I've tried a lot of turkey bacon, and this one from Butterball is actually pretty solid. The Applewood smoke gives it a deeper flavor than most — a little sweet, a little smoky, not overly salty. It doesn't get super crispy like pork bacon, but if you pan-fry it, you can get the edges nice and crunchy. Texture is decent — not rubbery, not too dry. It's a good option if you're trying to eat healthier or avoid pork, and it works well in breakfast sandwiches or crumbled on salads. Just don't expect it to taste exactly like bacon. For turkey bacon, though? One of the better ones.
