Staff Picks! Gratuitous Hottie Face Off: Ian Somerhalder vs. Josh Hartnett

Last week, Shiori and Alexandra and their respective pretend celeb boyfriends (Christian Bale and Jake Gyllenhaal) faced off in the hottie gladiator ring (in my [Alexandra's] mind).

This week, we start a new Staff Picks: Gratuitous Hotties bracket, where Mandy's pick, the teen dream Ian Somerhalder goes up against Michelle's man of choice, Josh Hartnett! After three gruelling rounds, one man will be crowned the champion winner and 'Hottest Of Them All'. Because I, Alexandra, have the most experience in these hot man matters, I'll be weighing in to choose the winner.

May the best man win!

Round 1: Who pulls off the full, thick mane of eyebrows?

Ian Somerhalder/Mandy: His eyebrows are groomed, but not in that "obvious, I totally wax them" type of way. They're manicured and manly at the same time!

Josh Hartnett/Michelle: If these eyebrows were to "Meet The Parents", my hottie Hartnett's boy-next-door brows would melt the parentals' hearts. I love that they complement his puppy-dog eyes...

Winner: First off, let me say that neither of have anything on the granddaddy of eyebrows...George Clooney! Now, I had a hard time deciding on this round but I am going to give it to Ian, I think his eyebrows frame his very sexy eyes, very, very well!

Round 2: Who gives hotter squinty eye?

Mandy: You need proof that that Ian does a squinty eye to make your heart melt? Watch this video.

Michelle: When I look at this picture of Hartnett squinting my first reaction is "awww." I've said it once and I'll say it again, those puppy-dog eyes sure do steal the show! When Josh squints he appears focused but interested in what he's listening to.

Winner: Squinty eyes only... I think Josh wins; however, Ian has crazy eyes that seem to do all sorts of expressive movements. So for that reason, I'm going with Ian.

Round 3: Which one looks better in a suit?

Mandy: Look at his casual, chic 'oh so swag' demeanour in this suit!

Michelle: Hottie Hartnett for sure!!! I like it when men who regularly dress casual dress formal for special occasions. Hartnett seems to always wear a tie with his suits, I appreciate the attention to detail and that extra effort he puts in to representing himself.

Winner: This round goes to Hartnett all the way! Why would anyone wear a henley tee with a formal suit jacket? Ian, you need to get a better stylist, I hear Mandy is available...

This Gratuitous Hotties Face Off goes to Mandy's pick- Ian Somerhalder! Congrats Mandy and Ian! As a personal side note, I think I prefer Josh but, it's those darn squinty eye moves that made me sway...
