My skin can get very textured from breakouts, so I was excited to try this exfoliant. I like that this is a leave-on formula, the easier it is to use, the better! I apply this with a cotton round after using the daily cleansing wash. I like that it is alcohol-free because it doesn’t dry my skin out, but feels like it helps dry up acne by reducing the amount of inflammation. I think this also helps to improve the overall appearance of my skin in the areas where I get breakouts.

I can get bad hormonal acne so I was excited to try a product that specifically targets acne. My breakouts are typically along my jawline and get quite red and sore. I feel like this was a gentle, yet effective face wash at helping reduce the inflammation and redness I experience. The product applied to my skin easily and washed away without leaving any product behind. The smell of the daily cleansing wash is a bit medicinal, but it doesn’t last long. I get the occasional breakouts on my back, so I’m looking forward to trying this when those arise to see how effective it is.

I really enjoyed using this daily facial moisturizer as I like to have a fragrance-free moisturizer in my skincare routine, especially when my skin is much drier than normal. The product feels lightweight but is very hydrating. After applying it to clean skin, my skin looked and felt moisturized - my dry patches were visibly reduced. The hydration seemed to last all day. I enjoyed using this face. The consistency of the formula allowed me to apply it nicely to my skin, and it lathered up well. It was easy to wash off and it didn’t feel like there was any product left behind. My skin felt clean and moisturized after using it, there was no tightness at all. My only critique of the product is that it is very heavily scented. For something that is supposed to be gentle, I feel like it should be fragrance-free. Thank you @butterly for the opportunity to try the @yslbeauty Lashclash Mascara for free. I've only used perfume products by YSL in the past, so I was thrilled to try something from their makeup line. My first impression was that this mascara coats my lashes well. I feel like the brush can grab each lash and deposit product evenly from root to tip, giving me some really good volume. I tested its waterproof claim on various occasions, from misty weather to sweaty workouts, and it held up without smudging! I also liked that this mascara was flake-free and didn’t feel like it dried out my eyes during the day. The mascara was easy to remove with my normal oil-free eye makeup remover.

I loved having the opportunity to try the new CLEAN RESERVE H2EAU in the Nectarine Petal scent as I am a huge fan of other fragrances from this brand. I like that this is an alcohol-free, water-based formula because it’s sure to be gentle on the skin. The scent was delightful, it was the perfect balance of subtle fruit and floral. This is an everyday scent that makes you smell clean and put together. The light smell makes it a great fragrance to pair with other scents. My skin has been dry and sensitive for the last few months, so I was excited to try the Aveeno® Calm + Restore Age Renewal Serum. Since my skin has been sensitive, it was nice to try a product containing a retinol alternative that could potentially deliver the same results. I used this product exclusively at night as that is when I like to do the bulk of my skincare. The formula is lightweight and absorbs quickly. It instantly provided moisture to my skin and neck area and didn’t cause any irritation. Even after using this product at night, I still woke up with skin that felt and looked moisturized. Over the last few weeks of use, my dry areas have visibly improved, and I no longer have large, flaky patches along my forehead and jawline. Although I didn’t see a reduction in fine lines or wrinkles, I think reducing the look of my dry skin improved the look of my skin overall, which helped to take away some of the focus on my wrinkle areas. -

I loved having the opportunity to try a product containing a retinol alternative over the last few weeks! Lately, my skin has been sensitive so this couldn’t have arrived at a better time. The Aveeno® Calm + Restore Age Renewal Eye Gel has a lightweight formula that that still feels thick enough to make it feel like it’s providing hydration to my eye area. The product spreads across the skin smoothly and absorbs relatively quickly. I apply the eye gel to my under-eye area and bring a bit of the product up into the outer crease area of my eyelids. My eyes water frequently, which can irritate that area, but luckily the colloidal oatmeal in the eye gel helped to soothe the skin and didn’t cause any further irritation. I used this as part of my morning and night skincare routines, and I felt like when I woke up, my eye area looked less tired. Unfortunately, I didn’t notice any reduction in fine lines or wrinkles, but the overall appearance of the skin around my eyes looked more hydrated and less dull. -

The lightweight gel formula makes this primer very easy to apply and it absorbs into my skin very quickly. I enjoy the citrusy scent, I even notice it on my skin a few hours after application. I wouldn’t say this has a completely mattifying finish, as I still appeared shiny along my nose, but the rest of my face was matte. I wouldn’t call the formula drying, but I can’t wear this on its own, I need to pair it with my regular moisturizer or else my skin looks a little dry. Luckily I didn’t experience any product pilling or lifting when applying my foundation on top of the primer. I will most likely continue to use this as I do like that it protects my skin from environmental exposure.

Wearing sunscreen every day has been part of my routine for a while now, but it’s always been a struggle to find one that pairs well with my other skincare products and makeup. As an Aveeno fan, I was very excited to try the Calm + Restore Daily Moisturizer with SPF 30 for free! The product applied to my skin nicely, I felt like it absorbed quickly and didn’t leave my skin feeling tacky. The colour of the moisturizer blended into my skin seamlessly, avoiding the typical white streaks that other SPF products often have. The moisturizer created a nice base for me to apply my makeup, I didn’t experience any product pilling. I wouldn’t say that it evened out my skin tone, as I think I would need to be using it longer to see that result. However, my skin did feel nourished and moisturized after each use, which I think led to an overall improvement in the look of my skin. Although it’s not the summer, I would say that the SPF in the moisturizer did protect my skin from the sun. I typically spend a lot of time outside, even in the winter, and can often get burnt from the sun reflecting off of the snow, but luckily I did not experience any burns while wearing this outside on the snowy, sunny days. -
