As part of the Product Review Club, I received a free sample of the CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing lotion with SPF 30 in the mail. I love the no-frills, no non-sense packaging and how it was easy to pick out tidbits of information. Along the side panel of the box, there is also helpful information about the benefits of some super techy sounding terms and I would normal zone out UNTIL I read what/why it's good for your skin! I loved that the pump was lockable as I'm always lugging my moisturizing to & from home and this function helps prevent spillage. The lotion itself is completely fragrance free. The texture is thick and creamy but didn`t feel heavy once applied. When I applied it on my face, I found that it tended to be streaky/white and needed to be massaged into the skin a bit longer than my usual moisturizer. It was surprisingly lightweight. I thought it did a great job as a kick start to my beauty routine as my foundation went on super smooth afterwards. I would 100% replace my usual moisturizer after trying this product. -

When I was selected to test out the online ordering process for the month of September, I was super excited to get a free ice cream cake for my husband's birthday. Only a select number of locations will accept online orders but luckily, the location closest to our house was on the list. It took a total of 3 minutes to place an order online: (1) Choose location (2) Choose cake type (traditional vs ice cream cake) (3) Choose size (4) Choose icing colour & customize message. Pick up was available for next day and I was able to choose a pick up time as well. When we went to pick up the cake, the staff was super friendly and found my cake right away. I paid with no issues using the DQ gift card and was in and out in under 2 minutes! All in all, a great experience and I loved being able to plan ahead! -

Thanks to the amazing people at Crest & Chick Advisor for giving me the opportunity to test and provide honest feedback on the Crest Pro-Health Multi-protection Rinse as part of the Chick Advisor product review club. Although I was super excited to try a mouthwash that contained no alcohol (see: no burning sensation!), I was pretty skeptical about the fact that use of this rinse may actually lead to staining. Although effective at battling garlic breath and leaving behind a feeling of "fresh & clean," I didn't like the aftertaste and had to discontinue using the rinse. Unfortunately, I would not use this product again.

I tried the Crest Pro-Health ProFresh Toothpaste as part of the Chick Advisor product review club. I loved the grainy texture of the toothpaste and found it to be a little bit foamier than my usual toothpaste. After using for 1 week, I noticed that my teeth were slightly whiter. I thought the Cool Mint flavor was very mild and didn't leave a "burning" sensation in my mouth. All in all, I thought the toothpaste was effective and would buy this in the store!

I had an opportunity to try the Oral-B CrossAction Pro-Health Toothbrush as part of the Chick Advisor product review club and after using it for a full week, I definitely think that it cleaned my teeth and gums better than any other manual toothbrush I've ever used. I especially like the unique bristles which helped to clean the hard to reach areas between my teeth and also the rubbery sides helped to clean the sides of my mouth (felt like a massage every time!). The only drawback was that I found the toothbrush to be too slightly too big. I guess it takes some getting used to since I've only used smaller toothbrushes in the past.

I was scared to venture into the "red lips" territory given that I've seen other girls with dried out, bleeding past lip line, or worse yet, smudging onto teeth lipsticks! After reading a few reviews about this product and finding it on sale at the nearby drug store, I decided to give it a try. I thought to myself "What's the worst thing that could happen right - it's only $5." I decided to give it a try after I exfoliated my lips with a damp toothbrush. The colour is the perfect shade of red and online reviews said that it worked for every skin tone and it's so true. I slathered on 2 coats without liner or primer and waited to see how long it would last.....and I kept on waiting. It didn't smear or smudge or bleed - it didn't come off! I sat through dinner thinking, ok, I'll check again after eat. The red colour was still hanging on for dear life. After about 5 hours, the colour was still super rich but it felt a bit on the dry side so I reapplied. I'd highly highly recommend this lipstick for anyone who's afraid of commitment and wants to give the "perfect" red lipstick a try. I road tested for a wedding and left the tube of lipstick at home (read: rookie mistake) but I kept getting compliments the whole night AND it actually lasted more than 6 hours!! -

I received a package of the Tampax Radiant Pearl Tampons as part of the Product Review Club.
Given that I'm not usually a huge fan of tampons, I was super impressed with the Tampax Radiant Pearl tampons. It came with a cute applicator and as a point of difference, in a resealable bag which was ubber convenient. I would definitely use these tampons again when that time of the month comes!

These liners are my absolute new favourite - they are so "incredibly thin" that you really don't notice them at all. I love the flexibility in using them with different cuts of underwear...including thongs!

As soon as I received the package, I had an expectation that this was going to be something completely DIFFERENT versus the usual pads that I buy...and I was right! There was a cute tip on the package about how to personalize your t-shirts. This wouldn't normally be something I would expect on the package of feminine hygiene products but it was refreshing. When I went to use the pads, I noticed that there was a light scent that was completely refreshingly and NOT baby powder (FINALLY!). The pad was very thin and stayed in place throughout the day. It moved with my body, and was barely noticeable. I am going to be switching from my usual pads to the Always Radiant Infinity Pads!

I received this product for free as part of the ChickAdvisor Product Review Club.
I have long, straight fine hair but lots of it (aka tends to get weighed down!) so I was really looking forward to trying this new shampoo which claims to take away all the "bad stuff" associated with hair care products. After about a week of using the Pantene Pro-V line of Aqua Light products, I did not notice a significant difference vs my usual shampoos. To be fair, I believe the reason behind that is that I already use clarifying shampoos or other hair care products that claim to pump up the volume so I wasn't surprised that the difference was negligible. I did, however, feel better about not using products with silicone in my hair so net net, I would buy this product again.
