I have eaten sushi in many restaurants in many cities, and Bay Sushi stands out for me as one of the best.
Service
It's a small, clean restaurant that has cafeteria style service (i.e., line up and place your order, pick up your food when they announce your order number). There isn't a lot of room, so it's best to avoid busy times (especially lunch).
Price
The prices are reasonable - less than typical sit-down sushi places. Comparable prices to fast food style sushi. But waaay better.
Food
Ahh, the food. It is sooo good! The fish is *so crazy fresh*. It melts in your mouth. Their seasonings (like teriyaki sauces) are tasty and full-flavoured, but not overbearing. The rice is fresh. I could go on all day, but all you really need to know is: YUM.
Bottom line: fast, reasonably-reasonably priced, and DELICIOUS.

I also love the slight burn of the menthol - it feels like it's working as soon as I put it on!
As far as the cherry flavour is concerned, I can take it or leave it. I use the regular Blistex Lip Medex regularly and don't find myself longing for flavour, but I do like it in the Cherry product. Boyfriend says it reminds him of cough drops, but I don't mind it!
Can't say enough good things about Lip Medex. Highly recommended.

Quality
What I do like about this product is the ever-so-slight berry tint that it gives to me lips. It just makes them look a little "rosier" than natural. And it offers a little shine, as well. I would recommend it to someone who wants something between a gloss and a lip balm - subtle colour and shine, with a nourishing element.
Effectiveness
I don't find this lip balm to be an especially effective moisturizer. It wears more like a gloss, sitting on my lips rathering than absorbing into them. And truthfully, I cannot rely on it to keep my lips healthy by itself, as I would expect from a decent lip balm.

I bought the coconut lip balm because I love coconut. This product does not disappoint! It has a rich coconut flavour and scent.
This is an excellent lip balm to use daily for prevention on lip dryness, chapping and cracking. I would've given a 5-star rating for Effectiveness if it was better for repairing damaged lips. But it definitely maintains my lips well if they aren't in really bad shape, even during our long dry winters.
This lip balm doesn't give a high-gloss finish (Boyfriend loves to borrow it). It lasts a long time and is a great base layer before lipstick.
Highly recommended!

I am currently using the More Moisture lip balm in Grape. It is made with mostly organic ingredients and the contain no petroleum, gluten, synthetic preservatives, or GMO products. The flavour is awesome! It smells and tastes like grape Kool-Aid.
It applies easily and doesn't leave my lips feeling greasy. It stays on well and serves as a good base layer on my lips before I apply lipstick.
It works well to keep my lips moisturized and soft. I would have given 5 stars for effectiveness, but I don't think it's the most effective product out there for lip repair. But for prevention of dryness, cracking and chapping, this is a great product.

I tried applying and blending several brands of BB creams in-store, and chose the Marcelle Anti-Aging BB Cream because it applies well. Rather than sitting on top of the skin like a mask, this cream is absorbed so your skin feels more hydrated and less smothered.
As far as coverage goes, it does about what I'd expect from a BB. It blends well to even your complexion, masking any slight inconsistencies. I use a little concealer on blemishes before applying the BB if I want better coverage. Not suitable for full-coverage by any means, but it's great for those days when you just don't want to go out bare-faced or don't have time for your full makeup routine. Tip: dabbing it on and spreading it by patting the pads of your fingers in the area gives better coverage than rubbing it in.
I love that this cream has an SPF of 20 (not sure about the regular version). I cannot comment on the effectiveness of the "anti-aging" properties, but I like that they're in there (may as well get ahead of the game). The consistency of the cream is a little thin, but not so much so that it's difficult to apply. It can be applied with a sponge of brush, but I prefer to just use my fingers.
I dislike a few things about this Marcelle BB. First, there are only 2 colour options (I suppose this is reflective of the fact that BB creams seem to be more for skin care, rather than makeup). That being said, the shade I chose (light to medium) does match my skin well. I also have complaints about the pump - it is a little hard to control. I usually dispense my makeup little-by-little, as I move around my face, but it is difficult to get just a tiny amount of cream from this pump so it's easier to do one pump (or partial-pump, as my case may be), to get what you need for the whole job.
Price-wise... this is a more expensive for a drugstore option (regularly about $29 at Shoppers). I was patient and waited for it to go on sale, and got it for about $22 at London Drugs - plus bonus mascara. Score!
I use this a few times a week and and happy with it. I will buy it again - on sale :)

I'm not much for lipstick, but I've recently tried 2 CoverGirl shades and was pleasantly surprised.
They apply nicely and don't run, but they don't last an especially long time.
I found that the darker colour is actually hard to remove, and leaves some stains in the creases on my lips - a problem for me because it is NOT a colour I would wear regularly.
The colours I tried were:
Verve (medium pink with shimmer) - I really like the tone of pink in this lipstick. I was really surprised about the amount of shimmer it gave, though! It's a good thing I like shimmer, because I seems to almost over-power the pink.
Hot Passion (red, red, red!) - This colour is not for the faint of heart! It is a bold, bright, truly red lipstick. Take your time and apply it with precision, because 'colouring outside the lines' will really show up. It's a matte shade, but you can dress it up with some gloss if you're looking for even more "pow"!

I set out looking for a lipstick that would give my lips a frosty shimmer. I can stop looking.
This lipstick is provides awesome, glittery shimmer. It seems dry while applying, but I doesn't settle in the cracks of your lips like some other cheap lipsticks. Apply it carefully - you can easily over-do it with this shade. Also, if you're looking to create the illusion of full lips, this probably won't do it for you.
Great for a flashy night out!
I picked it up at London Drugs for $1.99, so if you ask me... totally worth it!

A disclaimer before you read any further: I purchased this product on a recent shopping trip to the US. I have not yet found it in Canada.
This is my new favourite base/top coat!! Ringing up at just 3.58 US$, it is a very worthwhile investment if you want a durable and beautiful home manicure!
I apply a typical base coat, then proceed with a couple coats of any colour I want. I top it with a generous layer of this Nail Aid treatment (doesn't need to be too thick, but I use more than average for the top coat). The result is hard, shiny nails that make even my cheaper drugstore polishes look rich and deep.
It will keep my nails looking high-class for a couple days easily - chip-free, wear-free, and high-gloss - but I re-apply it every second day to make my home manicure last about a week. Why put all that work into your nails and have them chip the next day?!
I can't say that it dries in 3 minutes, sadly, but it is basically set in about 10 minutes and absolutely, completely dry in under an hour. Faster than your average nail polish.
Another thing I love about this product... since I've started using this regularly, my nails are stronger (and consequently, longer) than normally. To get these benefits, you can also use this treatment without polish. It claims to provide 11x the strengthening power of a gel treatment, which seems pretty boastful but I can't compare because I've never had a gel manicure. All I know is... I'm impressed!
Bottom line: This is the cheapest, easiest way I've found to get a rich-looking and durable home manicure. You CAN NOT go wrong!
