This is part of the Hunt's Dessert Flavours collection of pudding cups. Each pack comes with four individually packaged pudding cups at 130 calories each. I usually buy this from Loblaws on sale for around $1. Each cup comes with two distinct pudding layers: a white meringue topping and a yellow lemon custard. The meringue pudding layer is sweet and has a soft and airy feel, just like the topping of a lemon meringue pie. There is a light lemon flavour that seeps into the meringue from the lemon custard pudding layer below. The lemon layer is not sweet, to balance out the sweetness of the meringue pudding. It has a light lemon taste. The pudding is creamy and decadent. I enjoy freezing these cups and taking them out about 30-45 minutes before eating them. It makes for a great frozen dessert. To me, it tastes just like eating a lemon meringue pie, only healthier. I intend to keep buying these. My little sister does not like pudding at all but she can't get enough of this flavour. -

I got this variety pack at Wal Mart for under $3. It contains 14 granola bars in total, with 8 chocolate chip and 6 chocolate chip, marshmallow, and graham. Each bar is 110 calories. The bars are soft, chewy, and sweetly delicious. They compare with the quality of the Quaker Chewy bars, in fact I preferred this version of the s'mores, and they come at a cheaper price point. The chocolate chip bars have a unique light taste of coconut in them, which i enjoyed. The one downside is the wrappers on the bars are different colors- to distinguish the varieties- but it doesn't say anywhere what each of them is. This makes it hard to know and then remember which is which. I plan on buying this again and again. -

I like the simple ingredients in this bar. All this bar contains are: dates, dried coconut, cashews, almonds, and coconut oil. This bar has a primarily sweet date taste. There are shreds of coconut throughout the bar which add a nice crunch and creaminess. The coconut taste is present but not overpowering; I do wish it came through slightly stronger. My mom, on the other hand, loved the taste of this as it reminded her of coconut cream pie. The almonds spread loosely throughout the bar add a nice nuttiness and hard crunch. Each bar contains 20 per cent daily recommended fibre, 15 per cent magnesium, and four per cent iron. Each bar is 230 calories, making it great for breakfast or as part of lunch.
These can be found at most grocery stores, either individually or in packs of five. They are sold at a price of around $2 each.

I randomly found these at Independent for 50 per cent off, so each bag came to under $1. There were a variety of flavours available. Each bag is portion sized at 100 calories, so it's great for a snack or to grab on-the-go as part of lunch. There are quite a few chips in each bag. They have a corn chip taste and texture, even though they are made from lentils. The closest comparison for me are SunChips. The chips are crunchy and taste deep fried, without the greasy oil. There is a mild yet present garlic and parmesan taste. One thing I'd say is to not judge by the smell, which is a little bit gross if you stick your nose in the bag. These are egg, milk, wheat, and gluten-free. All the ingredients are ones that are fairly easy to pronounce and recognize. I'd buy this again and look forward to trying other flavour. The downside is I can't find the small bags anymore, which are pre-portioned. -

I'm a fan of the Quaker Chewy S'mores granola bars, so after seeing a box of these at Wal Mart for less than $2, I decided to give them a try. I would say this lives up to the Quaker variety. Each box contains eight individually wrapped granola bars. The bars are made in a peanut-free facility, which is great for allergies. When I first opened the wrapper, I was pleasantly surprised to see so many mini chocolate chips and mini marshmallows. This reminded me of eating a chewy s'mores, so it definitely lived up to it's name. This bar has a nice sweetness that you would expect from a s'mores, without being overly sweet. The dehydrated mini marshmallows add a nice fluffy taste. I did not get any graham cracker taste but there was a light crunchiness that reminded me of a graham cracker texture, which was nice. The granola bars are 110 calories each and contain a little bit of iron and fiber. I'd buy these again for sure. -

I got these granola bars as part of a variety pack at Wal Mart called "Great Value Chewy Granola Bars- Variety Pack". The variety pack contains 14 granola bars in total, with 8 chocolate chip and 6 of this variety (chocolate chip, marshmallow, and graham). Each bar is 110 calories. The bars are soft and chewy with a light textural crunch from the rolled oats, which are the base ingredient in this bar. This bar has a nice sweetness, which tastes a bit like a dessert bar. The dehydrated mini marshmallows add a nice mashmallowey taste to the bar and compliment the mini chocolate chips really well. I did feel I was missing the graham, though, as I could not taste it or detect it anywhere. If you are looking for a deliciously sweet granola bar, this may just be worth a try. -

This used to be one of my favourite cereals, until they changed the formula. A large box of this cereal can be found at Costco and it's often on sale at most supermarkets. Honeycomb cereal has recently been reformulated to include a "bigger honey taste." With this came an unfortunate change in texture and colour. The new Honeycombs are a deep yellow and less dense in texture. This new formula tastes more artificial. Honeycombs have lost their wholesome feel, and now fall in line with the taste of other sugary cereals. -

I find this flavour harder to find than some of the others, so when I saw a pack at Loblaws for around $3, I knew I had to get it. These cookies are thin and crispy. They are crispier than regular Oreos, which is something I prefer about them. The portion is four cookies for 150 calories, making them a great snack. This flavour uses a Golden Oreo Thin cookie, for those who like the vanilla cookie. It is then filled with a thin layer of caramel creme. The caramel creme is mildly sweet, though I didn't get any salty, which was unfortunate given the name of the cookie. This is a unique taste and I'd recommend it to those who like caramel and Golden Oreos. If if you're looking for the salted, however, you won't get it. -

I bought a box of these for $1.25 from Dollar Tree. The box contains five granola bars. Each granola bar is 110 calories. These bars are made with small toasted chocolate cereal balls on top. The cereal balls remind me of Nesquik cereal, only smaller in size. The bottom of the bar is dipped in chocolate that tastes like a mix of semi-sweet and milk chocolate. The taste of the chocolate bottom is low quality, which you can tell if you try a little bit of it alone. The bar is crunchy with a light chew due to the sticky substance holding the bar together. I really enjoy the texture of this bar. There is a chocolatey flavour, which is great for chocolate fans, without it being overly sweet. Overall, this bar is delicious and good for those who are not looking for anything overly sweet. -

This is one of my favourite cereals and has been for a long time. I usually buy them from Costco where you can find a box with two large bags inside for almost the price of a regular box at most grocery stores. I recently noticed that Honeycomb cereal has been reformulated to include a "bigger honey taste", but with this also came a change in texture and colour. The new Honeycombs are a deep yellow and less dense in texture. You can also see the honey glaze on them. This new formula tastes more artificial and sweet. It reminds me of many other sugary cereals on the market, whereas the old formula was more wholesome in taste. Personally, I notice a sweeter taste but not a stronger honey taste-- as I found the old formula had a more natural honey sweetness in every bite. This cereal is not that bad but I'm thrown off in comparison to the old formula. If you're looking for a sweet corn cereal that isn't overly "dessert", I'd give this a try. -
