This is a pretty durable sponge and feels good quality. It does not disintegrate after a couple of uses. The sponge is two layers, one for more delicate scrubbing and a harsher side for more intense clean. I would definitely buy this product again.

I made this for my husband as I don’t eat rice. He ate it, but said it wasn’t his favourite and wouldn’t want to have it again. I think the four person serving is high as many, especially men will eat perhaps half the pack.

The bottle is a pump bottle and I use about three pumps for my just below the shoulder length hair. I then comb it through and style.
The serum is clear and easily spreads through the hair and doesn't feel sticky on either the hands or the hair. The fragrance is very light and hardly noticeable which I like.
But did it work?
I have to say yes it did. I didn't notice big changes in volume, but it definitely made my hair feel fuller and it helps my hair hold a curl when I choose to curl it. Normally curls fall out after a few hours but using this serum definitely helped.
For me, the biggest difference is the softness it gives my hair without it feeling limp and lifeless. It is so soft to the touch I find myself twisting it through my fingers as it feels so nice, it also doesn't weigh my hair down like so many other products. My hair doesn't feel sticky or stiff, it's just soft and full of body. It also adds to the shine
I love this serum and will definitely buy it again. I will also try their shampoo and conditioner from the same range to see if they make any further difference.

I missed out on the original version of the Kat Von D MetalMatte Eyeshadow Palette, so when this MetalMatte Mini went on sale I just had to have it.
The actual palette is the same as the box except the reverse has outlines of the eyeshadows as opposed to coloured images. Now, something that had never occured to me until I realised I had taken a photo of the palette upside down was that the wording on the front spells metal one way and matte when you turn it upside down.
Anyway, opening the palette you have ten amazing shades of eyeshadow. The five metal shades are in circular pans on the top row and the five matte shades are in rectangular pans along the bottom.
Anyone who has the original MetalMatte palette will be giving this one a miss as all but three of the metal shades are in the original. The three that aren't are from the Metal Crush eyeshadows so should be available separately if you really want them.
I love all the metal shades, even though I am not a fan of shimmery eyeshadow. I'm just too old for it these days, but these shades are really beautiful. They are soft and have great pigmentation and all blend really nicely. They all work with or without primer, but last longer and have less fallout if applied over primer. They are all rich, warm shades that lasted over eight hours on my oily lids (with primer) and they are not overly glittery, so can be worn by young and old alike.
The mattes, one the other hand, were a disappointment. I love the shade selection as they all work really well together, but for me the performance was a little lack- luste. All really need a primer as a base to get the best out of them. I am not keen on Feather or Suede as they needed much more product to get the colour to come through and both had fallout issues. My favorite by far is Velvet as I love plum shades, but I have other similar shades, including some from Kat, that work better.

The palette contains 18 shadows with different finishes in three rows of six. Overall, there is a great selection of shades to suit every skin tone and every need. There are plenty of neutrals, deep shades, glam shades and transitions shades, but most of the shades are on the warm side.
The pigmentation was good and they were very soft and blendable. I found that, without exception, they all worked better over primer, giving much better colour payoff and less fallout. This is particuarly true of the matte shades which definitely benefit from being laid over primer. When I removed the swatches from my arm, they came off very easily where there was no primer, but were much tougher to remove from the primed areas, which says a lot.
By far, my favorite shade is Paradise on the bottom row. It is a rich, pigmented shimmer that is a metallic purple. It shimmers depending on the light, like a foiled shadow look. Beautiful. I also like Legend, Penny, Dreamer, Popular, Adobe and Faux. Midnight is also a lovely deep blue shimmer, but needs primer to bring out the best of it. Without primer, it is dry and patchy. My least favorites are Bossy, Zenon, Lola, Billionaire and Galaxy.
Overall, I'm really liking this palette. There are enough shades that you can make lots of different looks without using an additional palette. I strongly recommend using primer for all the shades as it will give your colours that added pop and make them last longer.

Gary Cockerill is a British makeup artist who has made up stars such as Kelly Brook, Isla Fisher, Melanie Griffith, Eva Longoria and David Beckham. This is his first book, and I bought it in 2016 and have loved it ever since.
The chapters are divided into Face, Eyes and Lips and each chapter is then split into sections.
I love how the book is beautifully illustrated and the hardcover gives the book a certain elegance. Each section is highly detailed and gives lots of information and step by step instructions.
In the face section, for example, he goes into detail about how to look after your skin and how different skin types need a different type of skincare. He also looks at skin issues such as dark circles, redness, age spots etc.
He then goes into great detail about foundation, concealer, bronzer, powder and everything else face related such as skin tones and colour correction. All the pages are illustrated with real people and you see before, during and after photos. The sections on eyes and lips equally detailed and illustrated. The thing I especially like about this book is that it covers all ages and skin tones.
If you are looking for a good makeup book, then I would strongly advise you to take a look at this one. There are lots of makeup books about, and I have quite a few, but this is definitely my favorite.

I placed a recent Sephora order and had the chance to get a free deluxe sample of the Origins Frothy Face Wash.
The deluxe sample I received was a 1 fl.oz./30 ml clear tube. The product is free of parabens, sulfates and phthalates. However, I was disappointed to learn that it is not cruelty-free as the name, look and free of the brand suggests this, well to me it does anyway.
To use the product you simply squeeze a small amount into your hand, mix with water to lather and then apply to the face. After swirling over the entire face you rinse with water and you are done. You should use this morning and evening for the best results.
The first thing I have to mention is that you only need a very tiny amount. The first time I used it I probably used about three times what I needed, so only begin with a pea-size amount and you will see that will be more than enough for your whole face and neck.
It lathers really well and feels very soft on the skin. When I rinse the product off, my face feels very clean and fresh. After patting dry, my face never felt tight or dry, just very refreshed. I have never had a reaction to the product and no irritation.
After using this for a couple of weeks, I fell in love with it and purchased the full-size version whcih i think will last me about 5 months.

In my November Boxycharm I received an eyeshadow palette from Winky Lux called the Kitten Palette. I've never heard of this brand before so I was interested to see how it performed.
First off, let's address the packaging. It's pink and covered in kitten faces, well one kitten face, reproduced over and over with some flowers thrown in for good measure. Am I a fan of this packaging? No! I am not a cat lady and so am not drawn to the kitty look, but of course it's called the Kitten Palette, so I guess they can get away with that one.
The palette is made of cardboard, but feels sturdy and had a good, very strong magnetic clasp. I doubt very much that this would accidentally come open in your purse or makeup bag. The reverse of the palette has the names of the eyeshadows, as well as an ingredient list. Inside the palette are nine shadows in large pans, evenly spaced out from light at the top to the darker shades at the bottom.
The shades look really nice from the palette, but as I had never come across this brand before I was not expecting them to offer anything particularly great, especially as the palette was only valued at $25 USD. I thought that the brand name Winky Lux might be Asian, but it is in fact made in the USA. I should also say at this point that the palette is cruelty-free, paraben free and gluten free.
Having used this palette several times I can now admit that it has proved me wrong. These are really nice eyeshadows. They blend really nicely and are well pigmented and soft to use.
I love to use Dutchess as my base, then Cheshire for my crease and Romeo on the outer corner. If I feeling adventurous, Ill put some Holographic in the centre as a halo.
So, this palette has proved me wrong. It is a nice palette with nice shades that work well together. I would not hesitate to recommend this if these shades are what you are looking for. This is the nice thing about Boxycharm and other similar boxes. You get to try things you wouldn't normally have chosen.

Although this product was good and did what it said, I much prefer the CC cream. I noticed a much bigger difference with the CC than this. If it were cheaper, I might consider buying it, but at $35 for 100 ml, I wouldn't.
