I've been using this on my hair the past few weeks and I've had more compliments than ever. I put it on right when I get out of the shower and my hair is still really wet. You don't need much and I just work it through with my fingers. Sometimes I do the curly hair no-no and brush it through as well. I find it tames my curls and I have way less frizz. It doesn't leave your hair greasy at all if you don't go overboard. -

This is one of those hidden gems. Literally and figuratively. It's nestled away from the main road and traffic in a little residential area. If you're not looking for it you probably don't know it's there. But you should! We've been there four times now and every time has been wonderful. It's a small family run restaurant with delicious food. The menu is awesome and has something for everyone. It's such an eclectic mix of dishes from all over the world and every one is done perfectly. We live about an hour away from it but visit whenever we can. Definitely one of the West Island's hidden treasures. -

Love it. I'm constantly putting on lotion in the winter and I've finally found a favorite. I love that it's moisturizing but doesn't leave you greasy. I keep a little container (I don't know what you'd call it, it's not really a tube or a bottle. It's a cute little squishy flat thing) in my purse, in the car, at work, and by the couch. I haven't been able to find a larger size yet, but I'd love to. -

I bought the Quo by Orly Gel polish kit at Shopper's Drug Mart. It came with a cute pink portable LED lamp, primer, base top coat, and 2 colors.
The big draw of gel nails is the staying power. Your nail polish can last for weeks at a time. I honestly wasn't expecting weeks from an at home kit, but I definitely expected more than 4 days. Which so far, after 6 attempts, has been my record. I've followed the directions completely, read up on tips and tricks, and still, I have at least one, usually more, nails starting to peel after a couple of days or so. Even the nails that aren't peeling off still look ragged on the edges. I noticed the last time, immediately after completing all of the steps, it almost looked like the polish shrunk after putting it under the light. Where I know I had just meticulously made sure that my nails were covered perfectly, the very edges were now not painted.
I've since bought another color, and it seems the staying power is about the same on all 3 colors. I am disappointed, but I'm not sure if it's the polish or the light that is the issue. I plan on buying a different brand of gel polish to try next time.
The consistency of the polish was nice though, which made it easy to apply. I find I need at least 2, if not 3 coats of just the color. I'm going to keep trying to see if I can get it to last longer. It's also still nice that your nails are dry and ready to go as soon as you're done and you don't have to worry about smudges.

Last summer, I was looking for a BB cream and went into Sephora to try out the Tarte one. The associate that helped me guided me over to the Nars tinted moisturizer instead. I took home a tiny sample and tried it for a few days. I never really used much foundation or any type of BB cream before so I didn't have much to compare it to but decided I'd buy it. I've used it for almost a year now and I won't be buying another. It's ok and it looks natural on, but I find it drying. If I don't exfoliate and moisturize right before using it, my skin looks dry and almost flaky. It is marketed as a moisturizer, I shouldn't have to double up on my moisturizing when I use it.
My skin is pretty normal. Maybe it would be better for someone with oily skin?
