Excited to try out Now Ultra Omega - 3 1000mg a Canadian made supplement. I really like how easy this pills were to take, thy don’t get stuck on my throat and I like that there is no fishy aftertaste. They contain 250mg DHA and 500mg EPA, I have only been taking them for a few days but hoping they help with brain and heart health. The only thing I didn’t like was the dosage instructions, it indicates to take 2 softgels, 1-2 times daily with meals. I don’t think I would take 4 Omega 3 pills a day, cause that’s a lot of pills to take. Other than that an excellent product that’s easy to incorporate into your daily routine. -

As a regular at the gym, muscle soreness is a common symptom I experience. I really enjoyed using Myoflex 20% Maximum Strength pain relief cream. Very easy and effective, a little goes a long way. Most of all I loved that it was menthol free and doesn’t have that characteristic smell that most other pain relief products have. It was absorbed into my skin quickly and didn’t leave my hands greasy. It took away the pain almost immediately and worked for quite a few hours without the need to reapply. Definitely a good staple to have on hand for muscle and joint pain. -

I love all things spicy so I was excited to try a new and local brand of hot honey. Dutchman’s Gold Hot Honey is a local company and I love how it comes in a squeezable plastic container. Allows for easy drizzling onto pizza, yogurt, avocado toast, chicken wings, cup up fruit, charcuterie boards, crackers & cheese, the possibilities are endless. It adds a delicious sweet heat to everything. I like that it doesn’t have chilli flakes in it, but has the spice in the honey itself. It is such a good value, especially when compared to other brands of hot honey. Definitely my new favourite brand of Hot Honey.

I occasionally get pimples and was excited to try Pan Oxyl Acne Wash. I like that the wash doesn’t have a strong smell and was a nice creamy consistency. I started using every other night because I have dry skin and didn’t want my skin peeling or dry and flaky. I have used it for 2 weeks so far and have noticed that I have fewer pimples and my skin isn’t drying out. I like that it can be used wherever you get acne, even in your back. If you had bad acne, you could probably use it more frequently but I find every other day works really well for my skin.

Let me start by saying that I am not a mouthwash fan, at all. I do however love clean teeth and fresh breath. I just have never liked the hassle, the strong taste and specifically the harsh burn the mouthwash traditionally has. Also, after flossing and brushing your teeth for 2 minutes, who has time for mouthwash. Let’s face it, life is busy. This was my first time trying TheraBreath Whitening Oral Rinse and I was actually very impressed. It doesn’t have a strong smell or a harsh burning of my mouth. You don’t need a lot of mouth rise and I really like the mild almost citrusy flavour. I use a baking soda toothpaste so I liked that this oral rinse contained baking soda as well. It says to use it both morning and evening and to not eat 30 minutes after use. As a consequence, I use it every evening since I know I’m not eating before bed. Overall, I really liked the natural taste and freshness it provides and I will probably continue to purchase once my feee sample finishes.

I have struggled to find a Reef Safe mineral based sunscreen that works on tanned/brown skin. Most are thick, difficult to rub into my skin and leave me looking like a ghost afterward. I love vacationing and snorkeling especially in Hawaii and the reefs are being destroyed by bleaching in the oceans. So wonderful to find a good mineral based and reef safe sunscreen that absorbs quickly, doesn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or slippery and doesn’t leave a white cast on my skin. Love that it is SPF 50 and is made for Sensitive skin. Really like the spray locking mechanism which makes it convenient for travel. There is no scent which is also a benefit as I have sensitive skin. Will definitely use this when swimming or snorkeling in the ocean and very impressed with Blue Lizard sunscreen. -

I recently received a free full-sized sample of NEUTROGENA® Hydro Boost Gel Cream Extra-Dry to try out. I haven’t really used Neutrogena products in over a decade but was excited to try it out. I am struggling right now with some dry patches on my face, around my mouth and nose so I was very curious if it would work. NEUTROGENA® Hydro Boost Gel Cream is a great moisturizer, I really loved the gel cream formulation as it just melts into my skin with some gentle tapping. I used this gel cream for a week and I am so impressed. The dry and flaky patches on my face have virtually disappeared. I love that this gel cream isn’t heavy but still provides the moisture of a heavy cream. I am very pleased with this new formulation and will definitely will be purchasing this product when I run out. Also, such beautiful turquoise packing. -

I recently received a free full sized sample of Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Ultra Hydrating Serum Fragrance Free. I haven’t really used Neutrogena products in a long time but I was really impressed with this Hydrating Serum. As it’s a serum, it’s recommended to be put on right after cleansing the skin. Right now we are transitioning from Winter to Spring and I was struggling with some dry and flakey patches around my mouth and nose. Over the course of the day these patches would dry out and become flaky and very noticeable. So I was very excited to try out this product and to see if it would help. I have been using this serum for just 5 days and have already noticed the dry areas are no longer dry and flaky. The serum absorbs into my skin very quickly with minimal effort. The product is nice and light and has a gel and cooling effect upon application. I love that the product is fragrance free as my facial skin is quite sensitive to products with fragrance. The hyaluronic acid and natural moisturizing factors do an amazing job of keeping my face hydrated and looking plump and glowing, even after wearing masks all day as I work in healthcare. Great product that I will definitely be adding into my skincare routine. -

I recently received a free sample of Nair Wax Ready Strips with White Lily Extract. I have never waxed or used wax strips before. So I very carefully read through all the instructions and followed them. Hair must be 1/2 inch long and must clean and dry the area first. No need to warm the strips as they should be cool or cold to apply. Hardest part was ripping them off quickly. It took a bit of practice but eventually I got the hang of it. I’m not really a waxer but I think this would be a great portable option for those who like to wax. Sadly I don’t think waxing is for me.

Recently tried out Aveeno Calm + Restore Daily Face Moisturizer Mineral SPF 30. I was a little reluctant as most mineral sunscreens I have tried leave a white cast on my brown skin, and don’t absorb into the skin. It usually takes forever to rub in and still sits on my skin’s surface. However, this Aveeno sunscreen was phenomenal compared to any other SPF product I have tried. It has a slight tan tint to it, but it didn’t leave a white film on my face and actually absorbed very quickly into my skin. It also allowed me to put my foundation on top of the sunscreen without any issues. Most other sunscreens get blotchy when trying to apply foundation on top, this one did not. As I have sensitive and eczema prone skin I was very happy that this Aveeno sunscreen didn’t sting or burn my face. But actually felt very soothing and moisturizing. This is an amazing product and I continue to be impressed with Aveeno’s Calm + Restore line of products. Will be my new summer and vacation face sunscreen. -
