I received this primer from the Chick Advisor review club. I can honestly say that I have now added another wonderful Nivea product to my beauty arsenal! This primer goes on smooth and soaks in right away. There is no residue or blending issues. It's awesome! My makeup is so smooth on top of this primer and my face feels fantastic. The scent is typical of the Nivea line, kind of a light floral. Really pretty. I will be purchasing this over and over! The Nivea line is the best. -

Living in Canada, my skin tends to get super dry and chapped in the winter. This had cream has been an absolute LIFESAVER! I bought the version in the screw top jar when I saw it on sale at Walmart. I had high hopes for this cream as it's advertised for tough, working hands. It did not disappoint. This lotion goes on smooth and absorbs really well. My skin feels relieved the minute I put it on. I love how just a little bit of this cream goes a long way, so the jar tends to last for quite a while. I have already recommended this product to my friends and family. My Dad is on at least his second jar and my Mum always has a container of this in the bathroom. This is definitely my go-to hand cream when the temperature dips. I will be buying this over and over again. It is a wonderful and high quality product. -

I am always on the hunt for a good lip balm for my super dry lips. I loved the products from the O'Keeffe's line that I had tried before, so when I saw their lip balm on the shelf I thought, why not? For me, it did not disappoint! I really like the consistency of the balm. It goes on smooth and leaves a nice creamy, but not sticky, coating on my lips. I really feel like my lips are protected from the elements when I am wearing this. I also really dig the odd, oval shape that the tube is. I found that the shape really contoured my lips, which was nice. My fiance has tried this as well and he really liked it too. I bought the original (flavourless) variety, but will definitely be trying the "cooling" version when I see it at the store to see if it is as good as this one. I would definitely recommend this lip balm to my friends and family. I will be repurchasing for sure. -

I did, however, find the flavour way too strong. It actually made my cheek skin slough out...I know...gross! Maybe my mouth was just sensitive to an ingredient? -

I LOVE this toothpaste! I am always trying to get my smile as white as possible, and this really does the trick. My teeth feel so clean after brushing and stay fresh for a long time. When I first used it, I thought the taste was a bit strong, but I found that I got used to it after a few uses. The price is a bit higher than regular toothpaste (I paid around $11 for the kit at Walmart), but I think it's totally worth it. If you are looking to freshen up your pearly whites, I would definitely recommend this toothpaste. -

I am a sunscreen maniac! I have very pale skin that burns easily, so in the hot summer months, I am always applying sunscreen. In the past, I had tried the Sun Bum's cream sunscreen, so when I saw this on the shelf at Shopper's Drug Mart, I just had to try it. It is on the expensive side of sunscreens, but I feel like you really get what you pay for with sun protection. As a spray, it goes on smoothly and is great for on-the-go or touch-ups. The nozzle has never clogged on me, which is a huge bonus! There is an awesome design feature where the cap twists shut over the nozzle for travel so there aren't any spraying accidents in the bottom of my bag. I love the light floral/tropical scent and always get complimented on it. I have never gotten a burn while using this product, which is awesome. I have recommended it to everybody that I know and will buy it many times over in the future. A fantastic sunscreen! -

I bought this eye shadow after my preferred trio was discontinued. While this eye shadow is recommended for blue eyes, I have been using on my brown eyes because I like the shades. It goes on pretty smoothly and has a medium level of pigmentation, which I am happy with. The colours seem to blend well together. The packaging it cute, but the brush that comes with it is absolute garbage. Almay curved the handle of the brush so it would fit into the container, rendering it fairly useless. I just resorted to using my finger for application. As far as wear, it lasts me through most of my work day without touch up, which is good. Overall, I would say that I'm not totally satisfied with it, but it will do as a replacement until I find an eye shadow that I like better. -

I am always on the hunt for a great lip balm, so when I saw this one with a coupon at Walmart, I decided to give it a try. The product claims that it has an "anti-aging core" and will "reduce the look of fine lines on and around lips." I've been using it for a couple of weeks now, and while it is moisturizing, I can't say that I have noticed and diminishing of lines on my lips. The balm goes on smoothly, but has an almost gritty/exfoliating quality after awhile. It wasn't unpleasant, but it wasn't what I was expecting from a lip balm. I did find that if I didn't rub it it enough, it left a gross white residue after wearing it for a while, which my fiancé had to point out to me (much to my embarrassment!) It does smell nice and the core is a pretty pink colour that leaves a bit of shimmer, but not too much. The tube is a bit larger than a conventional balm, and slightly larger than some lipsticks that I own. I think I would have preferred a more sleek design for carrying in my pocket/purse. The moisturizing effects also didn't seem to last very long. Overall, I think it's just an okay lip balm, but nothing that I would tell my friends about. -

I received a small sample sized bar from CeraVe. Normally, I absolutely love CeraVe products. Their foaming facial cleanser is my go-to, so I was really excited to try the Hydrating Cleanser Bar. The product was just "meh" to me. I'm not really a fan of the bar format, as it seems to get a residue buildup on the outside, no matter what I do, which just looks gross to me. The bar did cleanse my skin, but I found it a bit on the drying side, which wasn't pleasant. As such, I can't see myself buying it in the future. -
