I was really excited to try L’Occitane’s Shimmering Almond Oil for that effortless summer glow. In the bottle, it looks absolutely beautiful — golden, radiant, and full of promise. On the skin, the shimmer is much more subtle. It catches the light nicely in the sun, but I was hoping for a bit more visible glow like what you see in the packaging.
The scent is lovely. It’s lightly sweet with that signature almond warmth. It isn’t overpowering and blends nicely with perfume, which I really appreciated.
The texture is where it fell short for me. While it does leave the skin feeling soft and hydrated, I found it a little too greasy. It didn’t fully absorb and tended to sit on top of the skin, which led to some transfer.
Overall, this is a luxurious product with a soft shimmer and a beautiful scent. It’s probably best for days when you want to feel extra pampered and don’t mind a bit of residue. Not something I’d use every day, but definitely a treat for the senses.
