I've tried many micellar waters over the past year and a half or so and I've always had the issue of it either not working, leaving my skin with a greasy feeling, or having a burning sensation. I wouldn't say my skin is overly sensitive but I do have to keep away from products that are too scented. My skin is also on the dry side of normal.
I was unsure of whether or not I'd be able to find something that would get makeup and mascara off (I never use waterproof mascara but still seem to have issues getting it off!) Then I came across this micellar water while perusing Marshall's. I bought it on and whim and it's one of the best decisions I've made when it comes to makeup removers! Not only does it remove my mascara and other makeup with ease but it doesn't leave a gross film on my skin afterward. I also don't feel like my skin is burning when I use it. It was also very affordable, I bought it for $7.99!
I would definitely recommend this to anyone who's looking for a nice, easy to use micellar water that doesn't dry or irritate your skin. I only hope that when I need more (I have another bottle tucked away), that I'll be able to find it again.

Like a lot of people, I thoroughly enjoy the Autumn weather for the ability to snuggle up in cozy sweater. When I came across this sweater in my local H&M;, I couldn't resist. It was so soft and was such a gorgeous slate-blue color. I try to buy things off the sales rack when I can, but I simply couldn't resist this one. I paid $29.99 for this sweater and it was totally worth it.
My friends and family keep telling me to change out of it but I can't. I'm in love!

While not super dry, my skin definitely falls on the dry side of the spectrum and when I did my skin care haul last year, one of the items I decided to try out was this Elf mask. I thought since it was a gel it would be great for my skin but boy, was I wrong!
When I first bought this mask I tried it for a few days. I decided to integrate the new skin care items slowly that way, if anything went wrong, I'd have a better chance at pinpointing what the problem was. After starting to use this mask, I noticed my skin starting to break out really, really badly. I hadn't had any issues before that but it was bad. I stopped using it and after a week or so, things went back to normal.
The consistency of this mask is very, very thick and it was almost like I could feel it clogging my pores. I would definitely not recommend it to anyone, unless you know that gel and/or thicker masks don't bother your skin.

In the spring of 2017 I bought a few C Booth items from my local Wal-Mart to try out. They were on clearance so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to give them a go. I think it's safe to say that the Walnut Shell scrub is my favorite thing so far.
The exfoliation on the skin is so gentle you almost don't notice it at first, but afterward my skin is so soft. I use it once a week, typically on Monday nights. I usually focus mainly on my legs as I find other scrubs to be too harsh on my arms and other body parts, but this stuff is so nice that it doesn't bother me at all. The smell is so nice too. I typically don't like things that are too scented but I find this scrub to have a very pleasant scent.
I do believe that I will buy a new bottle of this product again, if I can find it when the time comes.

At least once a year, my family and I get together and head to the Redwood Grill for dinner. It's always delicious, I can honestly say that I've never had a bad meal at this restaurant.
My favorite thing to order is the Crispy Cajun Chicken Sandwich. I remember the first time I ordered it, my mind was blown. It was so large and I ended up having to cut it into pieces in order to eat it. It had the perfect amount of spice and the buttermilk fried chicken was juicy and perfect. I'm not usually a fan of coleslaw but the slaw with this meal just fit so well. I often find myself craving this burger. I almost always get the mashed potatoes on the side rather than the fries. They put some something in the potatoes that makes them delicious.
The service is always excellent as well, I can't complain. The servers are always kind and friendly, just the right amount of chatty. It's exactly the type of service one would hope to receive from an establishment like the Redwood Grill.
If you're in Halifax and looking for something delicious and different, I would definitely recommend this place!

I received this nail polish in my Ipsy bag a while back and its so gorgeous! For the longest time, years really, I preferred bright colors for my nails. As I've gotten older I've found myself drawn to more neutral-esque colors. I find Smoking Mauve to be the perfect blend of grey and lavender. What I like most is that it's neutral but it still has a lovely hint of purple, and so it doesn't clash with most clothing.
I typically put on two coats and it's perfectly opaque. It doesn't seem to take any more time than any other polish to dry. I find it to be quite chip resistant. I looked up the price of the bottle online and on the website it says it costs $9 a bottle. To me, that's quite pricey. While I'd like to say that I'd replace it when it runs out, it will all depend on whether I can find a dupe for it in a less expensive brand.

When I happened across this product at my local Shoppers Drug Mart, I had heard of the Pixi brand but I had never bought any of their skin care before. I had also never used a toner in my daily routine but I had heard it was a good addition so on a whim I bought the smaller bottle to test out. I don't remember how much it cost but I do know that it was one of the more expensive items I've bought in terms of skin care. I tend to try to keep to the less expensive brands simply because that's what I can afford.
I fell completely in love with this toner. It's beyond amazing! I noticed an almost immediate difference once I began using it on the regular. It helped in keeping any random bouts of acne at bay and made my skin bright and tight. The feeling on my skin isn't greasy nor does it feel dry afterward. When I first started using it I noticed that my skin did tingle initially but once I got used to using it, that tingling went away.
I know it's going to be tough to convince myself of the price when I replace it but I do think it will be worth it. I don't need a whole lot of product when I use it, I simply use a cotton pad and mildly soak it with the Glow Tonic before running it over my face. It's one of the best additions to my skin care routine and I plan to continue using it unless I find something better!

I bought this product in December of 2016 and added it to my daily skincare routine. It's been almost a year but I can't really tell if it's doing anything. It always make my eye area feel nice but I honestly cannot notice too much of a difference. I continue to use it because it feels nice and the area does seem more hydrated afterward but I don't find it illuminates much at all. It doesn't make the area feel greasy which is a nice change. It's also not too thick. I've used eye creams in the past that were so thick it was hard to really place them without tugging.
I will say it's a good value for the money. You don't need a lot at all. I've had it for almost a year and it's only about 3/4's of the way gone. Would I buy it again? Maybe. I'm honestly not sure. I may give something else a go and see if I come back to it. If I did purchase this cream again I would use it for the hydrating effect, not the illuminating one as it really doesn't seem to brighten or illuminate anything.

I bought this exfoliater last December and tested it out, immediately adding it to my skincare routine. The package and website state that this can be used daily but I choose to use it every Tuesday, Thursday, and sometimes Saturday simply because I don't like exfoliating every day.
Until the point that I added this exfoliater I only had one that I used regularly and it was much rougher. The feel of my skin after using the Elf exfoliater is amazing! It feels so smooth and because it's so gentle, it doesn't irritate my skin the way some others do. You don't need much and so it goes quite a long way when when used often.
For the price its 100% worth it. I definitely plan on buying more of this, maybe even a couple as a backup! It's a must have in my skin care routine.

I bought this product when I saw it on the shelf at my local Walmart. I was running low on conditioner and had used others by Herbal Essences before, and liked them, so I assumed I'd enjoy this one too.
I don't have a lot of hair and what I do have is quite short at the moment, but somehow it still manages to get very tangled. It's always been that way and a good conditioner is a must for me but I found that this one didn't do anything for my hair.
When I get out of the shower it's still tangled. I have to use twice, sometimes three times the amount I normally would to even get some semblance of de-tangling effect. I honestly don't think it's worth it for what it is, especially when I can get a different Herbal Essences conditioner that actually works better for my hair.
I would definitely pass on this one.
