Aveeno® Calm + Restore Skin Therapy Balm

Ever since my baby was born, I’ve been struggling with extra dry skin. Areas are itchy and not much helps. I was very excited to try Aveeno’s Calm+Restore Skin Therapy Balm in hopes of relieving some of my discomfort. I will say, I do like it! It’s a bit thicker than lotion but absorbs well. Like other Aveeno products it’s unscented and very gentle, so it’d be great for anyone to use. It did provide some relief on application, but I took off a star because the relief was not long-lasting. My skin is definitely softer though. -

I typically receive products to review before the notification emails arrive, so I'm always surprised by the boxes on my front porch. This aircraft carrier was no exception, and you can imagine my shock at seeing the size of the box. When expanded, this thing is over 3 feet long! That's part of why it loses a star - it takes up a lot of space and is not good for anyone with limited room for playing/storage. I was also a little disappointed that the storage compartments on the sides are not all big enough to store the vehicles - the advertising on the box is misleading (my daughter definitely thought she'd be getting all the characters before we opened the box) and for anyone that gets sucked into buying more of the vehicles, it's unfortunate they'd have to be stored elsewhere. Lastly, I love toys that foster imagination and the aircraft carrier is a little limited...it doesn't look that different when it's compacted vs. expanded, and the different areas of the carrier have somewhat limited uses. My daughter enjoys playing with it for now (the projectile cannons are a great addition too), but I wouldn't be surprised if it loses its appeal after a short time. -

I love acne spot patches, how I wish these were a thing when I was in high school! PanOxyl is on par with other brands I’ve tried and I’m quite satisfied with their effectiveness. They’re on the thicker side which means they’re easier to peel off the sheet and they can potentially absorb a bit more. I love that they come in two sizes. I took off one star for the packaging - a couple of the spots stuck to the waxy interior as I opened it and started lifting off the sheet. Noting that this was only a sample, i can only hope that the full size comes in a resealable package like some other brands I’ve used instead of the paper wrapper my sample arrived in. -

I also found it to be drying so I like to use it at night vs in the morning before makeup. -

This was very easy to use! As someone that can be sensitive to chemical smells, I appreciate how there’s little to no odour with this brand. I didn’t need to paint, but it did feel dry after just 15 minutes! So far so good, we’ll see how... +

I was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes and have to watch my carb intake. So, when I got this coupon and saw only 1g of sugar, I was very excited! However, upon reading the nutritional information, I learned the drinks contain 1g of sugar and 10g of erythritol for a total of 11g of carbs per bottle, aka NOT diabetic friendly. To me there’s no point in advertising 1g of sugar when there are still sugar alcohols in the drink, it’s very misleading! In addition to that, it’s sweetened with stevia, which I dislike. It has a distinct aftertaste that for me personally ruins whatever drink it’s in. Definitely disappointing and not something I’d recommend - might as well drink juice. -

I haven’t used Nair in ages. The applicator was nice, but ultimately I had the same issues with this product as with all my other attempts at using Nair. There’s a faint watermelon smell that disappears very quickly and is replaced by Nair’s signature scent. I wish the instructions were clear on just how thick of a layer is needed. I applied what I thought was thick, without using the whole tube, and not only were patches left untouched but some hairs that were affected were just wilted but not removed. I left the cream on for almost the maximum amount of time too, and still ended up shaving. Not worth it for me! -
