My husband and I have been long time drinkers (in moderation of course) of lower-cost beer. We have tried some of the more expensive brews and have come back to our old favourites every time. A friend offered a Rickard's Red Irish Style Ale at a function and both hubby and I agreed it was our new favourite! Smooth taste, less watery than our "old faithful" and a semi-sour bite at the end that was refreshing. Imagine our surprise when we went to pick up our own box of bottles and realized the price point was actually LOWER than our fave inexpensive band. Win-Win and we now have a new favourite in this house
Tip- Best served frosty cold!

I used a first response ovulation predictor when I was trying to get pregnant with my youngest daughter. It was accurate and easy to read. It obviously worked as well, we have a beautiful 11 month old girl to show for it!

I used the polysporin patch after it was recommended to me by a family member. I will never go back to my previous treatments again! It was easy to use and worked much faster than the cream I was previously been using.

I ordered a DQ cake online, we decided to go with the classic rather than the blizzard because we know everyone enjoyed it. The online ordering system crashed on me 5 times before I made it all the way through the process. We chose a sheet cake because we wanted to have lots to share and decided to make the occasion the fact that we are expecting again. We went under the "Everyday Celebrations" category because this was NOT a birthday, and chose a camouflage cake. The picture showed "Happy Birthday" on the front but the picture is small. I edited it to change the wording to "Soon to be a Family of 5!" but the preview would not come up. I ordered it anyway. When I went to pick up my cake I was not happy to see that it said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" across the middle, and my edited message across the top. The staff there was very apologetic when I was not happy, and explained that it was part of the edible image. You could not tell that in the tiny photo on the DQ website, and the preview had not worked so there was no way for me to know that. In my opinion the staff there should have then called me to confirm the order since it was obviously not a Birthday cake.... overall I was not impressed with the ordering system (great IDEA but needs to be clearer and more reliable) or with the staff response to a cake order that didn't seem to make sense. They offered to make me a new one but not until the next day, which did not work for me. When I got home I was unimpressed, in addition to the error it was poorly made (we LOVE DQ cakes normally) the top kept separating every time we cut a piece, the fudge/cookie centre was super thin, not nice and thick like normal and the edible image was not put on properly, it was wrinkled and bubbled off the cake. Overall not the experience I was hoping for. -

I got a kobo touch ereader for Christmas, then decided to exchange it for a kobo glo after I realized that I would not be able to read in the dark with the original touch. I haven't been disappointed. I got the kobo touch on sales for $129, which was $30 more than I had paid for the original. It has been a great ereader, with a lot of free books available. It is also compatible with my library's ebook program so I have not had to purchase a book for it yet! It is easy to use, and has a lot of different functions, I like the less glare screen (more like a book) and the fact that I can put book onto it to read my children as well. I will be getting one for my daughter for christmas this year! -

I bought the survivor case for my daughters iPad 2 after talking to a salesperson. I wanted the ipad to be safe from little bumps and bruises that a 4 year old might inflict upon it! It certainly has lived up to its name! 2 1/2 years later the ipad is still in mint condition, and the case is in very good condition (the only thing that has happened is my children have torn off the small rubber plug that goes over the power outlet). It has been stood on by toddlers, dragged in and out of backpacks and touched thousands of times by little sticky fingers. The case is a bit pricey (just over $100) but it was well worth it living up to its indestructible claims! I would definitely recommend it to other moms, or people who are hard on their electronics! -

As a busy mom with 2 kids I loved the idea of a waterproof, shockproof "lifeproof" case my kids could not destroy. I am in a small town so the store here had the lifeproof case only in limited colours (black or white and grey) and it was pricier than online or in larger stores (just under $100) but the lure of waterproof drove me to purchase it anyway. I have never been more disappointed in a product. The case makes conversations difficult, no one can hear me speaking and if they do it is echo-y and tinny. The audio on videos is garbled and unclear due to the case not making allowances for a secondary noice cancelling microphone on the back of the iPhone 5. I could not use it with regular headphones or connect it to my stereo as it required an adapter to do so, and if you used an adapter you had to unscrew a little plug every time, try not to lose it, and then put it back in when you were finished. After all this my youngest daughter dunked it in the tub, and there was condensation on the INSIDE of the case after, showing that after all this it was not even, in fact, waterproof. Biggest waste of money I ever spent. -

I wanted the iPhone 5 badly enough to pay an early upgrade fee from my telephone provider. I was so excited at the new features it included, and the new bigger screen. It is supposed to have a much faster processor, honestly I don't notice much of a difference but I did not have any complaints about speed using apps. Unfortunately the reception I get on the iPhone 5 when it comes to phone calls is much worse than the 4s I had before, or the 4s my husband has. Also the battery life is WAY less, lasting only 4 hours on a full charge if I am using it for anything, and a full day MAYBE on standby. I am very disappointed in the reception and battery life and would therefore not recommend this phone. When it came time for my husband to upgrade he went to an android phone instead. -

I always buy the chewy quaker bars for lunches for my family but we were headed on a 14 hour road trip and I was looking for something to replace the chocolate bars that we always inevitably end up purchasing from gas stations along the way. I purchased a family pack of Quaker Dipps granola bars (half chocolate chip and half caramel nut). My family loved them and it cut down on the purchase of chocolate bars on our drive. They are a bit higher in sugar than the usual snack foods that I would choose for my kids, but a lot lower in sugar than the chocolate bars that would have been the alternative. It was also less than $5 for a 14 pack of them which was a great deal! -
