I just tried Aveeno's Cracked Skin Relief Cica balm and the first thing I noticed when I opened the container was that there really is no fragrance! Yay!! The cream is fairly thick and a little goes a very long way, don't put a lot on at any given time. The 'cica' formulation is great in that it really helps to moisturize your skin, you will notice a difference almost right away. However, the downside to the 'cica' formulation is that it kind of makes your skin feel greasy for about 5 minutes after use. The more you put on, the longer your skin will feel greasy. For me the product was a 'love it' for the moisturizing and the paraben-free aspects, but a 'don't love so much' with the greasy. Using small amounts definitely helps. #gotitfree -

I just tried Mott's new Mango Peach Fruitsations with fibre and it is pretty tasty! The mango peach combo is sweet enough on its own that you don't miss the extra sweetening, it is perfect as is. While you don't get a lot of fibre from the product it does count for 8% of your daily intake, which isn't bad. Kids, and adults will love the flavour. One draw back is that the product is new and super tough to find unless you live in a major urban center. I went to 5 different grocery stores before I finally managed to locate the Mango Peach flavour. So if you can find it, it is worth adding to your list of delicious lunch treats. #gotitfree -

I received a bottle of Neutrogena's Hydro Boost Body Gel Cream to try for free. While I use other Neutrogena products this is the first time I've tried the hydro boost cream and I was impressed. I love that this product has virtually no scent, it was one of the first things I noticed. The next thing that stood out for me was how quickly the cream was absorbed by my skin and the fact that it didn't leave my hands feeling greasy afterwards. I've been using the cream for the last week or so and it has noticeably improved my dry skin (it is winter and I work outside, so my skin is pretty dry)! I think Neutrogena's additon of hyaluronic acid really helps. For the price of the product this is a great option for fighting dry skin. I will be purchasing this in the future. #gotitfree -

Johnson's No More Tangles Shampoo definitely helps to decrease tangles in long hair. Use of this shampoo along with the detangling spray has made combing out my daughter's hair after bath time more enjoyable for both her and me! The shampoo is fairly mild and good for sensitive skin. The only time I wouldn't recommend it is if the kids have gotten super dirty, then the shampoo is a little too mild for really cleaning their hair. The upside, is like most Johnson products there are no tears caused by shampoo getting in the eyes. I also like it because the product is free from dyes and parabens. While the shampoo does have a scent, it is relatively mild, which is good. #gotitfree -

Both I and my daughter like Johnson's 'No More Tangles Detangling Spray. My daughter has long, fine hair and tangles have made both of us cry at times! Johnson's product works really well. I won't say every tangle falls away magically, but they are definitely reduced and the product makes combing after bathing or swimming much easier. The spritz applicator allows you to target the snarl of hair directly, which also makes life easier. This is the perfect product for baths at home or to throw in the bottom of your swim bag. #gotitfree -

Recently I tried Nivea's Micellair water for dry and sensitive skin. The product has essentially no scent which is fantastic and it did a decent job removing any makeup. I loved Nivea's Care Nourishing Cream! The cream is a nice clean, white colour and like many Nivea products it has a super light floral scent. Once you put the nourishing cream on you can't even smell it, which is perfect! The product rubs in quickly without leaving your skin feeling greasy, and it hydrates. I work outdoors so my skin drys out and the Nivea cream helped my skin feel less itchy and hydrated almost right after putting it on. An added bonus is the cream can be used on any skin, including your face. I will definitely be buying this in the future. #gotitfree -

I received a free trial of Vileda's Scrunge Multi-use sponge and was amazed. I can believe how well this sponge works. The rough side removes food easily from pots and pans and does not scratch or harm the finish on my fry pans or pots. The sponge lasts way longer than your typical yellow, kitchen sponges and doesn't really harbour any nasty smells. I will definitely be buying this product again and am so glad I got to try it! #gotitfree -

I recently received AVEENO® Absolutely Ageless® Leave-on Mask to try for free and was impressed. The mask goes on well and doesn't really leave your skin feeling greasy. I also like that it only has a very mild, slightly floral scent. I don't want products that have heavy scents on my face. After using the mask for about 2 weeks, I would say that my skin appears more hydrated, I'm not sure if I have fewer fine lines, but my skin feels healthy and I didn't have any adverse reactions to the product! Initially I was a little disappointed that the mask did not contain sunscreen, but when I researched the product it looks like it might, as the American labels mention an SPF 30. If the mask does contain sunscreen, it would be nice if Aveeno made that more obvious on the Canadian box. The other improvement I would make concern the usage instructions. Currently the label just tells you to put it on and rub it in. I wanted to know if it was recommended to put on under other make-up products, should I put it on before bed etc? None of these questions are addressed on the current labeling. -

Aveeno's Eczema Care Itch Relief Balm does work. I get eczema all over my hands, so they are dry and cracked. The balm helps to relieve the itch and start to heal up your hands. As with other Aveeno eczema products it has the Eczema Society's accepted seal and the product contains ceramides which help heal.
My only concern is the thickness of the product. It is a very heavy cream and it takes awhile to be fully absorbed by the skin, especially if applied to instructions (ie. 'apply liberally')! So, basically it works but is a thicker heavier cream. If you have a big eczema flare-up though, I think it is worth using. I will purchase the product again. #tryAveenoEczema #gotitfree
