The Huda Beauty Smokey Obsessions Palette is a must-try palette for neutral eyeshadow lovers. This highly curated 9-pan palette is comprised of 4 matte and 5 metallic shimmer shadows that range from opaque black to a light shimmering gold.
Despite the curated color scheme, the palette is versatile and can create super deep, smokey evening looks and light, everyday looks for the daytime. The matte shadows are very soft and pigmented, but blend easily. They do produce a fair amount of kickback and the black shadow did crumble, but the colors remain impactful on the eye and do not fade or crease throughout the day (when worn over a primer). The metallics glide onto the eye with a burst of pigmentation regardless of how they are applied.
The pocket-sized palette is very small, so it is easy to store and easy to travel with. However, I would caution that users will need to package this well as the matte black is prone to breaking.
All in all, great palette for the price tag. Definitely want to pick up more from the Obsessions line.

The ColourPop Sweet Talk Palette is a perfect palette for Spring & Summer due to the beautiful mix of neutrals and corals in this palette. This 12-pan palette includes four different shadow textures: matte. shimmer/metallic, super shock shadow (creme-to-powder shimmer), and pressed glitter.
The mattes in this palette blend effortlessly and can be built up on the eye. Meanwhile, the shimmers are intensely pigmented and glide onto the eye whether applied with a finger or brush. The Super Shock Shadow in the palette is much more oily than the brand's normal single Super Shock singles and functions more like a topper rather than a standalone shadow. The Pressed Glitters do add a beautiful pop when applied on the eye, but are not as pigmented as they appear in the pan and do produce some fallout. Despite the fallout of the glitters, the easy color story and the high quality of the matte and shimmer shadows made this palette one of my favorite purchases of 2019.
The palette comes in a compact, sturdy cardboard package with a beautiful design that mixes colorful florals and hard, black and white imagery/typography. This palette does not come with a mirror, but at the $18.00 price point, I cannot complain.

The Physicians Formula MuruMuru Butter Bronzer is my favorite bronzer I've owned and the only bronzer I've used in its entirety. This buttery, coconut-y smelling bronzer provides buildable warmth to the skin without looking too orange or muddy. The formula blends like a dream on the face and lasts all day without fading or transferring... even on oily skin!
Also, I like how this bronzer is formulated without shimmer, but still leaves the skin looking radiant and healthy as opposed to a flat, matte finish.
Although the packaging is quite bulky, I appreciate the large pan size because it makes it easy to swirl a large brush around. Also, the scent can be overpowering at first, but fades with time and usage.

The Algenist Ultra Lightweight UV Defense Fluid SPF 50 is an amazing physical sun block for anyone with sensitive or oily skin, as this sunscreen is lightweight. It doesn't leave the skin feeling greasy or oily, nor does it clog pores. It sits atop the skin without adding any texture issues and works well worn on its own or worn underneath foundation/makeup.
I've repurchased this sunscreen many times before and although the price tag is high, it is well worth the investment due to how effective this product is at protecting the skin from the sun.

The Persona Cosmetics Identity Eyeshadow Palette is a gorgeous 12-pan, neutral palette containing 6 matte and 6 shimmer shadows. The matte shadows blend with ease and are very buildable; however, they do produce a decent amount of kickback. The shimmer shadows glide onto the eye, whether applied wet or dry or with a brush or finger.
The color selection has a wide range of depth and contains a nice mix of both warm and cool-toned shadows. This palette can be used to create effortless, day-time eyeshadow looks or fully glammed-up evening looks. Amazing for enhancing brown eyes.
Packaging-wise, this palette is compact, but sturdy. The material is cardboard (which can stain), but this does include a small mirror. The outer design is a beautiful Parisian cityscape.
