I received the Godiva Assorted Truffles for Christmas this past year from my husband who knows I enjoy good chocolate. My favourite was the dark chocolate. It wasn't too bitter like I find many dark chocolate can be but a perfect chocolate flavour and creamy sweetness - that wasn't too sweet. The milk chocolate was also mouth-wateringly delicious. Sweeter than the dark, of course, but definitely a great quality of chocolate and not the sickening sweet, waxy texture that a lot of the lower grade chocolate can be. I also enjoyed the white chocolate truffle. While I don't necessarily consider white chocolate to be true chocolate, the Godiva white chocolate truffle had a creamy candy like flavour that I thoroughly enjoyed. All 3 truffle flavours melted in my mouth and left me wanting another. A lovely little treat that I totally deserve after a long day! ;) -

I generally get 1 - 2 cold sores a year. They are always on the same spot on my lip and thankfully don't get super huge but are big enough to be bothersome. Usually I just let it run it's course and maybe apply a topical ointment when it is in it's gross, crusty phase to try and soften it and stop it from cracking and bleeding.
Well, after being highly recommended by a friend, this time around I decided to try the Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch and see if it would help. I bought a pack for $16.99 and applied my 1st one the day after I started to feel the "tingle" in hopes that it would stop the cold sore altogether but, unfortunately, it still came. I found that they were a little bit tricky to apply at first because they stick so well - which I suppose it a good thing - so you have to make sure you get it in the right spot the 1st time or you could waste some. I was as careful as I could be, though I did waste 1 from the package, but once you got the hang of the application it was fairly easy.
The package says to reapply after 8 hours but I found that they would often stay on longer than that, depending on what food I ate or drank so I would apply after eating supper and most of the time it stayed on all night and often into the next day which was nice. Some reviews mentioned that they were painful to take off so I just moistened it with tap water and it came off very easily.
I really liked how I didn't have to be as careful about spreading cold sore germs to my husband or kids as the area was completely covered and how it stayed moist under the Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch so it never reached the crusty, cracking, bleeding stage. It didn't shorten the life-span of my cold sore but it made me feel much less self-conscious in public and it never hurt or bled once so in my books, it's a winner.
I will definitely buy Polysporin Cold Sore Healing Patch again for my next cold sore!
