I'm an avid user of dry shampoos and have a couple of go to brands that I like that include one drug store brand and one salon brand. I was really excited to try the Dove Refresh and Care cause a girl can never have too many options. I used it on a day I would have normally used a dry shampoo and since I'm well-versed in my weekly wash and dry shampoo routine I can say for a certainty that it was the brand that made the difference this week, and not for the better. I sprayed my roots and brushed it out like I would with any other brand of dry shampoo but this Dove product still left behind loads of residue. This residue made it look like I had dandruff for a good 24 hours. When I went to wash my hair, it took 3 shampoos to rid my hair of the residue. Not cool. The other MAJOR downside was it made my hair feel like straw!! This one was not an easy thing to fix either so I went a full 24 hours with a head full of straw. #Gotitfree and good thing to cause it was such a terrible product that I will never use it again nor even hand it off to a friend. Take my advice, try a different brand for Dry Shampoo. (I use Dove Advanced for my shampoo and conditioner so they're not a bad brand, but this product is a giant #fail.) -

First things first: this product smells AMAZING! The whole line smells great but the hydrating lotion specifically makes me excited to wash my face. I don't know how it manages, but it seems to wake me up in the morning AND relax me at night, all with that same scent! My skin also feels SO soft. As I mentioned in a previous review, my previous product claims to be 'skin-softening' so I was flabbergasted when after just the first use, my skin felt so soft and smooth. The little bumps in my t-zone from excess oil have dramatically reduced. Now that said, I'm still getting little blemishes. The product has not made a huge impact in that regard and I would not recommend it to someone with a serious acne concern. However, for those of us only suffering from minor imperfections, you may see a clear improvement to the overall brightness of the skin. My previous skincare routine cost me $500/year and did not get my skin this soft! I'm converted. Quick tip: after applying this hydrating lotion to your face, try rubbing the residue onto the back of your hands. Not too much mind you, but I'm finding that it softens my hands nicely. Now if only I could get it in a travel size that would pass airport security scrutiny... -

Before this product I was using a spray toner. I forgot how much I missed the clean feeling of that circular cotton pad on my skin and the refreshing coolness. This product makes me think of cucumbers, calming and cool. Here's my newest favourite use: after using the cotton pad on face, swipe it on your decolletage. Not only does it feel great, but I sometimes get blemishes there from being hot and sweaty throughout the day. It works! Great product for a great price! Only wish it came in 'airport security' friendly sizes. -

This cleanser has a great smell and foams nicely. My face immediately felt softer, which was a huge surprise considering the product I was using previously was spouted as a 'skin-softening' cleanser. So imagine my surprise when I switched to a much cheaper product (the Vichy is 1/3 of the price of usual cleanser) and I had such better results! The uneven skin I usually have on my chin due to oils and buildups (acne causing oil!) was dramatically reduced. If I continue to see amazing results like this throughout the use of the remainder of the bottle, I will be a convert! Only downside I can see is that I could not find a travel size version of the product. I travel often but do not have the patience to rebottle my products to become airport security friendly. -

I use this cream in the winter only. I prefer department store products and salon products and don't normally use drug store products, however I will make a special trip to the drug store for this cream every January. Living in Canada, different products are required for different seasons and this one one is a no-brainer for dry winters. I was first given Eucerin a few years ago as a product tester, and I still us it every winter when my skin starts to need a little extra! The scent free aspect is a MUST for me as I change my perfume as often as I do clothes, and I like that I don't have to worry about mixing scents. Try smoothing on legs right after shaving for moisture rich smoothness you will not soon forget! -

This Secret Xtend Invisible Solid with 48 hour technology fails in every aspect of its name. Let's start with 'solid': it's more like a powder. Does not go on smooth but powdery. Second: it's not invisible. Leaves white marks on all clothing types. Third (and the biggest disappointment): does NOT last! I typically use clinical antiperspirants that are meant to last 24 hours. This product doesn't even come CLOSE to that level of effectiveness. Let me tell you, I was in an odd situation where I had to spend 24 hours in a hospital, sleeping on a couch. This has happened to me before (so not such an odd situation in my case) where I was wearing my usual 24 hour clinical deodorant which worked fine. I bought this 48 Secret Xtend because I was afraid of being in this situation again and wanted something that worked AMAZINGLY well and not just fine. Guess what? It FAILED! Did NOT last! I was not happy when I smelled of B.O. after this ordeal, especially knowing that my usual product would've done the job. This product gets a big 'F' for false advertising. Do yourself a favour and stay away. -

This is definitely the most expensive hairspray you will find in your drugstore but it is worth it! I'm an avid user of salon-only brands but this hairspray is BETTER! It holds in place, leaves a nice shine, and my # 1 favourite part? It does not leave those little flakes in your hair that look like dandruff once you brush out your hair (jeez, I hate that!). Comes in a travel size if you'd like to try it before making the big investment of a full size bottle. Go try it now, you won't regret it! -

This is also the ONLY product that allows me to moisturize my own back. I've recently discovered in-shower moisturizing products but when I forget to use mine in the shower, or I feel like I need a little extra this is my go-to regiment. A quick spray and rub and I'm ready to get dressed and go! -

This cream is absolutely genius and I'd like to kiss whoever made it! It is a body milk (so a thin light body lotion) that you apply to wet skin while still in the shower. It is made to absorb quickly and then you rinse it off right away. This means that I can step out of the shower and towel off and get dressed immediately! No waiting for cream to absorb! As an avid user of firming body creams, I find I'll still use a firming body cream (like the Nivea Firming Body Milk) once in a while when I have nowhere to rush to. The only downside is I didn't quite like the Almond smell, however my sister smelled it and she liked it. I loved the product so much that regardless that I wasn't too keen on the smell, I just finished the bottle. I can't wait to go get one of the other varieties. There are different sorts depending on skin type. So I will try a variety for just dry skin rather than very dry skin. Best part? It was only 6.77$ at Walmart (Canada)! -

I love the texture of this product. The creaminess yet thinness of the milk allows for full coverage of my skin without the feeling thick and heavy. I absorbs quickly allowing for me to dress quickly after use whic is very important for me. This is the only product I'll use if I'm out of my Nivea In-Shower Body Milk, which is also a must try! -
