FoodShouldTasteGood Makes Guilt-Free Chips

| Friday October 24, 2008 Leave a comment

Saying 'food should taste good' isn't exactly a marketing stroke of genius... unless you are referring to the lot of healthy snack food out there that measures up in ingredients but fails miserably in taste.

I happened upon a bag of FoodShouldTasteGood Multigrain chips in the grocery store and decided to see if they lived up to the name.  Tortilla style cracker chips made with flax, sunflower, sesame seeds, oat fiber brown rice, quinoa and soy sounds like a mouthful of 'let's see about that', but the taste was pleasantly surprising!

I sprang the bag of these on my production team when we were having a snack attack after a recent filming.  Since it was just me and the boys, I knew they would balk if they saw all of the healthy packaging, so I poured them into a bowl and served them with a good dose of salsa.  "WOW!  What is this?" said Geoff, whose main food groups are Red Bull, Coffee Crisp and Hot dogs.  They ravaged the bowl and I hardly got a chip in edgewise before they were all gone.  Silly delicious.  Don't even really need the salsa and now the best chips of my life.

No trans fat, cholesterol, artificial colours, flavours or preservatives, gluten free, no GMO low sodium and a good source of dietary fibre.  Yep, I'll be eating the next bag all by myself.
