Last night I attended an event at the Sweetgrass spa at Verity with our bubbly beauty expert, Ellen. No one knows how to jam a room full of influential women quite like the Chicks at Verity. Pink martinis, sparkling wine and a mile long lineup for free services ensured the event was a success. Toronto Life was on hand to co-promote the event.

If you are looking for a luxury spa experience, Sweetgrass is a great bet. Located in a beautifully restored 19th century building on Queen street East with chandeliers and cheery tangerine walls, the pampering options are endless. Try the underwater treadmill in the pool or cap off your massage with dinner at George Restaurant, which is ranked as one of the finest restaurants in Toronto and exclusive to Sweetgrass.

After the event Ellen and I headed to the new Terroni location on Adelaide where we met up with our makeup expert, Joy to celebrate Ellen's birthday (it's today!) Though the wait for a table for 3 was over an hour, it was well worth it. This beautifully appointed restaurant is by far one of the best new hotspots in the city. The decor is stunning and the chocolately scents wafting from the kitchen while you wait is ridiculous. We thoroughly enjoyed their famous thin crust pizzas and a heavenly serving of (of course!) their flourless chocolate cake.
