I was happy to try (#GotItFree) the Orange Probiotics for Infants as part of the @ChickAdvisor/@Butterly Review Club. My baby was born by C-section, so it is important to me that he is given probiotics daily to restore the microbiome he didn’t get from birth. I love, love that the product is soy and dairy free as my baby is allergic to both soy and dairy. It has strangely been difficult to find probiotics without any soy or dairy for infants. My son doesn’t seem to mind the taste of the product which makes it easy to give him daily. I’m also very happy that it contains the daily allowance of vitamin D3 babies require. AND it seems to help alleviate my baby’s constipation problem. Win, win, win!
However, other brands of infant probiotics do not require refrigeration and the Orange one does. Also, the dropper needs a certain getting used to as the first drops do not glide easily (you kind of have to wait a little and jiggle the bottle).

I received the Schmidt's Aluminum Free Sandalwood + Citrus Natural Deodorant as I am part of the Chick Advisor Review Club (#gotitforfree #gift). I gave it to my husband to try as I taught the scent would suit him nicely. I was right. My husband has been using natural deodorants since March 2020, and he hasn't find a scent that totally pleases him yet. He has been using the Schmidt's one for about 5 days now and he really likes it. It neutralizes odours nicely, even during stressful periods. Christmas is always the busiest time of the year for him (at his job), and this deodorant was able to make it through. He applied it once in the morning and right before bed. The product stood the extreme stress test! The scent was warm, nice and manly on him as well. I would buy it again for him. -

I was able to try the Schmidt's Coconut + Pineapple baking soda-free for free as I am part of the Chick Advisor Review Club (#gotitforfree #gift). I've been using natural deodorants for more than 4 years now, and I'm always excited to try a new one. In the tube, the product's smell was nice and clean, but it did NOT mix well with my natural body odour. It smelled horrible about 10 minutes after the application. I used this deodorant for 4 days hoping I'd get used to the scent, but it didn't happen. However, it somewhat diminished my sweat a little bite which is uncommon with deodorant, so that was nice. The texture was really agreeable as well: creamy, moisturizing and easy application. No irritation since it does not contain baking soda. I would try the product again if Schmidt's would release scents like warm vanilla or chocolate (without citrus or fruit). -

I received the Teapigs Naturally Flavoured Herbal Tea Rooibos Crème Caramel for #free as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. I thought the product would contain artificial caramel flavour, so I was surprised when I saw on the ingredients list actual caramel. The tea was a little bit too sweet for me (it contains a lot of different types of sweeteners), but my husband loved it and enjoyed it as a sweet after-dinner treat. As rooibos doesn’t contain caffeine, he could have it in the evening without risking disturbing his sleep. I wouldn’t buy this for myself, as it contains too much sugar for my taste, but I would buy it to put in Christmas stocking for my mom and my husband next December. -

I received the My Clarins RE-BOOST cream for #free as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. I tried it a couple of times on my hands but don’t think this product suits me well. The smell is really strong (artificial fragrance) and lingers even after washing my hands thoroughly. Since it was part of an “eco-box,” I was surprised the ingredient list contains only artificial ingredients (no very eco-friendly ones). I don’t feel like it moisturized my hands enough. It was kind of a fail for me. -

I received the Green Beaver NaturaDri Antiperspirant for #free as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. I’ve been using natural deodorants for almost two years now so I was happy to try a new one. I tried it first on myself on a regular day (no significant physical activity, just sitting at my desk and a slow walk around the block in the afternoon). Even though the antiperspirant’s smell lasted from morning until night, it didn’t mask the nasty odour from my sweat and it didn’t pair well with my natural body odour. As the fragrance was neither powdery nor sweet (not too “girly”), my husband decided to give it a try, and it worked wonder for him. He reported sweating a little bit less, and the product’s smell matches perfectly his natural BO. Since the retail price is reasonable and the Green Beaver Antiperspirant seems widely available in drugstores, I’ll definitely buy it in the future for my husband. -

I received the Garnier Fructis Hair Aloe Treat Shampoo for #free as part of the Chick Advisor Product Review Club. Since it seems to contain some kind of SLS, which can be very drying for the hair as it strips it of its natural oils, I used it on a day I needed to “clarify” my hair. My hair had a lot of products in it that day and it did a really good job of washing them completely off, without drying my hair too much. I was pleasantly surprised. I don’t know if I’d buy it many times, but I’ll consider adding it to my rotation for sure. I’m curious to try the other shampoos and conditioners from this line (e.g., papaya treat) as well. -

I used it to replace the milk and the sweetener in my usually pancake recipe and it worked beautifully. It was nice and smooth, and just sweet enough. Since it has 30 g of protein, I didn't need my midmorning snack, aha! -

I was giving the opportunity to try the Premier Protein Chocolate Shake as part of the Chick Advisor Review Club #gotitfree. I added it to my morning shake after an HIIT session (blueberries, greens, and Premier Protein). The taste masked the greens’ taste, which I liked. However, it still was a little bite too sweet for my taste (even though it only has 1 g of sugar). Nonetheless, it was fulfilling enough that it sustained me until my next meal. I really appreciated the fact that this product is gluten free (yeah!) and has inulin (which is a prebiotic we often lack). I might buy it again if I'm in a hurry for a quick fix after a workout. -

I was giving the Dove 0% Aluminium Deodorant Cucumber & Green Tea to try for free as part of the Chick Advisor Club (#gotitfree), and I was very excited to try a mainstreaming/drugstore no aluminium deodorant (yeah!) as I usually buy my "natural" deodorants in specialized stores.
The ingredient list is ok: I think it has too much emollients, perfume, and additives in it, but I really appreciated the sea butter which is really moisturizing for the skin. Should you be used to natural deodorants, you will not enjoy the smell as it is very strong when first applied and very far to any natural scent you would have ever encounter. It didn't match well with my natural BO, unfortunately. However, newbies to no-aluminium deos will love it (Note: Should you be in the process of switching to no-aluminium deodorants, give your body a couple of weeks to adjust before deciding if the deodorant is right for you or not. The body takes time to adjust to more naturals products so you'll be sweating more and smelling more for a couple of days/weeks).
As for effectiveness, Dove states that it will last 24 hours. It does not. It lasted about 12 hours and I stayed indoors with the AC on. I don't expect any "natural" deodorant to last that long anyway, so more than 10 hours is pretty good.
Will continue using and will probably buy whenever it is on sale. It is a no-fuss deodorant, and I really enjoyed trying it. It is really nice to have now that option in drugstores. Thank you Dove!
