This is one brand of water that distinctively taste different than other brands. I can’t really put my hands (or tastebuds) on it, but it kind of has a sweeter taste, and almost mineral-y? It’s hard to describe the taste unless you try it but I know people who either like it or reject it. To some, it may taste more “pure”, to others that are used to regular nestle or Kirkland water, it may taste a bit foreign. I personally don’t really care about what brand of water I drink, but I find I drink more water out of Aquafina than another brand in one sitting so I usually buy Aquafina when they’re on sale. Aquafina bottle are also sturdier and thicker than that of nestle, though they are usually pricier as well. -

I’ve had the opportunity to try different flavours of Brookside chocolate bars when the company was promoting their products by handing samples out on the streets of downtown Toronto. The chocolate packaging was appealing, an attractive wrapping as well as little trees (Brookside symbol) stamped on each square of chocolate of the bar. The chocolate is rich, not too sweet, and flavoured by bits of fruit (either cranberry, mango or coconut etc). I can easily chomp down half of the bar in one sitting because it’s so addicting. I like that the full-sized bars is divided into several different squares so you can break off a section and control your desired portions. Overall, I really enjoyed Brookside chocolate bars and will definitely be buying more when they’re on sale. -

I’ve gone through 3 of these pencils and need to restock some more because it’s out of stock at my local Walmart. I first bought this not because of recommendation, but because of the price. This pencil goes for $3 and lasts me 3 months with daily use. The application is incredibly smooth and have a spoolie brush on the opposite end of the pencil. The pencil tip almost never breaks off when I sharpen it and it doesn’t dry out if you leave it out without putting the cap on. So far, I’ve only seen 2 shades offered: Brunnet (dark brown) and I think the other is a lighter shade (Blonde). Since it’s incredibly affordable, I recommend trying these out if one of these shades works for you. -

I’ve held off from buying a BeautyBlender for such a long time because I thought it was ridiculous paying almost $30 for a small sponge that needs to be replaced every year (for hygienic reasons). I still believes the pricing is ridiculous but I now see why there’s so much hype for this product. The sponge is to be soaked in water for it to expand, squeezed dry before using it to apply makeup. The main difference from using this sponge and a makeup brush is the texture of the application. Whereas a makeup brush spreads the makeup by its bristles, the sponge presses the makeup on and in your pores, giving a smoother and a more “flawless” look. You can also control the pressure of the application and how much makeup you want to apply to different sections of the face. I use the BeautyBlender with a liquid foundation but am curious how well it works with cream foundation. I will update when I try it out sometime later. -

Marc Jacobs Daisy dream is enclosed in a very cute bottle decorated with daisies. The perfume itself doesn't give off a strong smell, which is appealing to me because I can't stand strong perfumes. This perfume has more of a fruity smell than one of flowers and typically will have around 3 hours of wear time, which can be a down side to some people, but personally I really like how the scent slowly dissipates. I wear this only on occasion but it's also a great addition to my vanity as decoration. -

I received the Neutrogena Makeup remover cloths after I traded in my points at the HealthyEssentials Program. I usually don't use makeup removing wipes as I wash my face with a face cloth, which pretty much removes all my face makeup. These are however, really great at removing eye makeup. Since rubbing my eyes with a face cloth is not the ideal way to clean off makeup (a sure way to remove your eyelashes though!), I use these makeup wipes to gently remove mascara, eyeliner, and eyeshadow. I press the cloth, which has been pre-soaked in a solution, against my eye for about 10 seconds and gently wipe away...and repeat until my eyes are clean. If I'm wearing especially heavy eye makeup, I will the go in with a cotton swab to get some of the remaining products off. Overall, I really enjoyed using these makeup wipes, they are effective at removing makeup and do not irritate my skin at all. -

I bought this product on Well.ca as a daily dietary supplement. It is a dehydrated goat whey protein powder that's highly nutritious and apparently is more digestible than cow whey. The website lists a range of benefits including: "Alleviating osteoporosis, relieves pain associated with joint disorders, including rheumatism and arthritis, treats stomach acidity, as well as sensitive digestion.
The powder comes in a brown/hazel colour which was surprised me as I thought it would be milky white. I recommend adding this to a smoothie or sprinkle a little bit in foods such as salad because the first time I tried it, I mixed the powder in plain hot water and it was way too strong for me. It had a musky, goat taste that was very unpleasant, but since there are so many benefits to this powder, I kept drinking it. It's been 2 months since I bought this product. I feel like these days I have more energy and could go on my day longer without feeling tired. This product is also 100% Canadian and organic with no added ingredients.

I haven't tried that many types of mascara but these are the ones I use most often. The LashBlast volume mascara is designed like an ordinary mascara, but it does not clump my lashes and is easily removed at the end of the day. My lashes are fairly short but this mascara really gives me a natural looking boost to my lash volume. I've had it for about a year now so it's about time I replaced it with a new one. Covergirl is a very affordable brand and the Lashblast can be found almost at any cosmetics section of a drugstore. -

I bought these on amazon after browsing the brow section. I usually pluck/wax my own eyebrows but it can be really time consuming. These eyebrow razors easily shapes and trims my eyebrows when I'm having a lazy day. There are 4 eyebrow razors per order, two regular razors and two shorter ones. Each order also comes with 9 eyebrow stencils. Each razor comes with a blade cover so it's hygienic and provides a good safety measure. What I love most about these is they're affordability and durability. The 4 razors lasts me forever and it is cheap to restock, i'l definitely continue to us them since it's so convenient. -
