I bought this bronzer from Wal-mart because I heard great things about it from a guru on Youtube and I was looking for a matte bronzer regardless, so I caved and bought it. Now I know why she loves it so much! It is so smooth, and it's 100% matte with no shimmer whatsoever which is what I wanted. Most bronzers say that they are matte but they still have shimmer in it and I'm so glad that this product is true to it's word. It's easy to blend, and it is the most perfect colour. For the price you can't beat it and it looks like a high end expensive bronzer on but it isn't which is the greatest thing about it! It was $4! I definitely recommend this product to anyone who is looking for the perfect matte bronzer that just doesn't seem to exist. It's been found! -

I got this at Wal-Mart about a month ago because I had run out of my MAC MoistureBlend foundation and I needed something to take it's place before I could go out and buy a new one. They had a sale on where I could get the foundation AND concealer for $17 CAD (after tax) and usually the foundation itself is $16 so I figured I'd try it. Now I am -extremely- pale, and I have iron deficiency anemia so finding a drugstore foundation is really hard for me because usually they don't come in very many shades, especially ones that are as pale as I am and the best & closest to my skin tone that I have found is the CoverGirl TruBlend Shade #1 foundation/concealer. But I decided to try it out anyway and I wasn't too impressed.
I got the foundation/concealer in "Light" but it's not light at all. It is too yellow & dark for my skin and it's very hard to blend into my neck to make it look even remotely natural. So that is very frustrating. The coverage is light unless you build up on it then it could be a light/medium coverage and that's all I really need so that's a good point I suppose. It can tend to get a bit streaky if you don't blend it out well with your foundation brush or set it with a powder. I also found the smell this foundation to be really disgusting. I did like the fact that it had SPF 15 in it though.
I don't get the "colour matching" part of this foundation because in my opinion it starts off white, and then when you blend it out it goes to the colour it wants/is supposed to go to ("light"), not necessarily your "skin tone" because there is no way that a foundation could properly match everyone's pigmentation in their face perfectly with just one foundation. So I find that very misleading and I'm sure a lot of people have bought this foundation without knowing that and have been disappointed. Now I have read/watched reviews where people love this product because it matches their skin tone, but unfortunately this is just not the foundation for me. :(
I really wanted to start buying cheaper foundations but I guess that's just not an option. But I did like the concealer for my under-eye circles so I guess something good came out of this. But I would much rather have had a MAC concealer than the Almay one. I will not be re-purchasing this foundation ever again. :(
Positives:
SPF 15
Light/Medium coverage depending on how much you build up
Concealer conceals dark circles well
Negatives:
Not enough colour selection
Can get streaky if not blended out well or set with powder
Smells disgusting
Not worth the money [imo]

I bought this L'Oreal liquid liner before I purchased the felt tip version. This liner always goes on way to thick and it's not easy to control because the brush is so flimsy. If you're not careful the eyeliner will spray upwards and ruin your makeup if you run off course of your eye, I hope that makes sense. The only good thing about this liner is that the colour stays true all day, but unfortunately the colour looks shiny which I do not like. I only use this liner if I absolutely have to, or if I need to darken up the liner I currently have on if it isn't as dark as I would like. All in all, this liner as a waste of money.
I would not recommend this product if you have shaky hands, are inexperienced, like thin lines, or do not like shiny liquid liners.

I absolutely love this liner. I wasn't very good with liquid liner and I always used to mess up and have to do my makeup all over again so I decided to get rid of the "flimsy" brush liners and go for the felt tip. I had tried a couple other felt tip liners before this one, but this is the only one that I use as of now. It gives you very good control, it's easy to make thick or thin lines, and I haven't noticed any colour fading as some other girls have, and the handle is very easy to grip and is great for precision lining. This liquid liner works best for me and I don't see myself buying anything else.
I recommend it highly!

I'll start off with scent. The scent of the body wash was very minimal, but that's okay, especially for people who are allergic to certain perfumes in products. I like more nice/fruity smelling body washes, but I didn't mind the scent at all, smells good, just not very noticeable. The body wash lathered extremely well, and I really like that. My skin felt really soft after it was all washed off, but as soon as you step out of the shower and dry off you're skin feels the same as it was before. I'd say you need to use a moisturizer after this to feel soft and smooth again, but for some people it may be enough if you don't have hardly any dry skin. As for Canadian winters, I don't think it would really cut it just by itself. This is a good body wash, but there are others that are better. I use Olay Ribbons a lot and I find that just using the body wash is enough to keep my body soft and smooth all day without any moisturizers.
I'd recommend this to people who do not have severe dry skin, or even remotely dry skin but still want to keep hydrated. That's about as far as it will go.

I bought a few of these jumbo pencils months ago and I love them. You just apply it all over your lid and blend it out with your finger or a brush and it creates a perfect base for your shadows to stick to. They have a lot of colour choices so it's easy to match it to your eyeshadow that you'll be using. I've depotted one of mine because I thought that it would be creamier, but I actually prefer it in the pencil better. Just be sure to blend everything evenly so that it doesn't crease and your shadows should last all day! I use these all the time and I definitely recommend them. -

I bought the Maybelline Expertwear Stylish Smokes quad in Amethyst Smokes about a week ago from Walmart For $7 and change. I saw the add in Cosmo magazine and I thought that it looked really good. You get four colours: one for your lid, crease, outer corner, and brow bone. So everything is conveniently there in one quad so you don't have to switch between other products. I must say though, on the model it looked a lot better. But then again, that's picture editing for you, right? But it is pretty on it's own too. The only thing is with the quad that I bought was that the lid colour is dark purple with a pretty light purple sheen to it, but there is a brown undertone, and it looks really nasty. I had to take a colour from my coastal scents palette and put it over top and blend it so that it wouldn't look so gross. So that is about the only bad thing about it. Other than that it's great! I can't wait to buy the other colours! -

Thank you to the product review club for sending me these! I have never been one to use panti-liners because they always made me really angry. They would always move around because they weren't sticky enough, and they never really had that much absorbency, and they would get all bunched up and, well, they were just annoying! But these aren't! They actually stay put where they should be. And you can use these while wearing thongs as well! They have these wrap around flexi edges that make wearing them with thongs really easy. It's pretty awesome! And they are also really thin so you don't even feel them at all. Good for the lightest days of your period, or for your own personal uses. I really like them! Definitely not like any other panti-liner that I have ever used. Thanks Always and PRC! :)
I recommend these, of course!

I got these courtesy of the product review club. I was really excited to try them. They are advertised to be really thin, really absorbent, and long. 1) They are very thin and it feels like nothing is there at all. Which I liked. But it had me worried sometimes because I'm so used to thicker pads, so it was hard to get used to it in the first little while, but afterwards I was definitely grateful. 2) They are quite absorbent! I was thinking how could something so thin be so absorbent? I was definitely surprised! And they have a certain texture on the pad to help maximum absorbency. Cool! 3) But long.. not so much. I wasn't very happy about that. There are other Always pads that are longer than these. And lastly, I have quite a heavy flow most days, so really these pads are not the greatest for me even though they are for "heavy flows". But for the light days, they are perfect, at least for me. Thanks Always and PRC! -

I went to Shoppers Drugmart to buy Marcelle's Eye Makeup Remover (I have a review on it) about a week ago, and this came free with it. It was 11.95 for the make-up remover, but Marcelle's website says that the average cost for just the mascara is 11.95, so obviously I got an AMAZING deal.
At first I was not sure if I really liked it because the wand was really small and the application was kind of rough. Eventually I got a good handle on the wand and now I just love it! You can get to the roots of your lashes really really well, and the mascara doesn't clump. The wand seperates the lashes perfectly and it gives them a lot of volume and length, and I mean a lot. I like it just as much as Cover Girl's Lash Blast Mascara to be honest. The colour I have is black, and it is really black, and I like that. Some mascara's aren't true colour as they say they are. The packaging says, "High Definition Volume Precision" and they couldn't be more correct. :)
I haven't tried any other Marcelle makeup products, only their makeup remover, but I must say for a first product, even though it was basically free, I'm really pleased with this mascara and would definately buy it at full cost!
