Breyers Double Churn Banana Cream Pie Frozen Dessert
I don't really like bananas (or even most banana-flavoured things), but I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this ice cream. I kind of thought that it would end up being more 'for guests', but I've eaten almost all of it... +
I don't really like bananas (or even most banana-flavoured things), but I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised by this ice cream. I kind of thought that it would end up being more 'for guests', but I've eaten almost all of it myself in the end. What I like best is that the banana flavour is 'authentic', and does not have that 'manufactured banana' flavour (you know what I'm talking about!). Having said that, however, it's not overpowering, which I think is part of the reason that I - as a non-banana-lover in general - am really enjoying this ice cream. The nice light/mild banana flavour is quite refreshing for summer. And the good flavour is paired with a really nice texture (true to other Breyers Double Churned ice creams) that's wonderful on the tongue - absolutely no ice crystals or 'graininess' to this one. I would recommend it (and have already done so) for sure - even to someone who doesn't think she likes bananas! -

OK, I'm being a bit of a 'keener' in reviewing this product, because I just tried it for the first time last night, but given my experience with this ice cream after dinner last night, I just HAD to get on here first thing this morning to tell you all about it! I received my Breyers coupons in the mail last night and I had to get to the grocery store to pick up a few tings for dinner anyway, so I decided to grab a tub of Breyers Dark Chocolate Velvet ice cream while I was there. I do love chocolate ice cream (and ice cream in general), so I was looking forward to trying it after dinner, but I was actually 'excited' about it until I took my first bite... and I was suddenly in heaven! This ice cream is the most rich, chocolaty chocolate ice cream I have ever had in my life! I love dark chocolate, and this combined the smooth creamy delicious taste of dark chocolate with my other favourite dessert (ice cream). I can see myself going through this tub of ice cream in less than a week (by MYSELF, because I don't want to share it!), and I'll definitely be going out to get another one shortly thereafter. Of course, this experience makes me want to try ALL the Breyers Double Churned ice creams, but I'll have to keep a tub of the dark chocolate velvet on-hand too... at all times! My recommendation? TRY IT TODAY! -

Stoney's Bread Company in Oakville, Ontario (325 Kerr Street) is a bit of a 'hidden' treasure - it's not that it's unknown by any means (when I first moved to Oakville it was one of the most highly-recommended restaurants to me by long-time Oakville-dwellers), but it might be unlikely to catch the eye of a newcomer or visitor to Oakville, unless specifically recommended. Well, I'm here to recommend it. Not only do they make all of their own breads and desserts (which are always fresh and delectible), they provide home-made, freshly-baked pizzas, pastas, and sandwiches (and yes, even some of the sandwiches ARE fresh-'baked'... they make fresh meats like chicken breast and grill their own vegetables on-site in the kitchen). The pizzas, sandwiches, soups, and salads are all works of art (to look at as well as eat) - everything is 'made to order', and they don't mind custom-making anything you could possibly ask for (i.e., substitution requests are welcomed). Their Sunday brunch menu is also to die for (although it's usually very busy on Sundays, so be ready for a bit of a wait). They are fully liscenced and have a number of beers and wines on the menu as well. If you're visiting Oakville, this place is a must-go! -

I have to admit it - I'm a dessert LOVER! I can't eat lunch or dinner (or even breakfast, sometimes) without having something sweet afterward. Since I tend to crave/eat so many sweets, I have been on a continuous quest to find the most 'healthy' (but still delicious) desserts that I can. Well, let me tell you... I have found them!!!!! Vitalicious chocolate Vitamuffins and Vitatops are IT!! These delectible treats have only 100 calories each (plus lots of fibre, protein, and other healthy 'stuff'), and are DELICIOUS to boot!! I'm not kidding! I'm a serious choc-o-holic, and also a bit of a chocolate snob - I do not like the taste of fake low-quality chocolate at all (I'd rather have none than substandard chocolate), and - even to my 'snobby' tastes - chocolate Vitamuffins/tops do not disappoint!! These little gems are some of the most authentically chocolatey treats I have ever had - one little Vitamuffin offers about a 10-bite dessert (I heat them in the microwave and eat them with a fork because they are so 'dessert-like') - and honestly tastes like a sinfully rich chocolate cake. Pair it with a freshly brewed tea or cup of coffee, and it's like I've stepped into a top-notch dessert cafe or bakery for dessert after dinner. I"m not kidding ladies - for those of you looking for a health, guilt-free dessert (REAL dessert here), you have GOT to try these - you will NOT be sorry! -

OK, at first I thought that the price was a little high for shampoo and conditioner, but a trusted friend told me to try this stuff after I'd complained to her one too many times that my hair was extremely dull and flat lately - according to my friend, this shampoo and conditioner would take off all the 'stuff' (i.e., build-up) that my previously-used shampoo and conditioner were leaving behind, and I would no longer worry about the slightly higher price of Orgnx. Because she is such a trusted friend, I decided to give the LaCoupe products a chance, and I'm NOT SORRY that I did! I will never go back to anything else! After several months of finding my hair to be really dull and lifeless, it seemed suddenly 'cured' (i.e., revitalized) by this shampoo and conditioner. I only need a little bit of each (i.e., a 'quarter-sized' dollop of each) for perfect cleaning and conditioning, so the price isn't that bad after all - it ends up lasting a lot longer than my other stuff, which I needed much more of to get my hair clean and conditioned. And my hair has never looked better - I have received a number of compliments on it from co-workers lately, and I know exactly why (and so do they - I have been singing Orgnx's praises to them, that's for sure). Have I said enough? If not, here's one more thing: go try this shampoo and conditioner - you won't be sorry!!! -

This lip gloss is really nice - it is clear, so doesn't add a ton to your overall look, but does add a bit of 'glam' because it has tiny sparkles all the way through it, which give a very nice shine to your lips without over-doing it... +
