Luvabella Responsive Baby Doll - Brown Hair

My 5 year old daughter had mixed feelings about the Luvabella interactive baby doll. Her first impression was sheer excitement about the doll being able to talk and learn new words, as well as the fact that it had brown skin and eyes and a tan skin tone just like she does. Unfortunately, once the Luvabella was out of the box she was not as excited as expected because the doll was "hard and the skin on her head felt funny." Despite, the disappointment with the feel of the doll she couldn't wait to see the doll in action.
After many days of playing, we discovered that there are several pro as well as some cons to the Luvabella baby doll, a list of each us below.
Pros:
- Repeated play increases the
vocabulary and interactions of the doll.
My daughter loves that every time she
plays with Luvabella something new
happens.
- She has an off switch which allows you
to help prolong the life of the
batteries.
- The language can switched back and
forth, by a switch, between English and
French and my 5 year old loves the
idea of learning words in a new
language.
- The movements and weight of the doll
are both lifelike, which is something
that made my daughter feel like it was
more realistic than alternatives.
- The ability to adjust the volume is a
fantastic feature that is simple enough
for my child to use so that she's able
to have quieter play sessions.
- Having all of the accessories create
different reactions and increase the
vocabulary and interactions of the doll
is by far one my daughter's favorite
things about Luvabella.
Cons:
- The entire body of the doll is hard
which disappointed my daughter
because she wanted to snuggle her
new baby doll.
- The directions say to only feed the
spoon to the doll when it tells you 2
phrases (it took 2 says of play before
either phrase was said). This is highly
disappointing for my child who wants
to be able to try everything out right
away and then be able to feed her
baby when she wants.
- The rubbery skin on the head and face
of the doll was something that my
daughter just didn't like. She said it
felt funny and everything seems to
stick to it (pet fur, lint, ect.).
- It was also difficult to hear the
heartbeat and together the doll to
laugh when you tickled her tummy.
- The last con is that the hair of the doll
is made from the same rubbery
material as the rest of the head. My
daughter said she wished that she had
hair more like a real babies.
Overall the Luvabella doll is a great interactive doll that could use a few minor improvements. My daughter enjoys playing with this doll and us eager to show it off to everyone that comes over. I recieved this doll for free in exchange for my review, but can say after looking at her price in terms of value and quality that for everything this doll can do it is worth the higher price point and I would recommend this doll to others.

The Party Popteenies Poptastic Party Playset is packed full of surprises and endless hours of fun. My daughter was excited from the second she saw the package and could hardly wait to open it all up and discover what was inside all of the little present boxes. While discovering the contents of each present was exciting, they definitely didn't elicit the same look of surprise and joy as the confetti flying out of the popper. After everything was opened and assembled, she couldn't wait to start the party but was soon upset because there is only one doll included. Fortunately, we were able to find other toys of a similar size that could be used as party guests. Since getting this toy, she has played with it every single day.
Here is a brief overview of the pros and cons of the Party Popteenies Poptastic Party playset. Opening up different present boxes and two areas of the popper to discover all the toys is great because it allows your child to remain engaged while you assemble the playset. The moving dance floor, elevator, and cake surprise are exciting elements to enhance the fun. The included stickers are great for customizing the set. The materials appear very sturdy and should survive a bit of rough play. If you remove the bottom of the popper and keep the present boxes, they are great for storing the accessories and the confetti. While this playset is definitely a winner, there are few things that could be listed as cons. The first downfall was the difficult assembly even when referring to the instructions (especially if you have hand problems). A big con is that some of the small accessories, like the soda bottles, can get lodged in the cake and prevent movement (if this happens a pair of tweezers can be used for removal). The biggest disappointment with this playset is that it only includes one doll, so unless you have other Party Popteenies dolls or similarly sized toys there will only be one party guest.

The Quantam line of the Finish brand dishwasher detergents does an outstanding job. I put the degreasing abilities of this detergent to the test by loading several greasy items into the dishwasher along with some plastic food storage containers with sound dried on food particles. When the load of dishes finished, I was amazed to find all of the greasy dishes were squeaky clean and none of the grease had been deposited into the plastics (which were rid of the dried food). I personally prefer the lemon scented one, but the only time you'll really smell it is when you put into the dispenser (and during the wash cycle if you are near the washer). Overall, I would highly recommend this dishwasher detergent to anyone who doesn't want to have to wash their dishes before putting them in the washer. -

These pads are absolutely amazing. I've been using pads for over 20 years and the Always Radiant Infinity line of products are by far one the best. The are so thin and comfortable to wear that you barely notice they're there. But don't let their size fool you because they are incredibly absorbent and the have a very light, clean smell to offer you even more confidence in their level of protection. I would highly recommend this line of feminine products to anybody that is considering buying pads. -

I have been seeking out as many products as I can that do not contain any sort of GMOs because of family members health issues. Finding a mayo that fit this criteria but still tasted good was not an easy task, that is until I discovered Just Mayo by Hampton Creek. I was pleasantly surprised that a mayo that is soy free, gluten free, and contains no eggs or GMOs tasted just like the ones that I grew up with. It works great as a spread on a sandwich or mixed to make chicken salad. It has several different timed options for brushing your teeth and it even has a massage option to help promote healthier gums. It even lets you know when it is time to brush a new section in your mouth. In addition this particualr model has a UV sanitizer attaced to the charger which relly help me to know that I'm not using a dirty toothbrush. Even though the up front price may seem a little pricy, it is well worth the investment. This really is the best toothbrush that I have ever owned. -
