Finding the perfect treat for large dogs can be tricky, but I have finally found a winner! 🐕🦺
I recently gave my pups, Newton and Lewis, some Auntie Kim’s Kanine Kookies Wild Salmon treats—and they were a big hit! These delicious, crunchy snacks are packed with omega-3 fatty acids, flax seeds, strawberries, and a touch of maple syrup. Not only do they taste great (judging by how quickly they disappeared!), but they also support overall health, especially when it comes to joint support and digestion—so important for larger breeds like mine.
What I really appreciate is the size of these treats—perfectly portioned for big dogs, unlike the tiny ones that often pose a choking risk or just do not satisfy. They are also super easy to break apart into smaller pieces if needed, which is great for training or sharing. Fireball is a brand I have been familiar with for quite some time, although it had been several years since I last tried anything from the brand. While the bold cinnamon flavor has always stood out to me—spicy and warm—I have never been too keen on drinks with a high alcohol content, so it was not something I reached for regularly.
Recently, I came across a new variation: Fireball Apple Cinnamon Whiskey, now offered in a convenient, ready-to-drink can. This version introduces a refreshing green apple twist to the classic cinnamon profile. It is designed for ease—perfect for low-key evenings, casual get-togethers, or game nights where simplicity is key and no mixing is needed.
Taste-wise, it stays fairly true to the original Fireball flavor, maintaining that signature cinnamon kick. However, the addition of apple brings a subtle fruity note that balances out the spice. The apple is not overwhelming; it is just enough to add interest without overshadowing the familiar taste.

Ever thought about trying solid shampoo and conditioner?
I have always been curious but never really had the chance to explore this world – until now! I recently tried the Jack59 Weekend Edition Travel Set, and I am honestly impressed. To find the perfect match for my hair, I started with their hair quiz on the website – no surprise, the Restore Set was recommended! A simple round of questions and I am all set! The Weekend Edition includes a mini Shampoo Bar, a mini Conditioner Bar, and a mini compostable Shower Container. Plus, Jack59 is a proud Canadian brand that is super eco-friendly – something I really value!
I was hesitant to try solid shampoo because of my long hair. I thought it would be hard to use and would not foam up well. Turns out, I was wrong! The Jack59 mini shampoo lathers up quickly and easily. The bar is just the right size to work into my hands for a good foam and then apply to my hair. I also thought it might melt too fast, but that is not an issue at all – a little goes a long way! The scent is a natural, herbal one, but it is subtle and not overpowering. After one use, my hair feels clean, smooth, and shiny, and I do not even need to do a second round of shampooing. It does not weigh my hair down and seems to help with frizz and detangling. The conditioner bar is a bit trickier to massage into my hands because of its shape, but still manageable. It has a similar scent to the shampoo and leaves my hair soft and shiny.
What I love most about this set is how compact it is – so convenient for travel or even for my work bag when I need a quick shower after a long day. Though I am not traveling soon, I am definitely planning to keep this on hand for those moments!

It does an excellent job of detangling my hair, which can get messy after shampooing! Since I have an oily scalp, I appreciate that this conditioner does not leave my hair greasy, unlike some others I have tried. It softens my hair beautifully, and like the shampoo, it has a subtle fruity scent that I love—both products together provide a long-lasting fragrance that is not too strong. It also leaves my hair shiny and smooth! -
