Yay or Nay: Leelee Sobieski in Spring 2013 Dior

Is it just me or has Leelee Sobieski fallen off the map? Where in the world has she been for the past few years? According to Wikipedia, she's been doing a lot of indie flicks of late, getting married and having a baby, and apparently she's also been working on her personal style and practising her poses. Just check this out:

Damn, gurl. Where did this couture appreciation come from? Since when are you so hot? I feel like Leelee Sobieski is a designer's dream. Tall, thin and lean, with a bone structure that won't quit. She is #WERKIN this outfit like it's her job. Check out that hip and hand placement. The lady knows what she is doing.

First things first, let's discuss the hair and makeup. Badass. Slicked back and a bold red lip? I like it. It's modern, fresh and androgynous which contrasts with the very feminine bottom. On that topic, let's discuss this skirt action. I think I like it. I'm not too sold on the colour and iridescent taffeta isn't my favourite, but I like the cut and length. It's different and very chic.

Now let's get to the weird part: the shoes. I have no idea what's going on there. I've looked at photos of the shoes on the runway too and still, I don't get them. It's like a cap toe and it's attached to hoisery? It's just a weird mess and I don't know how to feel.

Overall, I like this. What do you think? Is this a yay or a nay? Leave a comment below by February 10th with your vote and you could win!

Mixed for me.

I love the skirt so so so much, but like the author above I am confused by the shoes and can't get with them without some sort of further explanation or schematic.

The top is too ballerina for the whole ensemble, but I don't know what I would put there instead.... sleeveless bustier in plain would be best.

70% Leelee.

ehhh, on the fence. I love seeing her all grown up now but this is a bit too 'high fashion' for me.

Nay. Maybe it would've worked a couple decades ago, but now it just looks dated and out of touch.

Nay. It looks like an ugly sofa pattern I had growing up.

Nay. The floral pattern is okay, but that much on the skirt, and that much volume, doesn't work. Also, the shoes don't add anything to the outfit.

YAY! ...but I'd like to see some black stilettos instead. The shoes are interesting... but maybe not with this outfit. Love her makeup!

Although I like her hair and makeup, she is very pretty, I do not like her clothes at all. That shirt is awful and those shoes...yuck. So my vote is nah
