I'm pretty familiar with the hunt for that ideal eye cream that will at once help reduce dark circles, eliminate bags and smooth the skin's surface and this one rises the challenge fairly well. I don't have any significant wrinkles to be able to say with certainty whether this cream is effective in that respect, but I can assert that it does help to brighten the eye which is important to my care routine. The product itself is light enough and relatively fast absorbing with a pleasant scent. -

Fantastic eye primer, really worth every dime spent on it! You don't need a lot of the product so a little truly goes a long way which makes it last longer. The doe applicator tip isn't the best but I don't mind it at all, just a light swipe and gentle patting motions of my ring finger blend it all in seamlessly. My shadow will stay put for 12 or more hours with very minimal retouching required (frankly I only retouch because I'm a perfectionist, no one would notice the difference anyways). The product even serves to naturally cover any redness so using it on it's own is useful as well. -

I thoroughly enjoy using this palette, it's priced so well that those on a budget can make it work. I've typically been very wary of Maybelline products for one reason or another, so I was hesitant to try their initial Nude palette but after enjoying using that one so much I had to give the Blushed Nudes a try and I'm glad I did; I like it better than their original! The shades are so soft, feminine and really compliment my green eyes, and fair/cool tone complexion. There's a combination of rose, champagne, taupe and brown with more pronounced cool tones and most are slightly shimmery but nothing I find overpowering. They are truly versatile as well, I can transform them from a demure and slight flirty day time look to a more sultry or romantic night time look. The pigmentation is not high end or as thick as most might like, but I use an eye primer and that takes care of that problem anyways. -

Let me just say that you get a TON of product for the price, great bang for your buck for those on a budget, not to mention it comes with a concealer pencil as well. The tube is easy to use, no complaints about packaging for sure. The product consistency is indeed thick as it is heavy duty, so be a bit wary of texture if you're using it for acne. As long as I moisturize dry spots before I use it there aren't usually any problems later in the day. It will gather in the little lines under my eyes but I find that if I don't over apply and use some setting powder that really isn't an issue since it does cover the dark circles rather well. All in all I enjoy this product, it performs fairly well at a price you can't beat! -

I've oily/combination skin and have found this primer to be pretty effective in controlling my shine for approximately 6-8 hours or so depending on the weather conditions. It's easy to apply, non-greasy, and has a comfortable texture that I don't notice on my skin once it sets. The setting time is a bit lengthy but I think it's worth it. Packaging is great, a squeeze tube that's easy to use. The price is phenomenal, other companies would charge +20$ for this kind of product so I love that aspect of it. -

I've now purchased three tubes of this foundation; it's my holy grail and I've been looking for one this effective for a while now. The product has a very lovely light and liquid consistency that covers discolorations, blemishes and acne with a slightly sheer, natural and concealing application. Admittedly it's not a heavy duty foundation but it blends beautifully and doesn't cause ugly texture on my face. I use no.15 Opal in the winter and a shade darker when I've garnered a tan in summer, apply it with a sponge over my primer, set it with powder and voila! Most of the time I only require a very minimal amount of concealer. It doesn't run on the face and lasts a full 9 hour shift at work. It hasn't caused any acne breakouts which is great in my books. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a medium coverage, light and comfortable foundation. -

I've become very fond of L'Oreal's lipsticks, particularly the Color Riche Serum and I've recently been trying some of the Color Riche lipstick colors to expand on my collection. Within the shade Fairest Nude 800 I've found a veritable gem; this is a gorgeous and very sophisticated nude! I've been looking a long time for my ideal nude and this one is thus far the closest I've ever come. My skin tone is fair and cool toned and this shade really compliments it. I can pair it with smokey eyes for an evening look or with a more natural day look to add a bit of elegance. It compliments my green eyes marvelously and it easy to apply. The consistency is a smooth and buttery that has just a tad bit of shine (nothing particularly flashy) but no sparkles, glides on nicely. There's a light flowery scent to the lipstick but I find it enjoyable and it fades very rapidly. The packaging is sleek, nice enough that I don't mind taking it out in public but not overly high end either. Price is quite reasonable as well. -

Recently purchased Avene's new lip balm for sensitive lips after having tried their cold cream lip balm and I must say I am impressed! I have dry, chapped and flaky lips in the winter months caused by the environmental variability in Nova Scotia, so I am always on the hunt for an effective lip balm that I can also use under lipstick. I've tried Blistex, Carmex, Burt's Bees, Vaseline and Nivea with varying rates of success. This particular balm is lovely because the main ingredients are tested and trued moisturizers (such as bees wax, shea butter, and seed oil) and is free of common irritants and perfumes (perfumes in scented balms can irritate already damaged lips and products such as menthol and camphor can lead to dependency). I use it under my lipstick and it makes for a really useful base as well, my lipstick color last longer and my lips aren't dry by the end of the day. The packaging is perfect, a little tube with a lipstick shaped stick, easy and smooth application. The price is a bit high but I'm at the point where I'm willing to pay more for a product that works for me. -
