Duckish Moisturizing Lotion Stick

First of all - this is a small CANADIAN business so it already gets alllll the bonus points from this gal. I have only used the Grapefruit Lotion stick (it smells heavenly) so I can’t vouch for the other scents available, but everyone in my family is getting one in their Christmas stocking this year. These lotion sticks are small and fit in the palm of your hand so they are really convenient to throw in your desk drawer at work, the car or even your purse. The lotion is thick like a balm and not creamy so it stays where you put it (looking at you knuckles) and doesn’t leave a greasy feel at all. -

It is lightly scented and works amazing at calming down my dry itchy skin that I experience every winter. I was so happy to receive this free product from Dial & ChickAdvisor in exchange for a review. Dial has always been one of my favourite go-to soap brands and they really outdid themselves this time. I received the Juniper scented soap and the smell is absolutely amazing. Like everyone else I have been extra cautious about washing my hands these days which has often left them dry and begging for moisturizer. This hand soap left them clean without feeling stripped or dry like other soaps have. I definitely recommend this product and will be purchasing again. -

I was pleasantly surprised when I subbed the unsalted Plant Based Becel for butter in one of our favourite cheese biscuit recipes. My husband didn’t notice a difference, and honestly - neither did I! I’m going to be 100% honest, I’m not sure what this oil is supposed to be used for in the wellness sense. I use this oil strictly as a natural home fragrance. I love adding a few drops to a diffuser during the Holiday season - it’s also great when simmered on low heat with a few whole cinnamon sticks and orange peel when added to some water in a pot. The smell of cloves screams comfort and warmth and has always triggered happy memories for me. -

I regularly make my own laundry and dishwasher detergents and I love using this lemongrass oil to add a fresh scent to both detergents. I also use it as a form of bug repellent and although it isn’t as effective as the big bug repellent brands I feel a lot better not slathering myself with deet. The smell is strong and the oil appears to be a really good quality. -

I am writing this review in the midst of the Covid 19 outbreak and I like to think of myself as a sanitizer guru at this point. I picked up this bottle for around $8 at a local store. I love that it is made in Canada and I really love that it isn’t scented like so many other sanitizers as that always gives me a headache. It has aloe in it so it helps with the drying factor of the alcohol. -
