I received this product from Chick Advisor to review. Again, I have really dry, over processed, colour treated hair, so I'm always looking for something to boost the moisture levels in my hair. I was especially excited to try this repair masque because I've never really used one before and thought it could definitely help my hair.
On the container it directs you to apply to towel dried hair but I applied this to my hair after I shampooed IN the shower. After I rinsed my hair free of shampoo, I rung my hair out gently to get rid of the excess water. Then grabbed a very generous amount of product out of the pot and began to saturate my hair from root to tip. I figured more would be better in the case of my stressed out hair! I worked it in all through my hair and then let it sit for probably 3-5 minutes to work its magic.
As I rinsed it out of my hair, I noticed how different my hair felt. It was like someone had replaced my hair with healthy new hair. It was absolutely amazing. When I got out of the shower I towel dried my hair quickly and began to comb through it. I was pleasantly surprised at how easily the comb went through my hair, which let me tell you, is super abnormal for me. I let my hair air-dry, since I'm trying to reduce the amount of heat I use on my hair, and when it dried I could still notice a difference. It looked a lot healthier and moisturized.
I really, really, really love this product. I would without a doubt re-purchase this product. It would fabulously on my hair. It was a hair make over. It is pricey but sometimes products are worth their money, and I would definitely say this one is!

I received this product from Chick Advisor to review. I was really excited to test it out, because lately I can't seem to find a shampoo that I like that actually works with my hair. I have colour treated hair and even though my hair never seems to look fried, it totally is. When I wash my hair its so dry and instantly tangled. So, I'm up for trying anything at this point.
When I opened the bottle it smelled of banana and maybe a hint of coconut? I couldn't place the exact smell, but it smelled quite good. :) I applied a loonie sized amount of shampoo in my hand and began to lather up. It lathered really well and the smell filled my bathroom. When I rinsed I immediately noticed my hair didn't feel as dry and coarse as it usually does, which was a pleasant surprise.
I have tried a couple other moisturizing shampoo's for over-worked dry hair but I never noticed the instant moisture I got from this shampoo. I could definitely tell the difference.
My only concern is the price, it is quite pricy, however, if it works and I really did need it, like I need it now, I would definitely re-purchase it.
Overall, I really like the result of this shampoo. The smell and instant moisture were two main selling points. I can see a difference in my hair after using the shampoo, its a lot more hydrated and looks healthier!

I love colouring my hair! I'm not a big fan of the mess sometimes though! When the "foam" hair colour started appearing I decided I'd try it out! I've tried a couple brands now; the Clairol Nice N' Easy foam as well as the L'Oreal Sublime Mousse. I love the concept. Less mess, for the most part! My mom will be with me 100% on that one, I always drip on the floor, sink, etc. There are stains to prove it. I was extrememly lucky to get the chance to try the John Frieda Precision Foam Colour thanks to my work. The reps came in with a handful of them so they could do "before & after" photos of us.
It claims to provide "flawless coverage you thought you could only get at a salon. No drips, no stains – just gorgeous-looking hair from every angle." Its supposed to be able to even out the hair colour and look absolutely perfect! Its available in 30 different shades ranging from blonde to black! Of course, this product will NOT lighten your hair, only enhance your current colour or darken it!! I chose the shade 3VR or Radiant Red Deep Cherry Brown. Now it was time to test it out!
One of the first things I noticed when I opened the box was the black salon style gloves as well as the massive container of conditioner! Usually in a box hair colour, the conditioner is about 20mLs at best. In this box, the conditioner is 50mLs & it smells delicious! I mixed the colour and developer and tilted the bottle 5 times as directed. It didn't look like much product at all! Then it was time to apply! I squeezed the bottle and my hand was filled with the perfect amount of foam. I definitely noticed how dense this foam was compared to the other foamy hair colours. There was NO mess at all! It was fabulous! Also, it doesn't have too horrible of a scent while applying the colour. Its quite mild and completely bearable. I applied all over my head as directed, waited 30 minutes and rinsed!
I applied the conditioner and like most box hair colour my hair felt instantly replenished. It smells phenomenal though, some box dyes don't smell too fabulous and your hair ends up smelling like the dye afterwards still. Not the case with this one at all, I keep getting whifs of it and it still smells great. My hair is very shiny and soft which I like also. The colour is very vibrant and it definitely is uniform. It is a little darker than I expected, but again, it will fade out to a lighter shade as does any hair colour. This is definitely my favourite foam colour I've tried yet. I don't have any complaints at all. I've only just tested it, so we'll see how well the colour lasts. But I do have to factor in that it is a red shade which tends to fade out quicker, but hopefully it will stand up next to the other brands I've tested!
Overall, I absolutely love this hair colour product. The smell, texture and effectiveness is fabulous and I would definitely recommend testing it out. There are 30 shades so it is a fairly wide range of colours and it is also affordable at about 11 dollars Canadian.
Try it out and let me know what you think!

The packaging: This foundation comes in a 1.4oz aerosol container. It's available in 8 different shades.
The product: Revlon claims that this foundation "provides a flawless finish, leaving you with a smooth poreless complexion. The formula’s photochromatic pigments bend and reflect light to minimize flaws, leaving you with perfectly airbrushed skin in any light – indoors, outdoors, or under the flash of a camera. Oil free, fragrance free." First thing I need to adress. This foundation has a HORRIBLE scent. When I tested it on my hand, I happened to catch a whiff of it, and it smells like ear wax. Which, made me VERY reluctant to try it. I was hoping it was just the tester and that the actual foundation wouldn't smell as bad or at least the smell would wear off quickly. The product does feel great on my skin and leaves me with a nice "air brushed" look. I found that once I set it with a powder, I couldn't smell it anymore. :) It is a fairly heavy coverage foundation but it does feel very light on your skin.
The price: This foundation retails for about $18.99 CAD (depending where you find it, you can locate it cheaper.) I DO think this is fairly over priced for a drugstore foundation. If you're looking for a cheap foundation, this is not your product. I also think you can purchase a drugstore foundation of similar quality for la better price.
Overall: I think that the Revlon PhotoReady Air Brush Mousse foundation is a decent foundation, but is slightly over priced. I'm not a huge fan of the smell and really, I think there are foundations of similar quality that would be easier on the wallet. However, if you really want to spend the cash and battle the smell. Try it out! :)

OK, So this is going to be in a slightly different format from my other reviews!
I bought Zumba Fitness 2 for Wii on Boxing Day this year. I had head a lot of positive chatter about this product, & I was looking for something fun and heart pumping to do for some great exercise!
I'm not a huge "techy" in terms of video game consoles, I barely know how to turn the thing on! BUT, I figured it out! :)
I added my profile which includes basic stats (name, age, height, weight :x and a couple other things) and was off to the races. You're given a few choices. You can "learn the steps," choose a "single song" or "take a class." I figured for testing purposes I would do a few songs first. The songs are mostly very high energy and heavy beat songs. After I put on the special "Zumba Fitness Belt" and inserted the remote into the belt, I chose one and started on! It was fairly simple, there are on screen directions and you basically follow the character, doing what she does.
At the end of the song I could feel my heart pumping and the sweat was starting to form on my forehead! It felt great! When you finish a class/song it calculates calories burned (which I'm aware are fairly approximate) and accuracy of moves. It's a lot of fun to see how much you improve over a few days!
Over the past couple of weeks, I have done a few classes and nearly every single one of the individual classes! In the main menu, there is a "progress" tab. This shows you your progress over the weeks in terms of calories burned, accuracy, weight lost, etc.
I really think this game is a lot of fun and a great way to get your bums moving! I've lost 7.5lbs over the past week and a half using Zumba Fitness 2 AND choosing healthier foods! :) I really want 2012 to be the year I reach my final goal weight and not completely hate the process. I love that I can exercise in the comfort of my own home without looking like a complete moron at the gym... LOL
I know there is also a multiplayer aspect, however, I have yet to try it!
Would I reccommend this product? Of course I would! Especially for you Chicks who had a New Year's Resolution of shedding some pounds, like me! Its a lot of fun and very easy to do!
Happy Zumba-ing!

The packaging: The Tea Tree Water Toner comes in a black spritzer bottle with the signature black LUSH label. It's available in two sizes, 100mL and 250mL.
The product: Tea Tree Water. Oh how I love thee. I have incorperated it into my daily face care routine as well as mid-day freshen ups. It works fabulous for troublesome acne prone skin and is awesome in the summer for refreshing your hot and sweaty face. (Cute, right? Oh come on, I know you all sweat!) It features (the obvious) tea tree, juniper and grapefruit water. Tea tree has natural anti-bacterial properties, perfect for oily, acne prone skin! Juniper is known for having antiseptic properties and grapefruit water can be used for improving skin tone! Sounds fabulous right? Let's continue! Tea Tree Water smells very fresh and leaves my skin feeling tighter and refreshed. In the morning, after I've cleaned my face I spray Tea Tree Water on a cotton pad and apply all over my face and neck. Occassionally I will just spray the mist directly on my face for a quick refresher! Also, an FYI; Tea Tree Water is one of LUSH's Vegan products!
The price: Tea Tree Water comes in two sizes; the 100mL size sells for $8.95 and the 250mL size sells for $19.95 (both in CAD.) I purchased the 250mL bottle which lasted me for aproximately 6 months. After which, I repurchased the product. I think it is a resonable price for the quantity, seeing as how you don't use much of it, which in turn lets it last forever!
Overall: I definitely enjoy Tea Treet Water. Its a necessary aspect of my daily face care routine and when I don't use it, I can definitely notice a difference in the feel of my skin. I believe it also helps to control the oils that my face produces. I like how easy it is to apply/use and how it makes my skin look more "awake" in the morning! I would definitely reccommend it to someone with combination, oily, or acne prone skin who needed a good toner. Is that you? Try it out!

The packaging: I Love Juicy comes in the typical LUSH shampoo bottle with the black label! It comes in 100mL, 250mL & 500mL packaging. I did purchase the 500mL bottle for $29.95 CAD. You can try the small bottle for $9.95 CAD, OR you can always ask for a sample of the shampoo! The girls at my favourite LUSH store are awesome for letting me try new stuff! :)
The product: I have naturally horribly oily hair. No matter what I do, its always oily. I will pretty much try anything at this point to help me out! I Love Juicy features mango and pineapple juices to help cut through and control oil. As well there is sea salt and seaweed gel; salt to add volume and seaweed gel to keep it soft! As soon as I smelled the shampoo in the store I was sold. It's super fruity and really gets your senses tingling! You don't need a lot of the shampoo, it lathers up quite well and I only shampooed once, no rinse and repeat necessary. It was really awesome at how the citrus scent stayed in my hair too!
The price: I Love Juicy comes in 3 sizes, 500mL for $29.95; 250mL for $19.95 or 100mL for $9.95 (all CAD.) It is slightly pricey, however I certainly think it is well worth the cost. My 500mL bottle lasted me for an exceptionally long time ( I don't know exactly how long...) and I definitely repurchased it!
Overall: I really love "I Love Juicy." It cleans my hair very well, smells delicious, you don't need a lot, and overall its just fabulous! Yes, its kind of costly, but I do think it is worth it! Not entirely bought over yet? Head into your local LUSH store and ask for a sample of I Love Juicy today! Prove me wrong! ;)

The packaging: This is a liquid eyeliner in a pen form. I purchased it in black, which came in a black pen with the JOE FRESH labelling in white. It aproximately 1mL of product with a thin usable pen tip. Nothing overly fancy, but it does the trick!
The product: Let me first explain something. I recently lost my vision in my left eye.. and as you may understand this makes applying make up somewhat of a challenge. I did find that it is a lot easier to use a liquid eyeliner vs. a eyeliner pencil which is how I came upon this particular product. It is a very easy product to use and goes on smoothly. Depending on the pressure you put on it the tip you can have a thinner or thicker line. It's not overly runny, and you don't get too much product either! Sometimes I choose to wear solely mascara and a liquid liner cat-eye look; I do reccommend that when you wear just the liquid liner apply a akin tone shadow all over your lid to prevent transfer of the liner OR apply a black shadow with an eyeliner brush over the liquid liner, again to prevent transfer onto your upper eyelid. It's also available in brown, navy and grey I believe.
The price: $6.00 at any Loblaw chain store that offers JOE FRESH products! And yeah, 6 dollars.. SIX! How could you go wrong? I love a deal, and this, this is a STEAL! :)
Overall: I couldn't love this product more.. well unless I had a lifetime supply of it in my makeup case... Its such a deal, easy to use, great colour saturation and well, I just love it. I would reccommend it to anyone! So go get one today! Seriously, GO!

I recieved this product from Chick Advisor when I won the weekly contest! :) I was really excited to test the product out. I got this product in the shade brown bling.
The packaging: This product comes in a see through tube with a twist off applicator wand. When you remove the wand there is a controlled amount of product on it. It's nothing too out of the ordinary.
The product: CG claims that this product has a built in primer that makes it last. Although there is no specifications as to how long it lasts I was still curious. Primer is usually made to make the shadow stay all day. Of course, I decided immediately I needed to test it out. When I apply eyeshadow normally, I will always apply a primer to prevent creasing and make it last. I was skeptical because it is a cream shadow, and cream shadows are renound for creasing. I got ready for work and applied it all over my lids. I used the wand and put a bit of the product on my lid and then blended it with my finger to make sure it wasn't appplied too thickly. It dried, I apllied my mascara and off I went. I noticed around noon that the shadow was creasing very badly which wasn't appealing at all. It was a little disappointing to be honest. The colour of the shadow is very rich and pigmented though. I would definitely reccommend that if you want to wear this product, you will need to apply an actual primer before using it.
The price: As I said before, I did recieve this product free. However, in stores, it retails for about ten dollars. I do feel like CG products are quite expensive anymore and their products are semi hit or miss. It seems kind of pricey for the product.
Overall: It's an ok product. I like the richness of the colour. I'm not so in love with the fact that it does crease unless you have an actual primer underneath. Would I buy it? Probably not, unless it was on sale.
For me, this product is just ok. It's pretty but the primer is definitely not as prominent as I had hoped..

The packaging: Very unique. I've never seen anything like it before. However, its not as practical as any other lipbalm as it doesn't fit as convieniantly into your pocket.
The product: When you unscrew the top you'll definitely notice the smell. It smells delicious at first smell. Over the past month or so, I have noticed a significant decrease in the smell factor. It is definitely very easy to apply, although people look strangely at me sometimes when I have this red sphere up to my face. :P Its fairly moisturinzing for healthy lips, although if you have severely chapped/cracked lips, you'll need something a little more medicated/moisturizing.
The price: About 3 and a half dollars. Fairly decent. Average lip balms usually cost about 2 dollars. There is 0.25 oz of product in the EOS Organic Sphere lip balm and usually there is about 0.15 oz of product in a regular tube of lipbalm. So, for a little bit more product you have to expect to pay a little more. All in all, it works.
Other notes: I love this product, its unique shape definitely makes it stand out in the lip balm community. I'm a little sad it's not sold in stores in Ontario, Canada. Hopefully soon... It also comes in a variety of different scents/flavours.
For me, this is definitely a yay product. Try it out for yourself if you don't believe me! :P
