I was lucky enough to have a chance to try out the Garnier Nutriise cream hair colour , shampoo, conditioner and colour shield. I have been colouring my hair for years and I do have a lot of grey in it . My goal is always to have a natural looking hair colour somewhere in the range of what mine used to be. I got the chocolate caramel and it was an excellent match for me colour-wise. The colouring instructions were clear and straight forward. As far as caring for my coloured hair...I do try to use colour preserving shampoos and conditioners, usually what's on sale. Often I just use whatevers in the shower. So I have had problems with frizz and fading colour. I had kind of thought that goes with the territory of home hair colouring. I was really, really impressed with this colour care system..WoW ! I'm not sure if the colour shield is the "magic" ingredient or the whole system working together...but all I know is my hair looks and feels great. The colour still looks fresh after many shampoos and my hair looks and feels soft and shiny. Even before I got my hair trimmed (lots of split ends) I would work some of the colour shield into my hair in the mornings and it would completely tame the frizz. I will absolutely buy these products again. And I'm already spreading the word amongst friends and family. -

I received my sunscreen just before we left on our summer road trip. Talk about great timing. I loved the texture and delicate scent of this sunscreen. It was easy to apply and spread around my face and neck. It absorbed nicely into my skin and it didn't feel like there was anything on my skin. What I have been using always left my skin (facial) feeling greasy, shiny and dirty. My skin is quite fair so I need a good sunscreen on a daily basis. The Neutrogena didn't irritate my skin or cause any breakouts. It was very easy to apply make-up over top, without any "greasiness" showing through. I like that the bottle fits nicely into my purse so that it is always handy for reapplication. I'm very pleased with the performance of this sunscreen and I will buy it again for my face. Have been reccomending it to others as well. -

I was chosen by Chickadvisor to try out the Vim lemon cream cleanser. I found the lemon scent to be clean refreshing and not over-powering at all. The cleanser was easy to use and did not leave behind any gritty residue. It was a breeze cleaning out my bathtub, the ring around the tub wiped away with very little scrubbing. My kitchen sinks were sparkling after cleaning them with Vim! I really love the fresh clean smell it leaves behind when the job is done. I also tested it on a pair of white leather runners with excellent results. I will be buying this again. I haven't tried it on my patio furniture yet but I will be trying that soon and I'm quite confident that the Vim will be up to the task. -

I bought the shimmer strips mascara for green eyes. I paid approximately 16 dollars canadian for it. That's more than I like to pay for mascara that I don't know if I will like or not. However I did want to check out their eye colour enhancement claims and it did come with a full price mail-in rebate form, so nothing to lose. I don't care for the big applicator brushes, I find them a little bit akward to use. Also the mascara goes on quite thickly and at first I had a lot of clumping problems. I found that I could resolve that issue by taking more time and care with my mascara applying technique. I did some experimenting to get the right/green black combo on my lashes. I like just the tiniest subtle hint of green peeking through. I've read various reviews on line and a lot of people didn't like this mascara and didn't notice any "eye enhancement". For me personally, I really felt that my eyes did indeed look brighter and more noticably green. So, it did what it promised to, for me. Maybe it depends on a persons eye colour or their application technique....? This won't be replacing my favorite mascara anytime soon, but I would buy it again IF it was on sale for a reasonable price. I wish we had a category between you betcha! and fugheddaboutit, because a lot of products fall somewhere in the middle. -

I was rummaging through the cosmetic clearance section at my Shoppers Drug Mart when I came across dermaglow lip gloss plumper (bare beige) I am intrigued by lip plumpers but they are so costly and quite often don't live up to their claims. I'm not sure what regular price is for the Dermaglow, but after using it for the past 2 weeks, and loving it, I would pay full price for this product. It has a faint pleasant smell of peppermint. The product goes on smoothly and easily. I find it to be much less sticky and gloopy than my current lip plumper (soap and glory's sexy motherpucker) When I wear the lip gloss plumper on it's own, it enhances the natural colour of my lips,but I most often wear it over top of my lipstick. It has remarkable staying power and it doesn't have a strong tingling, burning sensation like some plumpers do. I don't mind that sensation but I know it bothers a lot of other people. When I apply this product I feel a slight refreshing sensation. Best of all...my lips do appear fuller. The fine little lines on my lips all but dissappear. Even when I wear the product without a lipstick underneath I feel my lips look luscious, smoother and more full. I don't know how or why...but it works for me and I will look to buy this again once I use up this tube. -

I have been using this foundation every day since receiving it through the Chickadvisor review club....I love it! This is going to be "my foundation" from now on. I got the natural beige shade (I confess I never know what my correct foundation shade is and jump around amongst the ivories and beiges) and I think this was the perfect shade for me. It went on so easily and left a smooth natural finish. I swear I didn't look like I was wearing foundation at all but it left my skin with a nice even tone, almost flawless appearance. The foundation has remarkable staying power. I wore it to my restaurant job, and it stood up well to a day of heat, grease and sweat. One of the things I really love about it is that it actually did seem to minimize the appearance of some of the fine lines on my face. Also, there was no problem with this foundation caking and gathering in the wrinkles. Another plus the foundation is hyo-allergenic and unscented, and was gentle and non-irritating to my skin. What more could I ask for? I'm sold. -

Dove is one of those brands that can do no wrong in my eyes, I love most of their products, so I was so happy to find this body wash at the dollarama! But I would be quite willing to pay more for this product. As much as I love nice smelling, perfumed body washes and such...quite often they leave my skin feeling dry and itchy. So this unscented sensitive skin body wash is perfect for me. It lathers up nicely on a puff and leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth and moisturized. Even though it's unscented I think it has a light clean fragrance to it. I will be stocking up on this body wash. -

Seriously, I think if could only have one beauty product for the rest of my life. this would be it. This is the best mascara I have ever used and I've tried a lot of different brands. I guess it shouldn't be a surprise because I tend to love anything l'ancome. The quality of their products in general, is top notch in my books. I first got to try this mascara as a sample and I instantly fell in love with it. Yes, it is expensive, more than I like to spend, but it is so worth it. I agree with the other reviewer who said it was like wearing false eyelashes. My natural lashes are short thin and unimpressive. What a difference when I apply this mascara. It goes on so smoothly, I don't know if it's the mascara itself, brush, or combination. There are no clumping issues. I apply it and see lashes I didn/t know I had. I feel so glamorous when I use this mascara. -

I love this product, and compared to the price of other lip plumpers/glosses, I feel this one is the best value for the money spent. I wear it over top of my lipstick and , dare I say, I instantly feel sexier. I like the tingling feel, the gloss smells delicious, the affect is long lasting. And of course, the name is awesome...what's not to love? I'm a fan. -

I tried this product, courtesy of chick advisor. I was pleased with the delicate scent. The lotion left my skin feeling very smooth and moisturized. Quite often scented lotions leave my skin feeling itchy, dry and irritated. I didn't get that feeling with this lotion. Although I liked this product, I think it is rather expensive for what you get. So I probably wouldn't buy it on a regular basis. I already use the unscented vaseline lotion daily. If found this lotion on sale I might pick up a bottle as a special treat. -
