Random Popular Product: Bio-Oil

Bio-Oil ReviewsWonder serum or just a brilliant marketing? Bio-Oil is on everyone's mind, and surprisingly, it's one of most popular searched items that drives traffic to ChickAdvisor.   Though only a few of you have reviewed it, women are googling this product in droves and coming to ChickAdvisor to read about it.  So we decided it was time to find out more about this product, and whether it deserves its rep.

According to the manufacturer, Bio-Oil is intended to improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone. Clinical studies showed that over time, many users saw an improvement in color and, to a lesser extent, elasticity.

The product has a zillion ingredients in its product list, including Vitamins A & E and many essential oils such as Calendula, Rosemary, Lavender, and Chamomile. The wonder component is PurCellin Oil, responsible for delivering the active ingredients to the healing area. These oils also have a softening and hydrating effect as they lock in skin's moisture. Bio Oil is also intended to soothe sun damaged skin and the itch of insect bites.

Consumers seem to be sold; Bio-Oil is the #1 pharmacy skincare seller in most of the Commonwealth. This 21-year-old South African export has all the buzz.

However, we don't give a rat's patootie about what the advertising peeps had to say about Bio Oil. We're much more interested in your opinion!

Here is what some ChickAdvisor members had to say about it:

Age spots on hands and face faded after just two weeks, noted Msg5454.

Rasilla saw a difference on her acne scars.

Kath  was skeptical, but pleasantly surprised to see an improvement for her fine lines.

But:
It was too oily for NganNganNgan's facial skin and made her break out.

Jeeves was disappointed that it didn't work very well for women with darker complexions.

Do you agree? Rate it yourself and share your two cents on the subject!  Bio Oil is available in 16 countries, including US, Canada, UK, Australia, and South Africa.

Hi! I have to RAVE about this product. I am from Canada and have been using this product for old scars on my legs from random incidents and it definitely helps. I am currently in Bangkok Thailand. During the first 3 days of my trip I was bit by mosquitoes about 62 times! I had a severe reaction - giant red welts and insane itching and no cream seemed to help. Then I remembered I had packed my Bio Oil and thought it was worth a shot. It seems to help everything else. Well I have applied it about 3 times a day to each spot, icluding the 17 bites on my face....and within just a day and a half...the swelling has gone down almost completely and it is the only thing that has been able to relieve the itch! Maybe they should add this fact to the bottle...or maybe I just lucked out. This stuff saved my trip....I was ready to come home and in tears at 3 am a couple times when I couldnt stop itching and saw my face in the mirror looking like a mutant. Thanks Bio Oil!
