I received a four pack of premium ginger ale free as part of the review club for Chick Advisor.
The ginger ale comes packaged in impressively nice bottles. I can see this product looking good in your bar cart to use as mix. However, beyond the nice packaging I really can’t tell the difference between this and regular ole Canada Dry ginger ale. It’s definitely not worth the massive price difference for this product. I will be sticking with regular ginger ale.

The toothpaste definitely does the job of cleaning my teeth. I really wasn’t able to use it long enough to see if there were any whitening benefits. I had hoped that the baking soda taste would be undetectable, but unfortunately it wasn’t. This toothpaste just isn’t for me. -

I know that baking soda is a hella useful household staple and I will always have some on hand, but for brushing my teeth it’s a hard pass. I really can’t get past the taste of it. First thing in the morning it just makes me queasy. I already struggle with the unpleasantness of brushing my teeth and this toothpaste just makes it even more so. That being said, it is highly effective at cleaning your teeth. My mouth felt really sparkling after using the product, but unfortunately I won’t be able to stomach using it even with the great results. -

I know that baking soda is a hella useful household staple and I will always have some on hand, but for brushing my teeth it’s a hard pass. I really can’t get past the taste of it. The website for Voila by Sobey’s was easy to navigate and to find the items I was looking for. There were some great sales I took advantage of and they have the Compliments store brand that offers competitive pricing. I spent about 110$ on my order and everything I ordered was delivered. No substitutions, nothing missing. The delivery driver called 10 mins prior to his arrival and again when he was in front of my building. They want to make sure you are home to receive your groceries, which is nice. The driver asked if I had used the service before and took the time to explain how to contact customer service if there were any issues, or he could help me on the spot if I had any issues. He also explained they do a temperature check of the cold and frozen items to ensure they follow health Canada guidelines for food storage. The groceries were well bagged and categorized by refrigerated/frozen and pantry items. The driver explained green handled bags have my cold products. The customer service is excellent and I feel like using the service directly attached to the store itself has the advantage of being more personal. It seems that delivery drivers are a key part of the team in building the relationship with the customer. I think it’s a very good effort on Sobey’s part as they are now entering this ever growing market of grocery delivery services. -

You don’t need to pull your socks up and stiffen up that upper lip to enjoy a cuppa, but it doesn’t hurt.
So there are only two brands of tea, Red Rose and Tetley, that will rise to the occasion of tea time in my half English household. The main reason Red Rose wins is because I can get a decent box at Dollarama for 2$. I like that.
The tea is undoubtedly delicious. I enjoy a tea brewed strong and take it with lots of milk. It really washes away all the uncomfortable feelings of my day and sets me on a path to relaxation. I think I will go brew some right now!

I’ve had the cheaper store brands before and let’s just agree there’s nothing better than the original. The flakes in rip off raisin bran are weirdly chewy. I like how raisin bran “chews “, for lack of a better word. If it wasn’t for my dang teeth problems making it impossible for me to eat cold, hard raisins I’d be knocking back a bowl of this every morning still. Also, it helps a girl stay regular, so there that.

Listerine mouth wash is just about on the border of something you put in your mouth on a dare. It has a POWERFUL minty taste and burns the crap outta any evil lurking in my mouth. I’m willing to rinse my mouth with an eye watering potion if it’s gonna kill all the bad stuff. It stings my mouth cause I bite my fat tongue when I’m sleeping so it’s a bit sensitive to stabby pain from mouthwashes, but I like it. I want fresh breath and this gets the job done. Now I dare you to rinse for 30 seconds! -

Not a product for coffee snobs to be sure. I would say this instant coffee is good enough if you’re looking to quickly get some caffeine into you. What I like about instant coffee in general is the convenience and flexibility of the product. You can easily make blended coffee beverages at home like frozen coffee, cafe mochas and iced lattes. You can even add it to a cookie or cake recipe. I find this coffee makes my mouth dry. Not sure if that’s a me thing or what. I don’t get that from drinking coffee that has been brewed. I will reach for this when I’m in a hurry and don’t feel like grinding beans and using my French press, which is my preferred way to prepare my coffee at home. The reason we keep this stocked in our pantry on an ongoing basis is for my partner. -
