I discovered Milani products because of rave reviews from the Glam Guru herself, Tati Westbrook. I am a fan of their range and affordability. It’s a drugstore brand that has definitely upped their game.
I use the “make it last” setting spray as the last step of my makeup, before I put on my mascara. It is not as fine of a mist as I would prefer, but it dries down very quickly for how much product is dispersed. It doesn’t dry matte, but it’s not overly dewy either. It kind of just sets in a nice, natural moisturized looking way.
The smell is amazing, the ingredient list is quite nice and it does last through an evening out for dinner and drinks. I don’t think it’s the best bet for a night of clubbing though. I’d buy again for more of a day time setting spray.

I am a 27 year old female with combination, sensitive and acne prone skin. I started researching double cleansing as a way to really ensure my skin was prepped for serums and exfoliation. I looked at a ton of Korean brands, and some Western options as well, but everything I researched had so many ingredients and irritants and were packed full of fragrance. I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled upon Cliniques Take the Day Off cleansing balm. I’ve had some issues with Clinique in the past due to high alcohol and fragrance content. This product is fragrance free, alcohol free and irritant free. The texture is amazing; the balm emulsifies so smooth and yet still so rich. My sunscreen and makeup, including mascara, melt right off. When I rinse my face there is very little residue left over considering the oily consistency. The balm cost me about $38 at Sephora, and honestly the jar will probably last a solid 6 months with how little you need to use. I also love the traditional Clinique packaging; it just looks so clean to me. I will 100% repurchase and continue to use this product. It’s changed my cleanse for the best. -

I am a 27 year old female with combination, sensitive and acne prone skin. This year I discovered the beauty of actives. I suffer from blackheads for which I use a great BHA, but my skin desperately needed an AHA as well to combat bumpy, uneven texture and white heads. Let me tell you, the internet goes crazy for this stuff. It is a great beginner product for actives. I find it gentle enough to use a few times a week, and I notice immediate changes in the morning. The bumpy ness in my forehead has significantly decreased in just a few weeks usage, and I haven’t seen a whitehead since. The product has a lovely and light berry scent and a little goes a long way. It’s an amazing value at $8 for 240ml and the bottle lasts forever. AHAs do promote photosensitivity so ensure you wear an SPF the morning after use, and always be sure to moisturize post actives. -

I am a 27 year old female with combination, sensitive and acne prone skin. I am a huge follower of cult beauty and had read so many reviews about rosehip seed oil that I knew I had to try it out. The cult favourite seems to be The Ordinary, and I see why. I use this product nightly; sometimes I mix it together with my CeraVe PM, and other times I put it on directly before the CeraVe PM. The stuff absorbs right in to my skin. I’m not usually one to brag about instant gratification with a skincare product, but oh wow. It absorbs quickly, it dries matte and the scent is lovely. The first morning I woke up I immediately noticed a more even complexion, my “active” acne bumps were significantly decreased in size and redness, and my face just felt great. There are so many benefits of rosehip seed oil, especially for acneic individuals like myself. It’s definitely a YMMV product, but for me it has become a Holy Grail product. It’s not clogging, it’s not greasy and it’s doing wonders for my skins moisture and appearance. The oil comes in the adorable TO apothecary bottles and I paid about $10 for 30ml. You need very little so I foresee this bottle lasting me quite some time. -

I am a 27 year old female with combination, sensitive and acne prone skin. I struggled for a long time to find a moisturizer that I could wear easily over my morning humectants. Everything was either too greasy or too shiny, or straight up too expensive. I use the FAB Ultra Repair Cream on my post-Differin days, but I needed a nice AM moisturizer for my retinoid-free days. Also, with the summer coming I needed something light to layer under my SPF. When I discovered NMF + HA, I was super excited because I wanted the additional hyaluronic acid in my routine. The formula is interesting; it’s sort of thick and siliconey, but it spreads out so smooth and matte. It is scent free and as per most of The Ordinary’s products contains minimal ingredients. I was nervous that the silicone would be comogenic, but I’ve had zero issues with clogged pores or break outs. I bought the 100 ml tube for about $8 and I have already decided to place an order for stockpile. A little goes a long way, but The Ordinary has a hard time keeping this on the shelves; it’s quickly becoming a cult favourite. -

I’m a 27 year old female with combination, sensitive and acne prone skin. I am currently a Differin user, and anyone who has used Differin knows the struggle of the dry-out. I was looking for a better price point product than the Drunk Elephant Lala Retro Whipped Cream, and I stumbled across FAB Ultra Repair Cream. I’m in love. LOVE. The cream itself is quite thick, but the formula makes it feel so light on my skin. I find the results comparable to the much pricier Drunk Elephant. I wear it the morning after Differin and it keeps the dryness at bay. FAB products are super gentle and I’ve had no issues with pore clogging, break outs or irritation. The formula itself is fragrance free but does have a nice, light scent due to the lovely extracts in the ingredient list. My makeup and SPF sit nicely on top, and it keeps my oil at bay. I originally purchased the 2oz tube from Sephora for $15, but I will be moving on to the 6 oz tub for $37 at Sephora. The packaging, while simple, is actually quite cute. I’m a fan overall. -

I am a 27 year old female with combination, sensitive and acne prone skin. I picked up a bottle of the Mario Badescu Rosewater spray on Amazon for about $9. The scent is a little strong at first but settles very nicely. The texture is quite thin, but with more texture than just water; it almost feels silky. I was originally using this as a toning spray, but have since moved on to using it as a burst of hydration in the afternoon, or to set my makeup. The nozzle is a little too large for a small enough spray to be considered a “mist,” so it doesn’t totally cover your face, just sprays large spritz of the product. However it does dry matte and keeps my face hydrated. -

I am a 27 year old female with combination, sensitive and acne prone skin. This little tube of 5% benzoyl peroxide has made my life 100% better. When I’m having a bad Differin break out, or when my hormones are running wild, this treatment reduces redness, reduces the size of the pimple and dries out any active whiteheads I can see. I’m honestly surprised this is an over the counter product with how effective it is. I paid about $9 for it at Shoppers Drug Mart and one tube has lasted me almost 6 months. A little goes a long way. -

I am a 27 year old female with combination, sensitive and acne prone skin. I picked this up as an eye cream due to the retinol. While incredibly low on the ingredient list, this plumps my tired eyes right up. I use it at night right before my moisturizer and it absorbs quickly, goes on smoothly and doesn’t cause any irritation. I’ve also used it around my nose when I am particularly dry. I wake up in the morning with no bags under my eyes. It’s a little on the pricey side ($20 or so) for a pretty small tube, but a little bit does go a long way. -
