I feel bad giving a product such a low review but I'll explain the many reasons behind why I think this is not a good product.
1. When I received the coupon, it said I could redeem it at FreshCo and Metro stores. I had to go to three different stores just to find this product (found the bars elsewhere). Each store I went to had a big empty shelf and just 1 box of either muffins or bars (never the kind I needed) and the Best Before dates were for 1-2 days later. So I am not sure if I just was searching at a bad time or if selection is always poor which affects shelf-life and freshness.
2. The muffins are individually packaged which I actually like because if I were to get a product like this it would likely be for "on-the-go" situations where I need something fast. So that's a plus for me. However, for those who are hyper eco-conscious, this product would likely not appeal as each individual muffin is packaged and then subsequently packaged inside a box.
3. I am a dietitian, so naturally one of the first things I look for is the nutrition facts table. I. Was. Appalled. For a product which boasts that it is "good and simple" and obviously caters to the more health-conscious shopper I found it ridiculous that the second ingredient is sugar, that the fibre content is a pathetic 3g per muffin. For comparison: a Multi-grain berry muffin from McDonald's has the same amount of calories as this muffin and 6g (DOUBLE) the fibre. So...yea, not even as healthy as a fast-food muffin, what does that tell you?
4. Another bummer was that I could not for the life of me find a website for this company. I wanted to look up the brand and the products before hand and nothing popped up when I searched "Good and Simple" in google...just a picture of the box from Walmart.ca. I don't know about you, but I like to peruse the websites for products that I am interested in.
5. Taste...honestly, I was hoping this could be this product's saving grace. At least if it isn't good for you, it better be a DELICIOUS item that you can treat yourself to. But alas, no. The visual appeal was weak, it kind of has that sticky, shiny top that old muffins that have been sitting in a container on your counter can get. It kind of just tasted like a mediocre muffin you would get at a budget conference you are attending for work. Again, this is maybe because I got a box that was due to expire in a couple of days so it could simply be that it WAS an old stale muffin.
Overall, NOPE.

I purchase this salsa from Costco, two of the large 1.21L bottles at a great value. I don't usually purchase products like that as it's only my fiance and I and I am always afraid it will spoil before we use it all but it has a long shelf life. This salsa is excellent as its not too hot but it still has a bit of a kick and it's fairly chunky. I love using it for egg wraps, quesadillas, as a "dressing" for taco salad...I even like it on perogies.Definitely recommend! -

Samples of this product were being handed out at my local Costco so I grabbed one...why not, right? As a Registered Dietitian, one of the first things I look at when trying a new/processed food is the ingredients list. This product has a grand total of 13 all natural, totally pronounceable ingredients which I loved. It's basically scratch made- and that's why the shelf-life is short (3-5 days once opened). With that said, if you love it as much as I do or have a few members of the family digging in...it isn't going to last nearly that long. So now moving on to taste: this hummus has the same texture and mouthfeel as any hummus you would regularly get in stores, so nothing new there. The kale and chia flavour is so mild but adds just enough of an interesting new element to change-up your regular snacking game. I was so pleasantly surprised by this hummus, and Fontaine Sante has come out with a ton of new and different flavours and each one I've tried has been delicious so far. Anyways, I could keep writing but nothing I'm going to say will talk-up this product enough. It was great, I would eat it again and again. You should eat it too. -

First of all I'd like to mention that I shared my protein bars with my fiance and he is a peanut butter and chocolate lover but actually enjoyed the lemon poppy seed flavour better...so a testament to the taste of this product. Positives about this bar 1) Very filling, 2) Taste was great and texture was creamy, 3) less sodium and saturated fat than the reduced-sugar chocolate peanut butter bar, 4) easy to grab and go. I definitely do not reach for processed foods often, I would rather re-fuel after a workout with whole foods. With that said, I don't ALWAYS have time to eat a scratch-made meal or snack after a workout let alone sit down and devote time to eating it. In those instances, I would definitely reach for some kind of energy/protein dense bar and based on taste and feeling satiated after consuming this product, I would definitely consider it again as an occasional thing. -

I should disclose right off the bat that I am a Registered Dietitian and I do not typically turn to protein bars as a first resort when trying to fuel up. With that said, everyone has had that crazy day where they JUST fit in a workout but do not have 1 extra second to make a snack or meal, let alone have time to sit and eat it...in those moments, I have reached for a protein bar. Before trying this bar, I took a peek at the ingredient list and unfortunately it is quite lengthy, which is not uncommon of a product like this, but I just think of foods with more than a handful of ingredients as "sometimes" foods. There is also quite a bit of artificial sweetener, and the sodium content is a bit high for my liking. It does have a whopping 20g protein, and 5g fibre which is great. Moving on to taste: I am always worried that sugar-free products will have that "artificial" taste and even though I could tell this protein bar contained sweeteners, they do a good job of making the flavour taste true to the name. The bar was very creamy, and had a melt-in-your-mouth quality which I enjoyed. It was also extremely filling- I ate half the bar and felt completely satiated. so I saved the other half for later. Overall, in keeping with my general rule, I wouldn't include this in my daily routine. However, in a pinch, I can definitely see myself grabbing this product to re-fuel after a workout on a super busy day. -

Like the commercials so eloquently put it, I actually put that sh*t on everything! I love other hot sauces too, but Frank's is good on the most types of foods. It's a good hot sauce for everyone because if you like mild, you can add a few drops and it isn't overpowering and you can adjust the amount if you like things a bit hotter. -

I've given these candles a few tries but won't be purchasing them again. They are outrageously expensive for the scents (most of which are nauseating) and quality (the labels start to peel, the glass starts to get smokey, and they burn way too fast). I enjoy other products from B&BW;like the foaming soaps but I'd rather purchase candles elsewhere like Winners. -

I've been using this body wash for years (all of the scents are excellent). The smell is light, the lather is on point, and it leaves you feeling fresh and clean. My skin can get dry and other body washes have left my skin feeling tight and itchy but this body wash leaves a soft, moisturized feeling. Can be expensive depending on where you buy it, but honestly the comfort is worth the extra few bucks. -
