I like switching things up a bit and had the chance to try the Butterball Turkey Franks. I decided to add them to my baked beans and they were a great alternative to regular franks. They have a very juicy texture and stay plump when cooked and don’t dry out or fall apart. They were a hit in my family. I’m grateful that they are so high in protein and made in Canada as well. I think they are a healthier choice overall.

I used Butterball's Applewood Smoked Turkey Bacon in my baked beans and it was an absolute winner. I’ve used turkey bacon in the past that had a processed texture but this one was meatier like a traditional bacon. It has a smoky flavour and crisps up nicely without the greasiness. I feel like overall it’s a healthier choice to cut down on fat intake. I also love that it is made in Canada.

After using gel polish on my nails, I’m always left with some discolouration and texture on my nail beds. I usually just wait for them to heal on their own or grow out completely. When I tried Kerasal Nighttime Renewal Nail Patches I was happy to find something that is so simple and mess free and helps overnight. The peel-and-stick patch concept is great and I prefer it to any kind of cream or liquid application. After repeated use on the same nail for a few days, the yellowing became much lighter. I think it’s a great product for keeping nails looking healthy. -

The Face Shop's Vegan Cleansing Duo is available at Trade Secrets Canada. I’ve been using the pair as a double cleanse for my nightly makeup removal routine. This two-step system is simple to use. The Vegan Light Cleansing Oil melts away all of my lipstick, mascara and foundation without having to scrub my face. Following up with the Vegan Foaming Cleanser, it washes off all of the remaining residue. The vegan formulation is a major plus. Great combo of products.

I have a new baby and I don’t always have time for a full-scale cooking session so this rice box can be a lifesaver on some days. It’s so convenient and easy to prepare. All you need is a fork and some hot water, and in about five minutes, you have a delicious stand-alone meal ready to go. I even found myself grabbing for it as a side dish fairly frequently. The seasoning of the Thai flavour is perfect. The texture of the rice when cooked is so fluffy but not mushy. Delicious.

I drink a fair bit of coffee and tea and I’m always trying out products to help with stains on my teeth. I was glad to try this mouthwash because of how easy it was to add to my daily routine. Using strips or other whitening products just seem like a hassle compared to this rinse. I also like that it is peroxide free because my teeth are already so sensitive with having braces on, and this avoids that feeling. The minty flavour on this one is also very mild, so I don’t feel like my mouth is on fire and I can actually swish for the full 2 minutes. I would say that I can indeed tell a subtle difference as it by no means compares to professional whitening procedures, but for something so low-effort that I can use everyday, I think it’s an easy and affordable fix for a common problem.

Reducing my household waste is always on my agenda. Swapping out my plastic detergent jug for these sheets was a great idea. First off, the convenience is awesome. These sheets take up zero space and are pre-measured, and I like that they come in a half size for small loads to prevent wastage. My clothes come out clean and fresh, and I've noticed that it is very gentle. Plus, I love that Tru Earth is a Canadian company.

Hatch’s Cardamom Rose Oat Latte is made right here in Canada. The mini can is the perfect size for a single serving and is great for throwing in a bag for work or a day out. The size and design on the can are so cute. The drink itself does not disappoint. The flavours are so well-balanced, and comprises of spicy cardamom, delicate rose, and creamy oat milk. It's not too sweet and tastes delicious chilled but can also be served warmed up. It’s the perfect pick-me-up for those times I want something different than my usual cold brew.

Fireball Cinnamon Whisky is a tried-and-true staple in my liquor cabinet. This Canadian whisky-based liqueur has flavours of intense but sweet cinnamon, that gives a fiery sensation in your mouth and throat when enjoyed straight. However, in my home it is best enjoyed in a variety of mixed drinks and cocktails. Definitely one to try if you’re a fan of cinnamon.
