Full disclosure: I wouldn't have gotten this if there hadn't been a totally amazing sale at the Body Shop that allowed me to get this for, like, $10.00. I was in the market for a shimmery powder, but I've never gone to the Body Shop for their make-up.
However, this is really great powder. I mean, it's not subtle. It's full-on sparkly, so I wouldn't wear it during the day. But I WILL wear it to all of my holiday parties because it is super festive and pretty. This powder looks best with a flawless complexion, some black eye-liner, and a bright lip. It's cute and probably on par with lots of the other glitters coming out at this time of year.

I was super excited to get two free bottles of Vaseline Sheer Infusion as part of the Product Review Club, but I've got to say it: I'm just not that into it. This moisturizer falls squarely into the average category for me, and for $10 a bottle, a moisturizer better be better than average. That said, I'll try to break it down into some pros and cons.
Pros:
*The texture is lightweight and silky, making it a nice moisturizer to consider in the summer
*"Vitamin" has a rather nice, perfume-y, citrus-y scent (again, good for summer)
*Admittedly, it DID prevent my legs from itching... but so do other moisturizers, so I'm not sure if that's saying much
*My skin feels soft 12 hours after application
Cons:
*There's nothing super exciting about it - no luxurious emollient moisturizers like shea and cocoa butter, the scent was kind of "sporty" rather than pretty, and (this is minor) I do not like the packaging (yes, I am influenced by packaging). Again, a little too "sporty".
*Takes a bit of time to absorb
*I found the lotion left an almost powdery film on my skin after absorbing. There is "tapioca starch" listed in the ingredients. This might be the cause?
*After trying it for three weeks, I am not convinced that three layers of my skin are being moisturized. I feel as if the moisturizer is behaving the way most moisturizers behave - they work for around 24 hours, and then either you take a shower and have to reapply, or your skin dries out and you have to reapply.
Verdict:
All in all, I wouldn't buy this again. As far as Vaseline products go, I'd stick to their amazing body butter, which works a lot better than their Sheer Infusion.

This moisturizer has a lovely formula that leaves my skin really soft. It absorbs easily and doesn't leave any greasy film behind. I also don't need to use very much of it, so it lasts a long time. Also, Alba uses 100% vegetarian ingredients and doesn't test on animals, which means I don't have to feel guilty about purchasing it.
However, I do have an issue with the fragrance. To be honest, it makes me a little nauseous. When I first smelled it at the store, it seemed to have a nice, tropical, slightly dessert-y smell. But when I put it on, the fragrance became overpowering and sickly-sweet, so I have a hard time using the lotion now. But smell is highly subjective, so you might like it. Also, if I can find an unscented version of this product, I would definitely buy it again.

I agree with Artsy... This is a beautiful colour palette that makes my blue eyes stand out like crazy. The creamy texture is easy to blend, and you can create so many different effects. But the eye shadow just doesn't last. Within a couple hours, the colour and shimmer have faded, so you have to re-apply throughout the day to keep the effect going. Which, for me, is a pain in the arse. But it's a cheap and pretty product, and if you don't mind re-applying, it's worth it. -

This mascara is terrible, which, given the price tag, is a crime. (Luckily, I got it as a sample, so didn't have to spend a cent trying it out.)
First, both the brush and the formula are difficult to control, so application is sloppy. Second, it didn't add any volume to my lashes at all. If anything, it just clumped them all together, which made them look stumpy and sparse. Finally, it smudges. The only good thing I can say about this mascara is that it made my lashes really black, but so do a billion other brands, so big whoop.
Seriously, save yourself $20 and buy something by Maybelline, L'Oreal or Rimmel.

So Good Restaurant is... so damn good!!!! It's one of the go-to Asian restaurants that vegetarians go to, because the staff there KNOW what the difference between "vegetarian" and "vegan" is, which is awfully nice. They've got a ton of veg dishes, and every single one of them that I've tried is delicious. Favourites include the Wu Se Vegetables (tofu, veggies and cashews in peanut sauce), General Tao's Tofu (tofu, Tao-style), and the black bean eggplant. Their veggie-fried rice is really, really good and satisfying. I can't comment on the meat, but my boyfriend is always happy, and he generally orders the General Tao's Chicken.
The atmosphere is nothing special. Sparse room, fluorescent lights, ugly table clothes. But the staff are always friendly and fast, and it's always packed.
The price is pretty good for what you get. For two (veg) spring rolls, two veg dishes, one meat dish and rice, it comes to about $30, and you've got leftovers for two days.

True story: my boyfriend and I were hanging out on the couch one day, after I had taken a shower and slathered this stuff on in the hopes of having nice, silky skin (for his benefit as well as mine). He started stroking my arm, then exclaimed, "What's wrong with your skin, you're all clammy!" Ugh! Enough said, really.
I mean, maybe this works if you have INSANELY dry skin, but for me, all it does is sit on top of my skin and create a filmy, greasy barrier. I thought it would be like Vaseline's amazing Body Butter, but it is not. I will not buy this again... not that I need to, really, because I have a huge bottle of it that I'm never going to use up. :-(

I love this hand cream, and will probably keep buying it for as long as it is available. Why? Well...
(1) It is a nice, non-greasy, lightweight lotion that does a decent job at moisturizing and doesn't make my hands feel all grimy.
(2) It smells lovely. Every time I put it on, someone near me is all like, "What's that? That smells amazing!"
(3) It comes in a nifty little portable tube that is easy to pack.
(4) True to The Body Shop form, not tested on animals. Huzzah!
(5) The BEST part about this particular hand cream is that 100% of all net sales go to EPCAT, an organization that works to end child prostitution, child pornography and trafficking of children for sexual purposes.
This lotion is a quintuple threat. It feels good in a lot of ways, which is more than you can say about most hand creams.

I have never bought blush before, but I wanted some rosy cheeks for winter. I've heard nothing but good things about NARS blush, so off I went. So many beautiful colours, but ultimately I settled on Dolce Vita, and I'm not sorry. In the container, the colour is kind of a subdued rose with a hint of peach and mauve, and on my cheeks, it produces a natural, rosy, flushed glow. Perfect!
This blush is very strongly pigmented, so a fair-skinned person like myself only needs the tiniest amount, which is great because it means it'll last forever. It also lasts all day, so no need for any reapplication. It might be expensive, but it is completely worth the price. Totally recommended.

I bought the Aveda Lip Tint in Peony and it is so pretty! It has a sheer, shimmery finish that wears so well, I'm tempted to buy some of the other colours. It's not glossy, and wears longer than a gloss. But it has a richer texture and colour than most tinted lip balms I've tried. Plus it has SPF, so bonus. My only complaint is that it doesn't feel as smooth or moisturizing as a typical lip balm - probably because of the shimmer. But that's a small complaint - overall, this is a really lovely product. -
