Hi! I am a Mommy of two wonderful little girls ages 9 and 4. We are some toy crazy girls and love playtime. My husband has been an Army man for the last 24 years and we have been married for 15 of those.
We currently live in Kentucky near Fort Knox and own 6 acres of countryside. I love animals! Currently we have 6 cats, 3 dogs, 2 rabbits, and 16 chickens living with us. Well, the chickens live outside, but they are so much fun to have! They say you are not supposed to name them, but my daughters have named them all. I guess that's okay since we don't plan on eating them- they are more like pets anyway.
I am also an avid shopper, much to my husband's dismay. Roaming around a store (usually Target) is at the top of my list of fun ways to spend the day. I am also an avid reader and writer. I am currently writing my first fiction novel that I hope will be finished by the end of this year, fingers crossed.
I am also a breast cancer survivor and I am in the tail end of reconstruction procedures. I was diagnosed last December at 37 years old and had a mastectomy in March. It has been a long road, but I am extremely grateful that mine was caught early. Some women aren't as lucky, so I am a big advocate for breast cancer awareness and early screening now!
