I've tried multiple eye makeup removers but I've always gone back to using the Clean and Clear Soothing Eye Makeup Remover. I'm already on my 4th bottle and I will continue to repurchase this product.
For something that was very inexpensive, retailing for around $6, I wasn't really expecting it to work that effectively but I was proven wrong. Firstly, this product removes every type of makeup, including waterproof makeup. The hardest to remove for me are usually waterproof gel/cream/liquid eyeliner and waterproof fibre mascaras but this makeup remover gets the job done. I soak a cotton pad, leave it on my eye for a few seconds to dissolve the makeup, then wipe. I've never had to rub vigorously to remove my makeup with this product.
It's oil-free although it contains two different solutions (similar to the Lancome Bi-Facil Eye Makeup Remover) so you have to shake the bottle to mix the two. Because it's oil-free it doesn't leave on oily film on your eye and doesn't make your vision blurry. I have sensitive eyes and I found that this product was gentle enough to not irritate my eyes.
There are just several minor complaints I have with this product. Unfortunately, it doesn't come with a pump so you have to avoid re-soaking the same cotton pad to make sure the product doesn't get contaminated. Also, only certain stores carry this product in my area so you might have difficulty finding this product. I was able to find it at Walmart but rarely ever see it at my Shopper's Drug Mart.

I really like the Revlon Matte lipsticks. It has a creamy texture so it applies smoothly and evenly. It's not overly matte - it still leaves a little bit of a sheen which I like. The pigmentation of the matte lipsticks is pretty impressive and they are easy to build up. I find most matte lipsticks to be very drying but these are not and they're definitely long-lasting.
There are many colors to choose from and they are reasonably priced for a drugstore lipstick. It's also unscented so it's ideal for those who are sensitive to overly fragrant products. I would recommend this product and will be repurchasing myself.

This is a product that's ideal to bring in your purse for those minor spills. It's effective at removing most stains but there are certain products that it doesn't completely remove (i.e. lipstick). For the harder to remove products, it will remove the majority of it but will still leave a mark. It also works better with certain fabrics (i.e. works better with cotton over denim material). Nevertheless it's still a good product to have on hand. -

I received the Tassimo Home Brewing System from my parents in my first year of University. I'm definitely a coffee lover but I prefer brewing my own coffee rather than buying it from on-campus coffee shops. While I've been trying to cut down on my caffeine intake lately, there are times when you just really need that cup of coffee to help you get through the day.
This brewing system is so easy to use. You just insert one of the T Discs into the brewer, press the button and within minutes you've got yourself a hot cup of coffee. I also love that they have a variety of flavours to choose from, as well as different types of coffee styles from cappuccinos to lattes to espressos. In addition to coffee, they also have hot chocolate and tea T Discs. The brewing system uses a barcode scanner to identify the beverage it's making, then brews it accordingly producing flavourful and delicious coffee each time. It also doesn't take up that much counter space so it's ideal for small kitchens. This brewing system is fairly pricey but with the quality of product you are getting, it's definitely worth it the price.
I contacted their costumer service to tell them what I thought about their products and they were nice enough to send me some samples and coupons I could use on my next purchase of Tassimo T Discs.

The L'oreal Voluminous mascara is my go-to mascara. When I recently discovered the Voluminous False Fiber Lashes at the drugstore, I decided to try it out. It comes in a shiny gold tube with your typical fiber wand that's tapered at the end.
This mascara contains small fibers that are supposed to coat your lashes and it claims to be a volumizing mascara. After using it for a couple of days, I'm liking this mascara a lot more. The fibres definitely add volume to your lashes. In addition to that, the fibers also provide added length to your lashes. I purchased the waterproof formula and it has a relatively long staying power (about 6 hours before I started noticing a little bit of smudging on my bottom lash line. It works well at separating your lashes and is buildable. Due to the small fibers, you can get clumps if you don't scrape off the excess mascara from the want. It holds the curl pretty well and is suitable for sensitive eyes.
The only con to this product is that it takes effort to remove it so be sure to use a make-up remover intended for waterproof make-up. Overall, I am pretty impressed with this product, I would recommend it and I would repurchase it again.

Although their products are on the pricier side, The Body Shop makes some of my favourite products including their shower creams. The Cocunut Shower Cream is one of my favourites. I used to live in the tropics and would have weekly picnics by the beach and the scent of coconut is something so familiar and comfortable to me. What I love about this body cream is its natural scent. It definitely smells like real coconuts and does not smell at all artificial like some other body washes.
The sizes vary but I always end up purchasing the smaller 20mL bottle ($8) since a little goes a long way with this product and a whole bottle lasts me a while. It's a little hard to dispense since the hole is really small but like I said, you only need a little bit since it lathers really well. It claims to contain virgin coconut oil from Samoa and is intended for normal/dry skin. This shower cream is very moisturizing but does not leave an oily residue on your skin. It leaves your skin feeling clean and leaves a hint of the coconut scent.
I would definitely recommend this shower cream for someone with dry skin. This is an ideal product to use during winter. Without a doubt I would repurchase this item again. I would have to suggest keeping on eye out for their deals since it is a little pricey.

I ran out of my Mac Brush Cleanser so I decided to look for a less expensive drugstore alternative. I had come across the Quo Brush Cleanser at Shopper's Drug Mart and since it only cost $11, I decided to give it a try. The cleanser is blue in color and has a mint scent. While it comes in a spray bottle, I find this to be very inefficient. Since the cleanser does not lather well, a few sprays of cleanser will not be enough to clean your brush. I often found myself unscrewing the cap and pouring the cleanser directly unto my brush. Because I had to use more of the cleanser, I went through the whole bottle (175mL) fairly quickly. Like I said, it does not lather well and does not completely wash away all the make-up from the brushes, specially gel/cream liners. I will not repurchase this product again. I read that baby shampoo makes for a good brush cleaner so I will give that a try. -

This toner works well to remove any residue/dirt your cleanser did not remove. This toner is inexpensive and can be purchased for about $7 or less and you get 212mL of product. It has a pleasant scent and contains witch hazel which is ideal for those with acne. The second ingredient is SD Alcohol 40 which can leave your skin dry so it's best to use a good moisturizer after toning. My skin is combination oily, yet I find this cleanser to be too drying. If you have really oily skin then this product would benefit you since it does a great job at minimizing oil. I find this toner to be a little harsh, leaving a stinging sensation on my skin (most likely due to the alcohol). I don't have large pores so I can't attest to whether it minimizes pores or not. I probably won't repurchase this again since I found an alcohol-free toner I like better. -

Without a doubt The Body Shop makes some of the best body butters and the Shea Body Butter is one of the best I have tried. It has a pleasant smell - not overly fruity or sweet like the other body butters they sell. It's extremely moisturizing and perfect to use during the winter. This body butter is made for very dry skin. It has a very thick consistency, almost waxy but it spreads easily. This body butter has helped get rid of the rashes I had on my arms. I apply this in the morning and my skin remains moisturized the whole day.
One major con to this product is the price. It cost $18 for the large tub (200mL) and $6 for the small tub (50mL) but a little goes a long way so one tub will last you a while. I suggest keeping a look out for sales and take advantage of their deals (Buy 3 Get 2 Free, Buy 2 Get 1 Free, Buy 1 Get 1 50% Off).
