Anyone who knows me, knows that I tend to be more positive than negative so I will start with what is not negative about this property. The pillows and the mattress were comfortable. The bathroom was cleanish. The TV picks up many channels. They supply washcloths. They have standard coffee makers, not those one-cup monstrosities. The staff is unfailingly friendly; which is good because you are going to meet a lot of them at check in. Once you have talked to four different staff members you will finally be directed to your room.
Now what is wrong: You will not be able to find your room. After searching for nearly 45 minutes, we finally figured out the numbering on the doors (which you cannot see at night from the road). We would have gone back to talk to one of the staff but we were in the “slave quarters of the gulag” as my husband called it. Too far away from the lobby to drive all the way back. We finally got into our room and found the cleaning people were vacuum challenged; that is to say, they do not know how to use one. The carpet was covered with what looked like the remains of a shredded bath towel and some type of hard crusty brown foodstuff. The bath towels would be easy to shred because you can practically see through them they are so thin. No need to worry about how thin the privacy curtain is, because there isn’t one. Your vertical blinds are either open or closed. If you want privacy you will have to keep them closed and have the overhead light on. We were privy to a late night conversation from the room above us as the walls and apparently the ceiling are very, very thin. DON’T use the toaster! A lightly toasted bagel will set off the fire alarm. The back sliding door refused to lock. We had a "flood" in the bathtub". The DVD player was not hooked up and when maintenance finally came at 9:30 pm he had to take apart the whole tv unit only to find that the part he needed to connect the dvd was stolen. The worst, the 90 minute pressure presentation that lasted 3 hours and in the end we were treated like second class citizens because we did not buy a timeshare with them. When it came time to check out (not a minute too soon) you will find no instructions on how to do so in your room. You will find a sheet informing you that you have to empty the garbage, haul it to a dumpster, and wash the dishes. When you drive back to reception to check out, a very nice staff member will charge you a “resort fee” that no one mentioned when you made the reservation or when you checked in. The on site restaurant was filthy and the waitstaff let us sit at a dirty table until we waved someone down to clean it. We will not be back. EVER.
Disappointed in fact that even though we are owners elsewhere and members of RCI, we were considered "non-owners" and charged fees for resort activities that were free to "owners"...(example: $30 cash for activities card for children to do anything). The Game Room was an expensive venture as well...(only 50 pts. for each dollar put on a "card", and average game was 90 pts.) There were also "non-owner" charges for computer time in Business Center and Wi-Fi. Furnishings were fair, but kitchens and bathrooms were outdated and worn.
We will not be back. EVER.

OMG Blueberry heaven. With the Free coupon I purchased this cereal at our local Sobeys. Since my son is a blueberry fiend I thought to get this one.
Tonight, he said that he wanted a little snack and I gave him the bowl of cereal - WOW!!! he finished the cereal AND the milk (usually the milk remains) and he asked for 2nds. My son is not a big eater and is very finicky BUT when he eats something he really likes he asks for more. Heck, he just asked me for another bowl
"Thank you so much mommy for buying the cereal. It is soooo yummy"
Now I know the new cereal to buy is Special K (too bad it is so expensive $5.89 but hopefully with the coupons and if it goes on sale I can buy more. Trust me the milk smile on my son's face is worth the price.
