage lasted for the duration of my day, and well into the evening, which surprised me as I am often exposed to the chilly elements on a daily basis. I did experience a 'flakey' or 'cakey' result on my dry skin( as my 'other' foundation sometimes does as well) only because I had to get used to blending it in properly with a good moisturizer. With time,the hydrating ingredients plus the Maybelline New York Dream Blender applicator allowed me to perfect application for a medium, matte coverage (but that depends on the desired amount one puts on their face). As an added bonus, the shade matched me almost perfectly and I did not experience any 'breakouts' throughout my reviewing experience, which for a pale, dry, sometimes sensitive skined gal like me is ah-mazing and SO user friendly!! Speaking of user friendly, I found the Maybelline Dream Velvet Foundation bottle a little on the smaller side but very convenient and easy to use. The gorgeous lettering, cheery colours, and bold text made it also a delight to read and be informed about what ingredients are actually in this foundation...something not all foundation bottles have.
Maybelline New York Dream Velvet Foundation is a gem. It gave me absolute confidence that when I applied it, I could trust that the lasting hydration, matte finish, and velvet soft liquid would stay in place for beautiful coverage in harsh, bitter, stressful Canadian winter conditions, all day long. I will most certainly be purchasing this foundation again, as I will my other tried and true Maybelline products, and I have already recommended it to coworkers, family, and friends. I mean what can I say, when someone comments you on your makeup and beautiful, flawless coverage, how can you NOT endorse such a revolutionary and DREAMY foundation?

I am a huge sucker for perfectly seasoned, spicy, crunchy coated fries that have a slightly moist, fluffy interior and that is exactly what these Spicy Lattice Cut Fries provide! Don't be fooled by the word 'spicy' though, as with a dipping component such as mayo or ketchup, the Lattice Fry is seasoned just enough to keep your tastebuds coming back for more, without being assulting to your tongue! Batiste Dry Shampoo Original Clean and Classic has been a staple in my beauty routine for years! Since my mom introduced me to the brand many years ago, it has been a lifesaver on more then one occasion when I didn't have time to wash my locks! It's so easy to use, so I always keep a Batiste can on my counter, and a travel size one in my purse, just incase an unexpected social meeting calls me before I get a chance to wash my slightly not-so-va-va-voom hair. I love that the scent isn't overwhelming, nor is there a telltale white residue left on my blonde hair that lets people know I've been using Batiste! It absorbs the oil from my not-so-clean hair, and leaves it fresh, manageable, and volumized to the max! To be honest, it gives me so much more volume then any wet shampoo I've ever tried, and that's absolutely amazing in my books! Overall, Batiste Dry Shampoo Original Clean and Classic refreshes my slightly oily hair fantastically, without a doubt! It's a lifesaver for the gal on the go, and will remain a reliable part of my beauty routine for as long as I have hair:) Spread the word! It works! -
