This product is an exfoliation tool-not really a facial exfoliator but I couldn't decide what category to put it in. Essentially, it's a flat blade with a curved handle that you drag against your skin to 'exfoliate.' Does it work? Well yes....for me, it is especially helpful in removing ingrown hairs. I find that if I use it before shaving, I end up with a closer, smoother shave (yay). As a scrub person, it was a bit difficult to get used to not having the gritty scrub on my legs but I like less mess. I don't use this under my arms but apparently you can use it anywhere on your body! -
essence I Love Extreme Mascara
Thank you Essence for bringing budget friendly cosmetics to Canada! This mascara works well for a product under $5.00 CAD. It has a nice large brush, completely covers my lashes in 2 coats and lasts all day! Can't complain!

Dior Garden Clutch Eye Shadow and Lip Glosses Palette

I do like the lip glosses though. I carry this when I wear a neutral look and use it mainly for touch ups. The clutch itself is absolutely adorable-I just wish they would have put a little extra 'dazzle' in it! -

On a whim one Saturday morning, I popped into Hair n' after on Church Street after a quick breakfast. I'm so glad I did-that's where I found Dylan (my new stylist).
Hair n' after is a no-frills kind of place with some great talent. What you don't get in decor (like I said no frills) you get back in amazing styling, coloring and great value! Dylan is a phenomenal stylist-I call him a 'hidden gem.' He has cut my hair, colored it and if I have the time, I prefer him to up-style my hair for events (you should see what he comes up with!). Avery, the owner of the salon cranks out style after style. I have never been in the salon when there isn't someone waiting for her.
AND THE PRICING IS AMAZING! I will overlook lack of chi-chi decor for a fantastic price! Haircuts for ladies (with a style) run about $40.00 which is pretty much unheard of in Toronto (outside of a chop shop).
Give Hair n' after a try-you won't be disappointed for a cut, color, or style. Amazing prices, fantastic service!

There is a lot of buzz about SITAMAA day spa on Twitter and one day as I was browsing, I decided to take a look at this day spa (located in Manulife Centre on Bloor Street). Ever since I booked my first pedicure, I was quite impressed. SITAMAA day spa is an Aveda concept spa (so all products are Aveda). The spa is in a high traffic area but maintains a very calm, relaxed atmosphere. Staff are incredibly professional and courteous and pay close attention to detail. The spa is spotless (and I was looking for dirt. I can never find ANY. how is that possibly with white walls and tile floors?) The owner of SITAMAA day spa is quite involved and just wonderful to interact with. They truly love their customers and really offer an experience in addition to their services. I am going to book a facial next week because I have heard such great things. Right now I can honestly say that I have had the BEST pedicures ever at SITAMAA (as well as manicures). -

Oh this place is the creme de la creme for eyebrows and lash extensions! I went for some serious eyebrow help. I got a thorough consultation (and once over by my 'brow whisperer') then was able to choose between waxing and threading (I chose waxing but next time I'll try threading). My brow whisperer took her time and shaped my eyebrows, gave me great tips/education about how to work on my brows at home, then cleaned me up with some concealer and brow powder so it didn't look like I had my brows done! Fabulous. Extra points for decor and fabulous service! -

I was first introduced to Glam Glow through my Glymm box-there was a sample inside. When I tried it, I really noticed a big difference in how my skin felt (smooth and soft) and looked (brighter). Inside the Glymm box was a discount code...I was also fortunate enough to cash in some Glymm account points and picked up the Glam Glow for a steal! It is pretty expensive at $78.00 CAD, BUT....you will get enough uses out of this product to justify the price. I only use a small amount, leave it on for just under 10 minutes and presto-smooth, soft, brighter skin! I exfoliate twice a week with this and have had co-workers ask me what was 'different' about my skin. Of course I let them in on my "secret." I do recommend this-but it is a "luxury" item! -

This color is just about the most perfect base and I would say universally flattering on many skin tones. Its buttery soft with the perfect amount of shimmer. I have used this alone (shocking for me to use ONE color) and also as a base for a smokey eye. It is pricey-let's face it, Burberry is a luxury brand but this to me is a staple worth saving for! RECOMMEND times infinity! -

It looks like a rather shocking tangerine but applies quite pink on my lips. It's nice and smooth and wears quite well. If you are looking for something different and want just a hint of color, I suggest these. The packaging is also amazing! -
