BEST drugstore lightweight lipstick that I've tried! The color range is pretty impressive (nude to light pink to punchy fuchsia to mauve to red), and the color payoff is great as this is only supposed to be a light gel coverage. It feels exactly as described- a whisper of color suspended in a hydrating, gel-like formula. I have PIn-up Peach (a great natural lip color for a slightly brighter tone than your lips), Cherry on Top (a bright fuchsia in the tube, but really versatile since you can lightly pat it on for a wash of color, or swipe on 2 or 3 layers for full payoff), and Pink Possibilities (a staple since it is a light, bright pink). I can't get enough! The packaging is nice and compact, and the translucent, vibrantly hued tube with "whisper" in cursive is absolutely adorable! The formula is way more moisturizing than I'd expected (actually better than the Baby Lips, which are SUPPOSED to be balms), and the colors are beautiful. My only complaint is the 3-4 hour wear time, but I can't gripe much since they aren't touted as highly pigmented or long-wearing. Love love love! -

HORRIBLE product. It may work for people who want minimum hydration, a greasy feeling on the lips, and major irritation, but it completely flopped for me. I bought it mainly for the SPF 30 (a relatively high amount for a drugstore lip product) and because I love the original Aquaphor for lips and dry patches (I have eczema). While that sun protection factor is great, the texture was so thin and slippery that it got all over my mouth and surrounding area. The applicator is okay (the usual slant tip to a squeeze tube), but the formulation is horrendous. I tried to stick it out for a couple hours after initial application, but then I experienced a lot of irritation and itching on and around my lips, so I had to wash it off. I didn't want to waste it, so now I use it as a foot salve at night (it's okay for that, but not worth the price if you're not going to use it on your lips). My advice: eschew this product at all costs and buy the original Aquaphor instead- it's so much more hydrating, non-irritating. Plus, it's slightly more inexpensive. -

I like this- I don't love it. The pigmentation is pretty great considering this is touted as a lip butter rather than a full-blown lip balm. I also like that the casing has a cute quilted pattern embossed in, and the clear top makes it super easy to view and choose your shades. However, I don't like the texture. It's rather thick and heavy, like a real lipstick but without the rich pigment. I like that it leaves it my lips glossy and lightly (or moderately) colored, depending on the shade. I love the wide variety of shades, but the formulation isn't my favorite since the Maybelline Color Whispers have the same properties (light-medium coverage, moisturizing) but without the heaviness and sometimes gritty glitter. It depends on which shade you purchase, but some (like Peach Parfait, which seems to be the beauty bloggers' favorite MLBB) have WAY too much thick glitter particles. This product was just okay, but not what I was expecting after trying to Whispers. Definitely recommend the Maybelline rendition over these! -

I have a love-hate with this one. I like the fresh mint scent and wide variety of shades. But I also a have a few issues with it. The shimmer in it can get too frosty and resemble 90s makeup (especially if you get a darker shade- they ALL have the shimmer in it). Fortunately, it doesn't get too gritty. Just steer clear if you dislike frosty lips. I also dislike the minuscule amount that comes in this tiny tube. It's perfect pocket size, but you don't get too much product. All in all, this is a product that some people may love while others will hate. -

Let me start off by saying that if you want something more out of your lip balm, go for the lemon scented one, as it is the only option that also offers SPF 15 protection. I love these scents! Lemon smells more like a lemon loaf cake than like a fresh lemon, but I love that scent just as much. The hydration is pretty great (much better than Baby Lips, but not quite as good as a hydration-specific Chapstick brand or Nivea brand option). The main gripe that I have is that the odd orb shape (which is still cute) is not conducive of sticking into your pocket for convenient reapplication. But it's great if you tend to lose lip balm in the bottom of your bag, since this one is bright and easy to find. Overall: decent hydration, great smell, good range of scents (although I recommend lemon), and the value for the price is pretty decent. -

I adore this lip balm! FIrst picked it up in a European drugstore, and now they're a staple. I love that they have SPF 10 (at least some of them do) while still hydrating and imparting a subtle, pretty sheen and tint onto your lips. The smell is also delicious. They taste/smell exactly like the fruits they are labelled as. And rather than looking fake and overly shiny, your lips just look very rosy, glowy, and healthy. Definitely recommend for keeping in your purse/makeup bag as a must have do-it-all product. It works for all months, but especially summer when you don't want to be toting a lipstick and mirror to constantly repapply. Awesome product! -

I know about all the hype around these lip balms, but let me start off by saying that it's completely undeserved. I get that the packaging is cute, and the claims of "8 hour hydration" and "better lips in just 2 weeks" may entice people to purchase this product, but it's just not worth your $3-4. I have to admit that the color range is decent, but most of the shades (especially peach kiss!) have an overwhelming amount of shimmer that turn them into teeny bopper makeup items rather than quality hydrating balms. Speaking of hydration, this one has little to none. It may seem like it's working when you first apply it, but once it's on your lips for a few minutes, you realize that it just sits there and does practically nothing. My one concession is that it smells pretty great. But if you're looking for a legitimately hydrating lip product, spend your 3 bucks on some Nivea or good old Chapstick brand. They have some great scents (and even some tinted products) that far surpass Baby Lips. The only thing great about Maybelline's product is the huge hype surrounding it. -

This eyeliner is pretty awesome for a drugstore item! I have the black color, and it is truly pigmented and glides on quite well. I like that it's an automatic pencil, and the tip is the perfect size- not too thin and not too thick- for either wiggling between lashes or creating a thicker line. Besides the creamy formula and great pigmentation, it's staying power is only so-so. I wore this for a 50 minute pilates session, and at the end, my wing was a little bit patchy and not as dark black as when I'd applied it. However, if you are only wearing this on the upper lashline and don't intend to sweat like crazy, it should last just fine. I wouldn't recommend it for waterline use, though, since it didn't really hold up to mere sweat on my upper line. So if you're only into lining the lashline and not the waterline, and you want a decently priced, pigmented, and smooth/creamy liner, this is great for you! (Sidenote: wait for a sale and/or coupon for this. $8 isn't too shabby for a liner, but it'll come down much cheaper and worth your money if you get a discount) -

This scent is very sweet and playful. I'd recommend it for younger people, like teens and 20-somethings as it is very light and fruity/floral. It is not a very deep scent, so I use it most during the spring and summer. It lasts longer than other fruity/floral perfumes that I've tried, but not extremely long-probably 2 to 3 hours at most. Overall, I'd recommend it for someone looking for a light, fun scent for the warmer months, especially for the younger set. -

I have the rollerball of this scent, and it's AMAZING. It smells fresh and sweet, but not overpowering. Perfect for spring and summer, and it reminds me of bright, sunny days. However, it does not stay on very long. I'd say it lasts on my wrists and neck for about 2 or 2.5 hours before fading away. It's especially great for teens and young adults, but I wouldn't recommend it as much for middle-aged or older women as it is more of a youthful, playful perfume. Definitely recommend, and it's great as a gift (especially the rollerball size). -
