I received the Lancôme Rénergie H.C.F. Triple Anti-Aging Serum, complementary, to test and honestly review. This newest, latest, and greatest anti-aging concentrate from Lancome boasts having three skin rejuvenating ingredients working together in one beautifully packaged serum: hyaluronic acid, Vit. C + niacinamide, and Ferulic acid. I was so excited to try this when I received it, let me tell you. So I was rather distressed when I found my serum pump initially only dispensed one of the three ingredients. After taking the bottle apart and adjusting the positioning of the dispenser tubes, I managed to get it working properly. I found out that I am not the only one who has had this problem. Others who also received this serum to test did as well. So just to warn you if you buy this product, make sure that it is, in fact, dispensing three uniquely coloured fluids.
I've used the Rénergie serum everyday in the evening for at least two weeks now. With the first use, I do think that it made my skin immediately look more luminous, but I wouldn't say it made my skin look any smoother. After two week of use, unfortunately, I honestly haven't noticed much of a difference in my skin at all. I do not think my skin feels resurfaced or replumped like it's supposed to. However, I have noticed that the skin on my neck does appear and feel firmer than before.
As far as use goes, the serum is easy enough to use, but I don't like the fact that you have to pump it into the palm of your hand, mix it, and then put it on your face. Everytime I do, I feel I'm losing half my product to my hand and, considering how dearly priced it is, that doesn't impress me much. I probably should also mention that for anyone who is sensitive to fragranced cosmetics, you probably want to avoid this product. I personally find to be rather perfumed.
Overall, it really, truly pains me to say it, but I really don't think that I would recommend this product. I don't think it provides nearly the benefits that it offers, the smell bothers me, and lastly, at $170 CAD a bottle, I shouldn't have to take the product apart to get it to work or waste a bunch of it trying to get the pump tp work. Sorry Lancôme, better luck next time?

I was sent a complementary sample of Covergirl's Clean and Fresh Weightless Water Cream to test and review. Personally, I didn't like it at all. It was pretty thick textures for a water cream and it had a sort of grainy, silicone type texture to it. I had it on my skin for only a few minutes before I took it off, because I totally didn't like it. Sorry, but this product is a big no for me. -

I received Neutrogena’s Bright Boost Moisturizer with SPF 30 complementary of ChickAdvisor, for testing purposes. The moisturizer comes in a little squeeze bottle that makes for an easy, hygienic application; which I like. I found this moisturizer to be very fluid and lightweight. It isn’t thick or heavy feeling on my skin. It feels fairly natural and makes my skin smooth and glow. This makes it really good to wear under makeup. In fact, once it has absorbed, you really don’t know that it’s on your skin. I must say that I am really impressed by this considering it has SPF in it. Other moisturizers I’ve tried with SPF in them feel and smell just like sunscreen. But this moisturizer does not feel like that at all.
The only one thing that I don’t really like about this product is that there is fragrance in it. I personally don’t like fragrance in my skincare products, so that is a turn off for me. The scent itself is slightly perfumey. So a for-warning if you are sensitive to fragrance.
If fragrance is not a concern for you, this is a nice, lightweight SPF moisturizer that you might want to consider trying.

Neutrogena’s Bright Boost Gel-cream moisturizer is said to hydrate skin while complementing skin cell renewal, in order to give you instantly brighter, smoother and more luminous looking skin. I received this product, complements of ChickAdvisor, for testing and review purposes.
This gel-cream moisturizer is exactly as it sounds: it is a cream suspended in a gel. So while it has a creamy texture to it, it smoothes over your skin like a gel moisturizer does, while avoiding the greasiness that you sometimes get with moisturizing creams. This moisturizer has a very lightweight feel to it between your fingers. I applied this moisturizer in the morning and at night, as directed.
I think that it does make my skin look less dull and more awake. However, there are a couple things about this product that I am not so fond of. Even after an hour or more of having applied this moisturizer to my skin, it still didn’t feel as if it had completely absorbed. It left me feeling as if I had a sort of film on my face. Also, when I touch my face, it leaves this weird silicon/oily feeling on my fingers; kind of like what invisible hair oil feels like.
So, while this product works well enough to make my skin look less dull, I don’t personally think that I would buy it in future. If you plan on putting makeup on over it or only using it before bed, the feeling of it on your skin might not be a problem for you. In that case, this Bright Boost Gel-cream might still be a possible option for you.

Neutrogena’s Brightening Boost Illuminating Serum is an oil-free resurfacing treatment to help improve your skins texture and appearance. I received this serum, complementary of ChickAdvisor, for testing and review purposes.
First I just want to point out how much I love the dispenser this product comes with. It’s a push button dropper and it works perfectly to dispense the product with the least amount of waste.
This Bright Boost Illuminating Serum is very different from any other serum that I have ever tried. Unlike most serums, this serum is white and reminds me rather of a face milk, but slightly thicker. It very easily smoothes over my skin when I apply it and it absorbs well after a few minutes. I use this product at night time before bed. So far, I think that I am seeing some improvement in the appearance of my skin after repeated use. However, I did not see immediate results, as the packaging claims.
I should note that one downside to this product is that it does contain fragrance and is rather perfume-like in nature. I personally am not very fond of this.
I think that if you don’t mind having fragrance in your skincare products and you are looking for a night serum to help perk up your dull, tired looking skin, then this product would be a good fit for you.

Neutrogena’s Bright Boost Resurfacing Micro Polish is the first step in the Bright Boost skincare regimen. The product states it will prepare your skin for the rest of the skincare line. It will also brighten, smooth and alleviate dull, tired looking skin to reveal and immediately radiant complection.
I received this product complementary of ChickAdvisor in order to provide an honest review of the product. As per the directions, I used this brightening exfoliator 1-3 times per week. After the first week of use, I decided that once per week is enough for my skin. While the “skin smoothers” aren’t so rough that they hurt to wash my face, they are rough enough on my skin that I find more than once per week would be too much. Each time after use, my skin was left a bit red and patchy and I feel that it was a bit harsh on my skin.
I do find that this micro polish does leave my skin feeling a bit smoother after use. However, contradictory to its claims, I do not find that the polish leaves my skin looking “immediately radiant”.
One other thing I should mention that I really dislike about this product is its fragrance. I have no idea why, but this face wash is quite scented and reminds me of a sporty-fresh scented women’s deodorant.
Furthermore, after using the wash and drying my face, the scent lingers for ages on my skin. I personally don’t want my face smelling like that, especially since this product is intended to be followed by more skincare products, which are likely scented too.
Overall, while the Neutrogena Bright Boost Micro Polish is a fair enough product by quality standards, I do not think it’s very efficient at awakening dull skin and making it visibly brighter. Also, I do not think it yields good enough results to justify dealing with the off-putting fragrance of this product. Thus, unfortunately, I will not be recommending this product to my family or friends.

I purchased ALTERNA Haircare Bamboo Smoothon sale not really expecting much. I was simply hoping that it maybe would help to defrizz my hair a bit. Well, let me tell you, this stuff is amazing! You apply this treatment onto your hair before bedtime and sleep with it in your hair. No need to worry about it getting on your pillow, because this product is "pillow safe" (really, it is). It's a funny product. It doesn't make your hair wet, and yet it's not dry. It coats your hair and yet it doesn't transfer to your pillow.
The next morning you wash and blow dry your hair and that's when the magic happens. Your hair blows out so smooth and sleek. I couldn't believe how frizzless my hair was without needing to use a flat iron! Furthermore, the results of Bamboo PM does last for 72hrs, as advertised. I can actually wake up the next morning and my hair isn't a huge, frizz-ball of a hot mess! I am so impressed with this product. I really recommend it!

This Honey Propolis mask by Soo'AE NY is great. I was seriously impressed and surprised by it's effectiveness. After using the mask my skin looked brighter and better. It also made my face so soft and it lasted into the next day! The mask is easy to use and is just like your typical sheet mask. It is advertised as suitable for sensitive skin, and I agree, because I myself have very sensitive skin and it didn't irritate my face at all. I really like this mask! It works really well, it doesn't bother my skin and it's totally affordable at ~ $3.50/mask. Fantastic! -

I finally have had the chance to try Frank's Red Hot Original Seasoning, and you know, it's not half bad. I tried using mine on popcorn and it's pretty tasty. It isn't overly spicy. I like that, because it means that you can add more or less seasoing and control the level of heat you want your foods to have. I think it would be good on french fries, or even better, I think would make really good spicy chicken burgers.
This Red Hot Seasoing is a quick and easy way to add a bit of kick and flavour to your dishes.

I have never used a retinol treatment before, so I was really pleased to have Chickadvisor send me this Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Oil to test and review. This retinol oil is an interesting product. Even though it's an oil, it doesn't make your face feel like a total grease slick. Rather, it is a very thin, viscous oil that you dispense with this really cool dropper that has a button to dispense the oil. I really like the dropper because it's really efficient and prevents you from using too much product.
The first time I used this oil, like the box warns, it did make my face feel a bit warm for a minute or two. But, since then it hasn't happened.
When I apply the oil to my face, I can still feel it 20 minutes later because it doesn't completely absorb into your skin. Because of this, I personally would only use this oil at night. Also, I should note that this oil has no scent it for those of you that are sensitive to it (I am!)
After using Neutrogena's retinol oil for 2.5 weeks, I do think that it has made visible improvements to fine lines that I have.
I think that Neutrogena's Rapid Wrinkle Repair Retinol Oil is a product worth recommending to someone that has an interest in retinol products. It seems to be effective and is a more affordable option, compared to other brands.
