My family has been eating McCain products since I was a kid! We only buy McCain frozen fries and taters. The Tasti Taters are delicious - they have a rich potato flavour. They are suitable for all meals - sometimes I eat them with ketchup and other times with salsa. They are so easy to make - if you're looking for a quick and easy meal, just pop these in the oven for a few and you'll have a delicious meal! -

I tried the original Batiste Dry Shampoo before they came out with the several other types. I instantly fell in love with this product. I have tried similar products from other brands, but they often left a white powder in my hair or my hair feeling very grainy. But the Batiste Dry Shampoo sprayed on clear and didn't leave a white powdery look/feel to my hair. My hair felt cleaner and less greasy. I was also able to style my hair better - I feel like I can get better volume in my hair after I spray some in. I highly recommend trying it out! I will be trying the other varieties in the near future! -

I received the Scotch Essentials Easy Fix Button as part of the Beauty Advisor Club. I really love this product! A couple of the buttons from my blouse had popped out, and this made it so much easier to just put them back into place! It was super quick! I also like the fact that if you happen to lose your buttons, you can just replace them with new ones. I will definitely be keeping this product in my sewing kit - what a great thing to have for emergencies! -

I received the Scotch Essentials Permanent Hem Bonding Strips as part of the Beauty Advisor Club. I have tried this product on a pair of pajama pants that were slightly too long on me. The adhesive is very sticky, which is great for the purpose of the product, but you do have to be careful with it sticking to your fingers. The steps were very easy to follow and the total process was quick. I tried hemming one side of the pant leg on my own, but it was a lot easier to do the other side with my sister's help. The adhesive hasn't budged since I washed my PJs in cold water. This product was super handy, and I recommend having it in your sewing kit - especially for emergencies! -

I received the Scotch Essentials Adjustable Hem Tape as part of the Beauty Advisor Club. I have tried this product on a pair of my work pants that were a little bit too long. The adhesive is very sticky and does a great job at keeping the hem folded in. I have not yet tried washing the pants after I placed the adhesive on them; however, I will submit an update once I do! I think that this product is perfect for a quick fix. I prefer getting my pants hemmed so that there is not extra material on the bottoms. However, this may just be because the material of my pants are thicker - I'm sure it would be fine on thinner materials. -

I purchased three bottles of the Sally Hansen Salon Gel Polishes:

I purchased all three from Wal-mart, and they retail for about $14 CAD before taxes - so, just under $50 for all three after taxes.This may seem like a really steep price, especially for a drugstore brand. However, if you were to go to a salon and get a gel manicure, you would pay almost this price for one manicure. With these products, you can get many manicures out of them.
I do like the products. I purchased my own UV light from Wal-mart, as well. It has worked well with these polishes. You just have to make sure to put a thin layer and add multiple thin layers to reach a deeper colour. If you put too much at once, you will end up with thick blobs of nail polish on the sides of your nails.
My nails are much stronger because of the gel nail polish. Also, the polish has not chipped at all in the week that I have been wearing it. The finish is extremely shiny!
My only complaint is that the polishes don't come with the gel nail polish cleaning wipes that are required for the final step. Luckily, I had some 99% alcohol at home that I used with a cotton pad instead (which after some quick Googling, I discovered was the same thing). I found that this last step was vital - otherwise, my nails were feeling a bit tacky. The quick wipe with alcohol got rid of the tackiness and added shine. Because it's so vital to the finish of the nails, I think the wipes should have been included with the polish. Other than that one con, I am extremely happy with these polishes and will be purchasing more colours in the near future!

Warning: When I purchased the bottle, it came with a warning that the state of California recognizes that this product contains chemicals known to cause birth defects and possibly other health problems. If you are pregnant or there's a possible chance you may be pregnant - do NOT use this product! I noticed that when I purchase these bottles from Sally's Beauty Supply, the bottles don't come in the same packaging, and thus, don't contain the warning label. Just letting you know so you can make an informed decision about whether you want to use this product!
I don't mind using the product myself - and am happy with the results I get with it.

I received this product for free as part of the Product Review Club. I have always been a fan of Canada Dry ginger ale but never really used their club soda. I am really impressed by this new lemon-lime club soda. It's refreshing - the taste is subtle - and it's not bitter like mineral water. If you like lemon-lime drinks, you'll be a fan of this one too. The Canada Dry lemon-lime club soda is perfect for those who can't have or want to cut down on sugar, as there is no sugar added in this beverage. I find the flavour to be suitable for my palette - however, when I feel like a I need a bit more kick, I add some slices of fresh lemons....that just takes the drink to another level! Definitely check it out! -

Daiso is the best "dollar" store type of shopping centre I have been to. Most of the merchandise in the store is $2, unless otherwise indicated - and the products are of muuuch better quality than what you would find at your typical North American dollar store. All of the merchandise is Asian - mostly from Japan, South Korea and China. This particular store is 2 stories - you can take an elevator or stairs inside the store to access both levels. You can find pretty much every household item you would need or want. The quality of products is awesome! You can find so many unique products that you would not find anywhere else here in BC, anyway. I love trying all the different Asian snacks that you don't find in a regular supermarket. They even have a packing station after you checkout for any glass/ceramic products you purchase - you can wrap them in newspaper so they are secure in your bag. It can be overwhelming on your first visit - I think I spent nearly 2 hours just looking at all the different products and being in awe the entire time lol! Highly recommend you visit this store if you live near or are visiting Richmond, BC! You will not be disappointed!! -
