I received the Vida by Paderno 4-piece knife set for free and have been using it for two weeks. There are three knives: A chef's knife, a bread knife, and a pairing knife. The knives don’t feel heavy when holding and cutting, and the blades are sharp and durable. The stainless steel continues to the handle. I think that the pairing knife could use a slightly longer blade. When it comes to the care and longevity of the knives I highly recommend following the cleaning and care instructions to get longevity out of the knives and maintain the blade. The sharpening tool is okay, I prefer to use a sharpening stone as I get a very sharp blade and it upholds the integrity of the blade over time. For someone new to knife sets I believe this is a great starter set, you can use these knives throughout your kitchen.    -
